14:17 Where have I heard that song before? 🤔🤔
I love it since you make it the outro of your old vids but i'm not able to find it

It’s called “ Good Things Will Come Eventually” by DJ DENZ The Rooster. 😉😉
@@johnburns5783 thanks man 🙏👍
Honestly Joey, I'd send BOTH back. They knew what they were doing, don't take that loss on the chin.
yep teach them flea bayers, shocking
it was sold as faulty, how was he deceived?
@@hmello3250 but unopened when clearly it was, you obviously havn't a clue what your on about with fleabay. move on???
they were listed as unopened so it is deceiving@@hmello3250
@@hmello3250faulty = not working = true; never opened / untouched inside + warranty seal removed = false description= false = PayPal would give you money back.
Ebay has become a dumping ground for peoples junk. I wish I had the nerve to sell all the broken crap in my shed, I'd make a fortune but I just couldn't do it, morals and all that.
Hope you have better luck next time Joey...
not only do these type of sellers lie about opening the consoles they also ask for a ridiculous price
Oh, I am gutted! That mosfet with all those burnt layers is just heartbreaking! Good on you, though to keep up a great attitude. Maybe you can indeed recover some costs by parting it out.
Wow that was one hell of a bang on that mosfet, lightning strike poss, wow on the switch defo destroyed.
I personally like the sound better in the "older" videos
You can use the grinding pen to make a hole then repair traces one by one while filling the hole with solder mask. Northwest repair, KrisFix and TheCod3r has done that before.
Shame on the shady sellers! Great job on the items, as always! The audio was good for me, no background noise, crystal clear voice over but I did not listen to it with headphones in. Maybe I'll do a second listen with some on. Great addition to the series, Joey!
That mosfet looked ROUGH to say the least. Awesome video anyway. In fact, your channel is one of my favourites alongside the two Steve's channels (Tronics and StezStix). Keep up the great work Joey! 🤜🤛
Congrats on 30k subs Joey! The consistent great content has paid off
Audio sounds great Joey. As someone who preps and reassembles boards full time, I rarely see a series x look like that. Usually there’s no visible damage and it takes years of experience to quickly find the short, making these xbox no powers hardly worth it in the grand scheme of things if you’re a large scale brick and mortar shop. I respect that you even tried that. I love this series!
A friend of myne gave me his Xbox one X as he messed up a hdd to ssd upgrade. basically, he ripped off the port for the front usb from the motherboard.
He didnt notice parts of the old connector still on the board shorting out the xbox.
After a clean of the board it worked, but no pair button or front usb as it was not worth repairing 20 traces on the board.
However, after a few months, i attempted to find the pair buttons traces and attempt a repair.
good news is the pair button works, but the usb on the front doesnt. no problem as there are 2 on the back. A massive win for me.
Great content as always and interesting to watch even if its a fail , but well done on hitting over 31 k subs well deserved too Joey 👍
Wooo! Another episode! I watched your entire playlist last week, it was very fun and informative!!! Keep up the good work and may The Sally Spectacular Spreadsheet always be in the profit! 🙏 Also is the name of the spreadsheet a reference to Sally Spectra from The Bold and The Beautiful?
Clearly those who listed the first two items knew how hosed they were, what an absolute scam.
That is why I would be sending them both back under the eBay Money Back Guarantee for item not as described!
Great vid joey
Love watching your videos and would love to be able to learn how to fix electronics. Would you do a video showing all the tools you use, would appreciate that very much. Dave
When they say that it's never been opened when it clearly has send it straight back 👍
5:00 yeet
I swear, people be taking these Switches Light to a bathhub instead of the toaster
I have binged all 29 episodes in just 2 days
Great video again ❤❤❤
Joey gives away his money 😂😂😂😂😂
I would'nt say the audio quality is much better.. I would recommend getting a antlion mic and using nvidia broadcast to cut out background noise. For me that was the biggest thing to get very clear and isolated audio (this is of course assuming you still want to keep a headphone mounted mic)
I’d be too scared to lie on eBay like most people are going to complain if the item wasn’t as described so why lie about it…
Same, I feel bad
Even when you tell the truth and are 100% transparent folk still moan and want money off or send it back!
@@tambias I have had it when my descriptions were completely accurate and people still try and return the items at your own expense.
I've even had one whereby they claimed that, because the delivery was late, it counted as item not as described, oh, they also opened not received because of the same thing.
Some buyers on eBay can be very nasty.
9:00 Looks like the screws were ... switched
Awesome new video, Joey how's your day?
Hi Joey, is there a chance you could do a basic tutorial video on finding faults and how to use a multimeter etc please? Thanks
This is why I don’t buy broken crap to repair anymore… too many scams
If something is water damaged it has to be taken apart and dried inmediatelly, if you wait it happens what happened to that poor switch lite, something fixable becomes unfixable, thats why water is so dangerous in electronics, it happened to me with a liquid damaged gameboy advance, those amazing little handhelds are almost unbreakable, but if corrosion eats through the board and traces... Nice video Joey.
Hi Joey, I just bought my first lot of "no power" consoles to try repairing -- 2 Switches, 2 PS4's and an XBox One. Wish me luck! Maybe I should start a spreadsheet....🤔
Oh no.. after a row of good items and really good fixes, even with the loss last time you get very unlucky this time. But they made an interesting video to see such an amount of damage.. but Sally doesn't like that.
Hey Joey. Tough luck with this batch unfortunately... Better luck next time! And as for the audio... It's not bad and I can understand you perfectly, but I think that the ANC is way too aggressive as I can only hear your voice. All of the other sounds are completely drowned or gone. I'd like to hear the multimeter beep and the hot air gun hum. But, that's just me... I'd like to hear also what others think about this.
Thank you for the videos, audio quality was great. Can't wait for the next video.
Hi Joey! Actually I prefer the audio you had before. Please bring that back!
thumbs up before watching ;-)
Do you only do repairs for yourself? Or do you do private jobs? I have a Milwaukee drill that stopped working but absolutely no idea what’s up with it could be the MOSFETs. Thanks and keep up the good work 👍🏻
Hi joey is there any chance you can do a vid on fixing stick drift on a ps5 controller
Very nice.
Do you dispute any of the listings and get your money back? if its advertised as not opened and it has and has been worked on then its not as described so you should put a not as described case in?
The audio is much worse. It sounds as if the compression is too high and is cutting your speech.
Great video, shame about the loss of profit, the audio from your mic dropped for a couple of seconds when you entered the Elgato to check if the Xbox displayed a picture, other than that is was fine all the way through
I thought sound was better but p sounds a bit loud maybe a fluffy mic cover ??
Shame about the series x chin up
Pleas what is called that program or software you use for counting and tracking your results! Thank you
All three listings are scams (F them!!!), try to get your money back Joey!
Mate, I would not have even offered £30 for all.of them, they were all dead ducks.
Glad to hear that at least one of the items was fixable.
For the Switch, I would open a case for item not as described because it as completely gone.
And as for the first item, let's hope you can at least re-use some of the other components so that it isn't a total loss.
Damn they sold you a spares special lite 😢.
Hi, can I give a try on first Xbox? Im fixing GPU’s with big burns :)
I would have at least cleaned the Nintendo switch lite, just to see if it work but that's just me
What i don't get is why as spares /repairs units are they worth so much. Clearly high risk - id ask seller claiming it's not being opened to show you pictures of the security seals
How many headsets do you own? I swear you have a new one in most videos. Do you usually use the mic on the headset? Voice audio was better last video, this mic sounds so muffled. I’d take background noise over this mic. It’s the first one I’ve struggled to get through. I totally love the visuals.
Try and fix the Swich
Shame I don’t live near you, think I could help you out on a few of them things. I done electronics for over 30 years and know alot. EBay is getting bad people lie to much now.
Couldn't the plastics of the nintendo be salvageable?
I think the Swich Lite can be fixed in seen worse
how the heck can you get a switch water damaged people are way too reckless with sensitive electronics
Hi bad luck on those items, as for sound i always use headphones and today was muffled, not clear like usual.
cannot trust spares repair/ untested on ebay just means for the bin nowadays
He didn’t open it… nope someone else did though 😂😂😂😂
Audio sounds good man. Sorry about the shady sellers
you are really suffering today Joey. sorry for the bad streak
For that unfixable Nintendo Switch Lite, I'd be opening a case for "item not as described" and getting a full refund, as there's literally nothing that is salvageable. That Switch Lite is too far gone to be of any use to anyone.
There's a reason ebay give refunds and that's they know most sellers are on the rob
do you ever ask for your money back from miss sold listings?
Seems like he's about to cry this time. Hope he's alright.
I very rarely buy anything on eBay anymore because you just can’t trust folk to be honest with the descriptions. Let us know how you get on when you reach out to the sellers Joey, be interesting to see what excuse they come up with! Mic sounded good to me also!
☮️ Peace✌️
i all ways find eBay too have a good returns as if the person lies about what they are selling its likely you can return it. iv done this on stuff that has said no returns but as it turned far worse than the listing said ebay sided with me and i was able to return it.
@@Muddy.Teabagger No returns doesn't mean you are unable to return the item. It means that you are unable to return the item for reasons that fall under buyers remorse. Items not being as can be reasonably assumed from the listing would fall under item not as described which ebay always covers. Your return shipping for an item not as described case should be covered by the seller as well.
If that's through the board it's scrap
Give that water damaged Nintendo S a chance. who knows maybe is not that bad.
Which headphones are those? The mic is amazing :)
Audio much better😊
Great effort, bad audio.
l. Bought. a. TRIO. Faulty. EBay. Items. Can. We. Fix. Them. And. Make
i would ask for half my money back
Send those two bad items back. I hate these sellers who are just selling their trash and ripping people off.
Love your videos ❤
The sound is a bit weird.
following this playlist chronologically I have to say that the mic quality here is worse than before, the change to the headset mic may not be the right one
Interesting to know Xelo, thanks for the feedback :)
The audio seems decent, but not great.
I you can I recommend you try either a lav mic, like a DJI Mic or Rode Wireless Go 2 (both are wireless), or a shotgun mic, the best price to performance would be something like Rode Videomic Go 2.
Scummy ebay sellers for all the items
i think they piloted a submarine with that switch. holy shit who would open that and then yep gonna sell this.... i cannot believe this. also please don't use that microphone again.
WELL hold on a second!
First off: The Xbox Series X is pretty bad - and most likely a "parts" unit - but there is a rather - "interesting" way of trying to fix it - where you basically find a written off board and cut out a square and "simply" replace a part of the board. I've seen it done and work - though never with a MOSFET. It was a very skilled tech I saw do it, and basically he removed all the components, then used a set of what looked like different color nail polish, and then pre-cut color coated everything which needed to be connected in the area which ended out - what I'm guessing - being like 20 different colors. It was a lot.. So it might be a fun project - but don't count on it working 😀Still - it might!
The Switch however! 35£ is actually a bet I would take. See the way this most likely died was it being left in a wet place - SO - chances are most of the most expensive parts of the board actually works. At least you can play around with taking the main chips and reusing them - though it will take some re-balling or whatever the English word for that is. You know - the tiny solder balls. Also - the screen might actually be ok as well - and the shell looks pretty great - which is also like a 15-20$ part in that state... and I'm sure a lot of the other chips are good as well if you take the time to test them. Also the sticks might be good if you clean them properly... It's not really a bad buy at 35£ m8.
