- Mitsubishi Lancer 2006, Automatic 1.5 Japan Import, In for full mechanical and cosmetic restoration. This part covers, EGR Codes, negative fuel trim, EGR system Ignition system and fuel system maintenance, engine inspection, compression testing, rough idle problem & final finishing.
The vehicle was delivered with the majority of its issues resolved. The client was recommended to consider an Engine Overhaul if satisfied with the remaining condition of the car. Subsequently, they chose to proceed with the Engine Overhaul, which was carried out by another workshop in Islamabad. According to the recent feedback from the client, the car is now in optimal condition, exhibiting no oil consumption or rough idling since the completion of the engine overhaul.

You have covered all the details. Just a tip for cars like these, first perform basic engine compression test before spending multiple work hours and money. I have done a project on a similar Lancer everything was fine i also replaced map sensor and injectors but engine compression was low around 100 psi across all cylinders, which was causing power drop and bad fuel average. I did not had budget to replace the engine as it was around 200k pkr at that time so i just got rid of it. Lancers have these kinds of problems so mostly people avoid them and also not all mechanics understand them like Toyota or Honda. Nevertheless you have done wonderful job, Hats off to you.

Dealerships are more or less roadside mechanics with a wardi , they are given proper tools and training so there's that edge but you're paying for the tools and other resources bigtime for not much reliability, In Pakistan buy brand new drive it to the ground in 10 years and sell it to the highest bidder and move on.. No maintenance required, so far my formula has worked wonders for me but that also means i have to work harder and make that extra dough!
Adnan bhai is a genius and we all know what this country does to it's creatives and intellectuals, he would be much better off working out of state in gulf or canada/us/aus.

Yet another great episode, you simply rock brother. Have never seen anyone so determined to get it right without jugaar. Had I been running the workshop, I'd have left this car long time back. I was heartbroken to see it not get to 100% due to weak engine. It makes me very angry to see the type of jugaar roadside mechanics do like blocking the EGR tube with a screw!!! Never could have guessed this one or connecting check engine light to oil pressure light!! Keep working to your strength of getting to the root cause and fixing it like you went to negative trim on the EFI and then worked your way back. Your work reminds me of what I used to as a young engineer, I had a Civic '84 & Subaru J10 '86 model with the gold mine i.e. factory shop manuals of both. Arguably these were the best kept cars in Lahore as I did all the maintenance myself, genuine till the day these were sold after almost 15 years of use when I left Pakistan. Keep up the great work and share it regularly.

We had an 86 corolla that i started working on and we also had 84 Civic before that and it was quiet a car in late 80s with roof mounted reading lights, no other car had it then. I am MBA and worked with a multinational firm for 13 years and during that time i used to unwind myself on weekends with projects of my own until in 2017 when i decided to do something of my own full time so i created ConditionTech and here i am. We are trying to do this work the right way unlike most of the workshops operate here, we have to be patient as well but it is satisfying and It's all worthwhile when we get nice comments like yours. @@ConditionTech I am happy for you that you took the leap, it will IA be a huge success. I can already see it. Looking at the macro picture of the country's economy and your skillset, I'd encourage you to explore reconditioning of select cars and then selling those. Make videos while doing that as it would serve as a proof of the detailed reconditioning done by you, just like Wheelers Dealers used to do. Condition Tech would be the benchmark in cars reconditioning. It's not a new idea, just like workshops do it in Japan and sell those reconditioned cars. Maybe it all grows so much that you end up automating several steps. A 10-year plan, maybe Suzuki Mehran or Corolla as the car of choice.

Thank you! We don't recommend alterations or replacing different make engines, this car engine was later overhauled by client and it is running perfect now with its own engine.

treat to watch. dua mangta hu apni family car city 2006 bhi adnan sir k pas lau but possible nai h abhi filhal.
So basically, the previous owner used this car like a donkey cart. I have never seen such neglected engine.
I mean forget anything technical, banda air filter ke box ke hi sealing karwa leta hai, wo tu saaf nazar aa raha hai. You can easily clean the air filter from compress air during every car wash visit.
I am certain the engine will be full of gunk.
Pains to see someone can keep their engine like this.

How you manage to give so much time to a single car
We take up few cars at a time, ensuring that we give them proper time and attention.
Just curious if you had checked the compression at first you would've not the needed coils or injector rails and all the other parts, a better option would be to give this complete engine and get the complete engine with gear and wiring
