    Depending on how tall the fisherman is. I'm 5' 10". I use a 7 ft rod for everything except close quarters where I switch to a 6 ft rod. I have no trouble with my hook sets.

    Use any rod length as long as its not a 12ft surf rod. Fishing is all about enjoying yourself. Use what makes you feel good. Even the surf rod if you feel good wearing yourself out

    Dude I love the rod and reel colors that's sick. I haven't seen that before next time I make a purchase on a ride and real I'm looking for that kinda camo green color

    My all-time favorite casting rod is a 6'10" MH Fast Action -- I'm 6'2" and still don't like having to make repetitive casts with anything longer than 7'2". I'll flip with 7'6", but do everything else with shorter rods. Cool video, I felt compelled to comment because most won't consider anything shorter than 7'6".
