I’m glad it’s not just my Q Revo MaxV that’s not good at avoiding things! I’m glad I didn’t pay $1400 for it! I got it on the open sale when it was first released they had it for $1100 and I used my student discount brought it down to $1000. Thanks for the honest review!

does it need always wifi Connection ? or can it be configured only via direct Connection to the Bot ?
I imported the Qrevo pro into theUK from Germany. I am amazed with it. I think obstacle avoidance is fine. At worst it gently touches things.
Which site did you get it from. Only site in UK I can find Roborock is Appliances Direct but has old models. Same as Amazon. Really want a S8 Max V Ultra
Tossing up between the QRevo MaxV and the dream L10s ultra pro heat, specs seem pretty similar, dreame seems to have much better object avoidance but roborock seems to have better build quality and software/app function etc. Which would you recommend? Mostly tiled floors, 2 young kids with way too many toys and 2 dogs that shed way too much. Dreame is $200 aud cheaper

I was able to get a dreame L20 ultra for $799 but had been waiting for the Qrevo Max. Not sure if the Qrevo Max actually cleans better than the L20. Since you reviewed both can you give your thoughts?

I am from Melbourne Australia and I request your feedback whether I should go for 'Roborock Qrevo MaxV' or 'Roborock S8 Pro Ultra'.
They are both similar price here, around $2200 AUD.
Can you please suggest me which one to go with? I have a mix of tiled floor and carpet at my home.
PS: I know S8 MaxV ultra is a better choice but that is over budget (around $3000 AUD)

Another channel said that the hot pad washing wasn’t actually hot but when tested it was barely look warm; also the corner brush never came out to extend in corners.. have you tested that? It doesn’t seem to get close to the edge of yours near the cabinets or in the corner .. I would expect that it sticks out to the side more based on videos on their site.. I would recommend coffee grounds spill in the corner and see what happens
the hot water is hard to measure, I have seen the hot water comes in at the end, it uses cold water at the beginning
It looked like the Q Revo mops better / closer under the cabinets? Thoughts?

these are kind of old models now. the Roborock qrevo pro is best price and the eufy s1 pro is best mopping but loud at vacuuming
@@JustADad Wow! things change so fast. seems the eufy s1 pro is the best if i have a lot of hardwood floors and a good mop and decent vacuum, correct? DOes the eufy manage to get corners as well as the roborock? What is best price you've seen for the S1, seeing $1500 on amazon now. thanks for the vids

Hi, I´ve been considering the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and the Dreame X30/X40 Ultra. Do you know if they can go under cabinets which are around 4,3 inches high to vaccum underneath?
Avoiding stairs, fall detection?

s8 maxv has better obsicale avoidance, and lifts its pads higher

Even 2cm isn't that much of a lift for the pad.

neither, they just released a New Qrevo Pro that I love, or the dreame X40 or the eufy S1 Pr. things are changing so fast now
Can you comment on the S8MaxV ultras ability to recognize and avoid the flat black table leg in your kitchen vs the Dreame x40 and L20? I see the Roborock continually bumping into the leg as it traverses around the flat left which is typical of Roborock But your Dreame videos seem to show it recognizing the flat leg is present and not bumping into it. Fat and tubular furniture legs on tables, chairs, etc are a problem that maybe Dreame has overcome with its front camera that Roborock has not solved. The side sensor and top LiDAR sensor are mounted too high to detect the leg so the camera would have had to identify and allow the vacuum to avoid it. That would be a major advantage for homes with a lot lot of tubular furniture which is an ongoing problem. Please let me know if my observation about the Dreame is correct
