2 questions. Why do we open the valve cover and adjust the valves? It doesn't happen anywhere in the world.
Why don't we replace the whole part but only replace the boots? When grease is leaked, the metal to metal contact already damages the part and it should be replaced
Answer 1 - There are two types of valve systems, fixed and adjustable. Honda cars have adjustable valves and as per honda they should be checked and adjusted after 40K KM mileage. So we adjusted these. Honda valve clearance is adjusted worldwide. In Most Toyota cars it is not needed.
Answer 2 - In suspension joints it's not metal to metal, it has outer metal casing but have a plastic cushion inside where ball moves so if joint is not loose and its boot is torn then it is ideal to replace the boot and regrese it. If joint is loose then it should be replaced.
