The thing I love most about Peter Hitchens is he truly formulates his own opinion on every single topic and will express it, regardless of public opinion or who he is talking to.

Calling it a vaccine gets emergency use authorisation. Calling it a vaccine has positive connotations with the public.
Experimental jab is what it is, and would make people think twice about the lack of longitudinal impact data on human health. We are already seeing spiralling cases of pericarditis in young males.

They didn't even get on to lockdowns as Nigel promised. This definitely needed to be longer and go into a lot more detail, especially the differences between these two men's opinions. Could have been fascinating.

People say a lot about Farage, but here, in front of an audience, with a pint, he has a chat and thrashes it out with a critic, while giving his critic a platform.
Although he is a populist (presenting simple solutions to complicated problems), and plays to the electorate's baser instincts, this programme is decent.

Agreed. Tucker Carlson has a new show over in the US (Tucker Carlson Originals, or something similar) and it occupies an hour's slot in the schedule so it would be great to see far more time alotted to this type of chat.

I loved listening to Christopher (NOT Chris please!!!) as well except for his occasional overt vulgar sleezyness. However I am much more at home with Peter's unashamed 'uptightness'. If you look up the debate between the two brothers I thought Peter won convincingly but he cannot compete with Christopher's amazing sense flair and he knew it.

I love the fact Hitchens is honest about his former opinions. He often gets smeared and dismissed because of them, but it is the mark of an intelligent fellow who can change his mind with honesty.

Talking Pints should be an hour-long segment, very interesting viewing.
Peter is very smart, totally negative, and was quite insulting to Farage - as, by dint of his haughty dismissal of anything other than his own opinion, he is to practically everyone he discusses anything with. Farage is indeed 'down to earth' and focused on achieving things .. Hitchens is content to smart in his own bubble, making little contribution.

Mr Hitchens articulates what I can’t. An unsung hero in my eyes.
Those 10 minutes went by like 30 seconds. Get these two going head to head for an hour at a time and it will be massive. GBNews need to realise when they have a pyrotechnical formula.
Peter Hitchens has never been a dull listen, though we don't share a great deal of parity in our views. I'm a few decades younger so perhaps my cynicism has yet to undergo it's full marination! His voice however is unquestionably an important one, the introduction didnt do him much justice, he's more than a journalist, he's a polemicist. Whatever you think of him, his patriotism has never been in doubt. Courageous man. This is fast becoming a decent segment on British news, who'd have thought?

Peter Hitchens is a remarkable man. I admire his honesty and sincerity - genuineness; quite unique. Mr Farage has such a balanced and respectful interviewing style. A breath of fresh air, even when challenged himself. Bravo.

Hitchens is like freight train, once he starts moving there's nothing you can do to slow him down. I heard the Yanks sent Chuck Norris against him and he hasn't been seen since, all they could find was Chuck's bandana hanging in a tree near where they collided.

I think he's a defeatist, though none the less interesting and insightful, but he's still a defeatist. But yes you are right alcohol is very addictive and dangerous as heroin and cocaine and is just as lethal. Whilst damaging family and friends to, as they can suffer just as much in the pain. Unfortunately I only know to well as I am a recovering addict, but I would never judge or hinder someone who can just enjoy a pint or two. Enjoy your w/e.
Hitchins need his own slot on this show. Doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with his thoughts and beliefs. He is a controversial character and I guarantee excellent views.
Unfortunately Hitchens seems to disagree with everyone and everything. It is easy to "sit on the sidelines" and criticise because you can never be proved to be wrong especially when your proposed solutions can and will never be actioned . Some of his comments when you scrutinise them are more than a little daft.

I probably disagree with two thirds of what Hitchens says but by god it's good to hear a person who can express their opinions so clearly and so firmly. Obviousy not a politician.

Yeah. That's draconian. Having been an addict I think that you need to educate people. Let them know that they have a choice but that you will have to live with my consequences of that choice.
The two main ills of drug education are glorification and authoritarianism. Find the middle line and let people make an informed decision.

In the context of justice does it make logical sense to encarcerate someone for 5 years for possessing a drug (cannibis, we're not talking heroin here) when people who commit greivious bodily harm (or worse) often get lesser sentences? Also what about alcohol? That kills 10's of thousands a year, go google how many deaths cannabis causes a year, I'll wait for the answer.

I agree, his show should start at 6-8 replace the droning noise of Michelle Dewbury, she is so unprofessional, totally out of her depth, I know she is a local girl made good but sometimes that’s not enough.

Its quite easy to say he is mean but when you have kids and see drugs going around the playground you will change your mind quick.
In Hitchens opinion I do not have right to determine what I put in my own body, seems authoritative to me, am I not free to make my own choices as long as I cause harm to no other.
