  • Shelter construction and research at Harwood forest, Northumberland. Filmed over a period of several months.
    UPDATE, I now think the UFO trail camera pic is a motorhome or caravan parked up on side of the road. Thanks to subscriber Gord Slater for helping solve this puzzle. You can still download the image from the link below and see for yourself.

    I absolutely enjoy all of your wild camps! But the spruce forest and yeti camps are certainly the most entertaining ones, it shines brilliantly through your own skepticism about it. To watch you trying to make it make sense makes it in a thrilling way, sense to me, Damien! I don't know how to put it in any other (nor)way.

      I've always liked Harwood forest, its a different kind of camp. There are no beautiful views or sunsets, every tree looks the same and there are strange sounds during the night. Its hard to explain why I like the place but maybe its the search for answers or the feeling of not knowing what I'm going to find next which keeps me going back, thanks for your comment Steve.

But not going on my own next time like you said got freaked out. Feel like a bit of a Sh-t house 😂 watching you braving it on your own. Ps have you ever heard of Cannock Chase I’m off to do a bit of research there in a few weeks. Loads of spooky going’s on. Apparently loads of sightings of a large Dog Man (Werewolf) ???? Or maybe Just Doggers 😂👍 ATB pal take care.

    • @Fell_Wanderer
      @Fell_Wanderer  Před 3 lety +1

      I've heard a lot about Cannock Chase and Dogman sightings. I would camp there, we aren't going to find out whats going on without boots on the ground. If I lived close by I would be there now. Harwood is about 20 miles from me so thats my research area. I'm lucky to be only 30 minutes away and could walk home in a day if the SHTF and lost my car. I've seen joggers but not doggers, although I'm sure they are there lol

    This video was a winner from the opening shots , right up to the stunning pictures , just before the end . Anybody who has ever camped solo in a woods , and says they have never been spooked , I question . IMO there is a high likely hood that they speak with fork tongue , or may be a future serial killer . It has happened to me many times , to one degree or the other . And , I am always armed . ( read handgun ). Good job on the build , and the fieldcraft . Now , on the captured picture that you provided a link for . WTH is your deal ?! That is obviously a UFO that the local squatch use for interstellar travel . Hell , people in the US see em all the time !! And , oddly . They never get spooked in the woods either :D Hmm... Great video . Be safe out there brother . They are among us :D ... Gubs

      @Fell_Wanderer  Před 3 lety +2

      I used to shy away from the Bigfoot alien UFO connection but I'm open to all possibilities because I know UFO's and Bigfoot are real so there maybe a connection?. The amount of evidence regarding the existance of aliens is overwhelming and if one just looks at the Patterson film alone, the evidence points to Patty being a real bigfoot. Thanks for your comment Gubs.

      @@Fell_Wanderer Sweet , we agree .... on one thing . I 100 % believe we are not the only people or beings in this Universe . But , IMO . While compelling , the Patterson BG video has been analyzed from hell and back . And of course , those analyzations hit "both" sides . Fake & real . So on that video , I am unconvinced . But , I did see a video recently interviewing the guy who was with Patterson that day . And I will say . He is probably the most credible person I have seen / heard tell their story .Actually , for me . He pushed my " possibility " meter to like 80% for their existence . Thanks for the reply . Be safe out there brother .... Oh BTW . When travel opens up again I plan to visit the EU , with the UK being part . Any chance you can let us know where that spooky woods is ? I 'd like to check it out for myself . Later .. gubs P.S . I "think " that interview was done by Les Stroud in one of his Y.T video's about BF he reposted , JIC you'd like to watch it ..

    There's just something about that woods that looks spooky. It seems very old, a place where spirits would love to linger. Just makes sense to camp there. :-)

  • @gordslater
    @gordslater Před 2 lety +1

    I'm pretty sure the black "UFO" object is a passing caravan or motorhome, passing left to right in the shot.
    edit: that road is narrow and bumpy (if it's where I think it is) so a large vehicle would be moving slower than a car,. hence less motion blue than the faster red car.
    The bodywork is white and is overexposed, which is why it's not clearly visible, but the dark glass window is. The window has an unusual non-rectangular shape so could be a clue to identifying the exact model of vehicle. To the lower left of the white area you can see two rear light clusters, which appear as mainly red splodges.
    The link to the photo is bad, btw, but I think the video still is enough to see that it's a van, caravan or motorhome.

    • @Fell_Wanderer
      @Fell_Wanderer  Před 2 lety

      I will try and sort the link out. I think it could be a passing vehicle of some sort but its high off the ground and would only be the rear end of it showing, possibly a tailgate?

      @@Fell_Wanderer thanks for the new pic link. The full pic gives some clues - even the temperature is a clue that this is a summer pic.
      OK, here's what I see from a photography perspective:
      The camera is mainly aimed at trees, relatively dark in colour and in the shade.
      It;s a sunny day, I can see bright sun in between the trees.
      I see sky, bertween the trees at the left side, but it's pure white and completely washed out with no detail.
      The camera, which probably only has auto-exposure, has adapted to the mainly dark shaded side of the trees. It therefore can;t cope with bright parts of the scene like the sky, which was probably blue, given that it's sunny. The side of a caravan is also white and bright, even the shaded side, compared to the shaded side of the trees, so, like the (probably) blue sky, has just recorded as pure white "off the scale" with no detail. Against the overexposed sky, this makes the caravan/motorhome/van appear to be the same as the sky, so you can;t make out the edge of it at all.
      The dark tinted window does record OK though, which is what the black shape is (I think, anways).
      Any white or very light vehicle bodywork (like beige or cream) would appear as white due to the autoexposure causing over-exposure.
      It;s 20C, so probably summer, making a caravan or motorhome more likely than the depths of winter. It's sunny too and I don't see tons of clarts on the ground haha,
      The effect could be made worse by the fact that the trail cam would have no infra-red filter on the lens, to enable it to have "night vision" with active IR illumination. This gives a ghostly-like fringing to brightly-lit objects - search for infra-red digital photography to see what I mean. The daylight photos take on a surreal spooky look with unclear edges to objects. Yes, it;s daytime, but the IR fringe effect still happens as the lens has no IR filter, unlike a camera lens designed for daylight.
      I haven;t found a caravan or motorhome with an exact match, but heres a roughly similar pic - you can see it's a high vehicle, with a similar shape dark window.
      www.e-c-f.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Caravaning-info_Reisemobile_Teilintegriert_image01.jpg
      Motorhomes can be bloody tall - some are 12 foot +high. I think a caravan is a bit less likely, because a big/long one would be a handful on that bumpy road and probably ground out on the dips.

    • @Fell_Wanderer
      @Fell_Wanderer  Před 2 lety

      You know something, since you mentioned motorhome and I've looked again at the pic. What you said makes sense and I can now see a motorhome outline which looks white but over exposed around the dark window area. The red streak looks like vehicle lights. Motorhomes are tall which explains why the black window look like its above ground and surrounded by sky. I couldn't understand why the white area around the window looked slightly different to the sky which makes sense if its a white vehicle with blown out highlights making it look like the already over exposed sky. I know there is a layby close by and the trail camera has captured other vehicles so makes sense its a motorhome or caravan parked up. Pictures were taken during warmer months and location is the gibbet road to Elsdon and I know sometimes vans park there overnight. I should have realised earlier the UFO had terrestrial origins but couldn't see the obvious in the picture. I've updated the information in the video description to explain the picture isn't a UFO and is probably a motorhome or caravan. Great work, I think you've solved it, thank you.

    Another excellent video from the Forest of Doom...I really enjoy your exploits at this mysterious location Fell Wanderer please keep them coming....Do you think the fallen trees were really some form of warning signs aimed specifically at you or jus coincidental?...

    • @Fell_Wanderer
      @Fell_Wanderer  Před 3 lety +1

      I try to keep an open mind and not jump to conclusions. When there is little wind that would affect the lower trees in the forest canopy and there were 2 breaks close to my camp and one had an old branch placed on a more recent break. I'm ruling out hoaxing because no one else knows the location, it really gets me wondering what natural source could have snapped the trees? I've seen some unusual breaks in the trees such as X and W shapes so it boggles the mind. There is an intelligent force in that location because of all thats happened and there is also the audio recordings. When I look at each individual piece of evidence you can perhaps dismiss as natural or coincidence but not everything happening in the same location

    News Flash, man found with his head up where the sun doesn't shine, in the forest. The Wildman, who lives in the woods said, "I'm sick of him. He keeps coming here, stinking it out with curry and fecking fish smells, nocking on fecking trees and waking my Mrs up, whooping his fecking heed off, so I ripped his off " lol.
