I was shocked that City didn't go for him to replace Gundogan. Instead he went to direct rival like Liverpool and they have used him great. World Cup winner and key part of that Argentina team. Definitely signing of the season, especially when also considering the price tag and impact.

Before any Chelsea fans get upset, I definitely was expecting liverpool to get one of them and was disappointed when they didn't. I got to give it to palmer . Only because it took Endo actually balling and the introduction of conor Bradley to the team for him to flourish. If not he be playing as rhe 6 and he is better as an 8 and with Arnold there was too many gaps defensively thst McAllister had to cover. Game changer but palmer been pretty much the only thing keep him team from relegation battle. And you say he's scoring a lot of pens, still have to convert them with thousands of fans watching and at only what 20 years old , lights bright and he aint shy away.
To imply that him moving further up was a new tactical decision by Klopp is incredibly naive. Endo was bought to play on the role he is now playing, surprise surprise. It took him a little while to settle, understandably, and during that time McC was asked to play deep. Now Endo has hit form McC is playing here it was always intended he would play, and it’s been glorious

Mac and Endo have been amazing so far
Honestly, when I watch him play I think he would be insane in Pep's system. I don't know if City just didn't know about his release clause or they passed on him for Kovacic, but had they signed him they would be have more than 67 points and Liverpool would have a lot less than 70 points.
Think it's mostly because McAllister seems like a decent guy and he wants to win trophies legitimately rather than go to a club that cheats.

he’s played LCM more than RCM, all on form it’s endo dm, macca left and szoboszlai right but szobozslai hasn’t been great since returning from injury then curtis prefers playing LCM so macca goes to the right when curtis plays

So take the penalty goals away from both players and Palmer has 8 goals to Mac 3 goals and he’s got more assists than Mac and he’s created 4x more big chances than Mac and his shooting success and accuracy is nearly double the numbers of Mac and that’s in his first full season as a player in a team that’s been completely overhauled and has suffered from injuries. Compared to the Liverpool team that he’s playing for. The other thing that is really annoying about this transfer is the fee which is nothing to do with Liverpool seeing as he had a buyout clause in his contract with Brighton that any other team could’ve activated but he wanted to join Liverpool so it wouldn’t have been worth another team wasting time trying to sign him. But like usual it’s always the same old story that is what ever the topic it’s a Liverpool option is the best in the league which is funny seeing how many times they’ve been champions in the premier league set up.

I’d probably just give signing of the season to Palmer - and not just because of his penalties. The overwhelming majority of Chelsea’s attacks flow through him, and without him they’d be really struggling.
Mac Allister has still been brilliant though, what a signing for Liverpool.
