BIGFOOT now your talking sense Damian i have video evidence on my lost valley video.There didn't seem to be a Sasquatch nearby , i've heard that like Frankenstein's monster they are attracted and soothed by music.The thing you have to worry about in the highlands is alien abduction..... i might do a video on it lol,great stuff Atb Eddie.
Scots Wildcamper lol.. apparently Bonnybridge is Scotland's UFO hotspot, lots of sightings and strange goings on up there, so the next time watch out for missing time (happens to all wild campers), strange lumps on the body (easily mistaken for midge bites) and a sore bum (often blamed on dodgey trail food), any one of these symptoms could mean you have been abducted by strange creatures, implanted with a small tracking device just under the skin and anally probed, Atb, Damian.
Awesome playing in the Forest recording studio. I was on Ebay with your vid playing underneath the Ebay screen and I seriously thought it was my playlist skipping from track to track as I was not paying attention. So when I clicked back on You tube I was amazed at the sound and skill of a bloke sitting in the forest. I have guitars also and as it happens...a field. Cool vid. Cheers

Your guitar music of that night before was soothing. I have discovered than animals do react to my guitar playing; especially at night. I had frogs in a nearby pond, seem to croak even louder as if in nirvana during my homemade music!
Great vid mate they get better every time. guitar playing was awesome mate as was the chat about the yeti. Think we all have a screw loose up hear in the northeast so dnt worry about it. Would love to get a camp sorted with you sometime over the winter mate but I usually go into the hills or on the coast speak soon pal and keep the vids coming .
Damian as you probably know mate I don't do vids I only ever apear on daveswildcamping or darren coombs vids. I never seam to have time to record anything but always get a few pics. Your kielder vid was actually the first wild camp vid I saw and inspired me along with dave to get out and do it. So yeah mate would love to meet up for a camp just name the time and place.

Wildsoul62 I wont camp there alone anymore, the place really does freak me out, when I camped there alone initially I wasn't switched on. Since then I've heard knocks and breaks happening at 3 am with no wind noise, I've had responses to my whoops and wood knocks and have found footprints, recorded unusual animal sounds and seen unusual tree structures. I still have an open mind and my research continues
Do you know that unti, as far as I remember In the mid seventies you could have a tiger or panther or such like in your house in the uk, but then they brought in a licence that was needed, and so many owners just let their big cats go free in the woods, so I'm pretty sure there are still some exotic ex pets roaming around the UK.
I think you are right, the cats escape or are let loose and would be able to take lambs and other animals. finding wool in the branches of a tree that woudn't have supported the weight of a cat is a puzzle to me
great video, and I'm open minded to possibilities, but the trees were probably storm damaged. the tipi type construction could have been a shelter, like you suggest. you've a great imagination. a natural story teller. Nice guitar playing man, always good playing an instrument outdoors. left handed I see. Apparently left handed people can be quite creative, artistic etc. . atb. jB
a good goto flash firestarter to keep in your kit at all times would be cotton balls with vaseline rubbed on them, you probably already know this by now but just incase:P works everytime first time
Really enjoying all your videos. I live not far away in Durham and have bivvied in some of the places you've been. Have you tried Bikepacking? Which is basically what you're already doing but with a mountain bike.
I've done a camp on the affectionately known bug out bike a few years ago, video is on my channel somewhere called something like the search for auxilliary unit underground base or similar. Its not a proper mountain bike but rather something I built up from parts recycled.
Have a look at some of my videos to see what I mean. I've been inspired to explore inland Northumberland more after watching your videos. Going to be doing it on my bike though so I can cover a bigger area. I'm still working my way through your videos. Enjoying them all.

Tim Baker You cant go wrong starting out with ex military gear bought off that popular auction site we all love. Its bomb proof, tried and tested and wont break the bank if you decide its not the right gear for you. Army Basha's, Goretex bivy bags, packs and other stuff is cheap as chips, although some minimalists will argue that the gear is heavy and It is compared to some lighter, higher end gear which costs many times as much. I bought ex army first then slowly over time replaced items which were more compact and lightweight as thats the way I wanted to go, hope that helps, Damian
These are signs of the wild man of Ashy Valley , this guy has been travelling uk woods now for at least 20 yrs that i know of ,only met the guy once , and i'm sure he has sneeked in my camp on a few occasions ,all he seems to nick is .......... BOG ROLL!

Wildsoul62 I wont camp there alone anymore, the place really does freak me out, when I camped there alone initially I wasn't switched on. Since then I've heard knocks and breaks happening at 3 am with no wind noise, I've had responses to my whoops and wood knocks and have found footprints, recorded unusual animal sounds and seen unusual tree structures. I still have an open mind and my research continues
Do you know that unti, as far as I remember In the mid seventies you could have a tiger or panther or such like in your house in the uk, but then they brought in a licence that was needed, and so many owners just let their big cats go free in the woods, so I'm pretty sure there are still some exotic ex pets roaming around the UK.
I think you are right, the cats escape or are let loose and would be able to take lambs and other animals. finding wool in the branches of a tree that woudn't have supported the weight of a cat is a puzzle to me

great video, and I'm open minded to possibilities, but the trees were probably storm damaged. the tipi type construction could have been a shelter, like you suggest. you've a great imagination. a natural story teller. Nice guitar playing man, always good playing an instrument outdoors. left handed I see. Apparently left handed people can be quite creative, artistic etc. . atb. jB
The forestry commotion break down the saplings that are in the way of the bigger trees that need light and space to grow. All man made.

Really enjoying all your videos. I live not far away in Durham and have bivvied in some of the places you've been. Have you tried Bikepacking? Which is basically what you're already doing but with a mountain bike.
I've done a camp on the affectionately known bug out bike a few years ago, video is on my channel somewhere called something like the search for auxilliary unit underground base or similar. Its not a proper mountain bike but rather something I built up from parts recycled.

Tim Baker You cant go wrong starting out with ex military gear bought off that popular auction site we all love. Its bomb proof, tried and tested and wont break the bank if you decide its not the right gear for you. Army Basha's, Goretex bivy bags, packs and other stuff is cheap as chips, although some minimalists will argue that the gear is heavy and It is compared to some lighter, higher end gear which costs many times as much. I bought ex army first then slowly over time replaced items which were more compact and lightweight as thats the way I wanted to go, hope that helps, Damian
