- Africa's leading tech and telco event AfricaCom welcomed the inspiring Thione Niang as a keynote speaker in 2016.
Thione is the US Ambassador for Energy, appointed by Barrack Obama as well as the Founder of the Give1 Project and Co-Founder of Akon Lighting Africa.
In his address on day 1 of AfricaCom, Thione talks about prioritising energy in Africa, youth empowerment and how he was inspired to tackle the skills gap on the continent.

Don't mistaken the moon and the finger pointing to the it. He talks very very well, but in my opinion not so is his action.
Good talkers are not always good doers.
Ce gars il parle tres bien indiscutablement. Mais ses actions ne sont pas aussi bavardes.
As what am concerned his speeches are doing a very good impacts on my person. And his actions are doing impacts to those who need it.
I think that's normal that his sensitisation are louder than his action do to what we need to speak is different from we need to do.

@@thiorzey Nangouna 100%. Et c'est exactement ce que je dis sur son speech. C'est juste que toi et moi, nous n'a pas les memes appreciations de ses actions. Pour certains une petite action est suffisante pour apprecier, pour d'autres la performance n'a pas de prix.
C'est un idole pour moi tout de meme, cote speech.
