@thousandoaks.2080that’s too many levels to operate on at once. Good way to get a fusion asap.. I’d avoid the surgery if you can still walk and function mostly normal, of course you will be limited with things like exercise, but back surgery is serious. I had a L4,5 L5S1 laminectomy, the scar on my back is about 4 inches long, didn’t even fix my pain, just saved me from being crippled.

I also tried all your non- surgical recommendations first, as well as, helped me decide when to consider surgery. Thank you so much and continues God’s Blessings on your knowledge & expertise, and your generosity to share and educate people like me who has spinal medical conditions too.

Hey there, I do about 15 new patient telemedicines💻🌎 every week. Here is the best path forward: 1- email your insurance card to Spine@TSCspine.com (We don’t take HMOs or Medicaid, but can private pay, unless Medicaid) 2- if we take that insurance THEN upload your images to my portal for our 1st visit. 3- I must have X-rays and MRI, X-rays are critical! “Just” MRI isn’t enough. Need to be from last 12 months. Nothing older is needed, or wanted. 4- You need to get your CD 💿 of your X-ray and MRI (imaging centers will never send them to us) 5- On the top of my website (www.DonnallySpine.com) is the link to UPLOAD images, from YOUR HOME! 🤯🥰 (or at a CVS with Physician LookUp Code k5037438) 6- To recap: email us, get CDs, THEN upload! Total laminectomy for decompression of the spinal canal is a outdated procedure. Single-sided hemi- laminotomy to remove bilateral ligamentum flavum and spurs with preservation of spinal process and interspinous ligament yields better result because of least destruction of spine structures. Concur ?

So true. The pain can interfere with my focus. I sometimes get stuck on a term I’m not familiar with and I’m too embarrassed to ask the md to dumb it down a bit.
I had that done in 2018. It was a game changer for my mobility and quality of life at age 57.

Thanks for sharing and to the neurosurgeon, your explanations are greatly appreciated.
But what about pain?
Had it done last year. All my symptoms were gone next day. I recommend it to anyone with severe symptoms.

But seriously when are we going to like try to 3D print human cells to be shaped as our herniated disc?
We should
We have to PROOVE that it’s safe and that it works.
Thats the problem.
It’s very complicated.
Give it 40 years or so.
I believe this could help me but I’ve been to so many of the best in my area and it seems the approach is SCS or pain pump now.
