1. Taylor is awesome!
2. Your storytelling skills are awesome.
3. Bro is awesome.
4. I never imagined that a CZcams channel on septic tank service would be one of my favorite channels!
What can I do as an employer to have a brother like your brother and an employee like Taylor.
@@WilfredMelville I can help on the brother bit, just point your ma my way!
It’s the company computer and he has no rights of privacy. Glad he was not taken out, just fired…no negative energy needed for stupidity. This is my answer and can I adopt your brother, pretty please🤓. Peace🤙🏽
Same!
Same on all counts!!!
Things I have learned from this video: 1) that employee not only does not understand what company property is, but he couldn't read a room enough to know he was in mortal danger and also doesn't know how to resolve conflicts like an adult, so yeah, he needed to be fired, for so many reasons; 2) your brother is badass; and 3) Taylor deserves a raise.
Taylor. Taylor. Taylor gets a raise. Employee of the Month, that special brownie button reserved under Gold Star Status and Whatever else other bonus points or goodies y'all can think of.
Taylor saved the fools life
@davidhenderson3400 so the fool should be renumerating Taylor, not the company.
@@markbrown8097 ... Everyone should be.. fool, company, etc. - Taylor, Taylor, Taylor...
@@markbrown8097
I believe the word you want is "remunerating". Spellchecker likely screwed that up for you.
1. That story is hilarious
2. Your brother is simultaneously the most terrifying man I can think of if he can walk that quietly in logging boots, and the coolest dude ever
3. I love Taylor's response of "in this instance I took it"😂
We most definitely need more people like yourself, your brother, and Taylor. And Taylor 100% saved old boys life. I spent spent several years in the military....there's ZERO
expectations of privacy.
Your brother is an awesome human being. And, yes, please … more stories!
Shit I wanna see your brother now you have painted a Braveheart like picture of him!!
You do realize that their father was a master chief I believe.
Love the stories!
Next time you see your brother say, "Greetings Highlander!" 😂😂😂
I totally relate to the brother with regards to the value of human life versus animal life, except for maybe the chickens.
Nope, no expectation of privacy. Mad respect for Taylor. I'd love to hear stories from you and your brother.
Oooh his bro should colab on a separate account just for bail bonds stories
Here in Finland there are laws protecting employee privacy on workcomputers even after they leave a company. How crazy is that? Company needs to get a court order to look into a employee computer and even then there has to be substansial proof that there is business critical information on there or it has been used in a serious violation.
@@SquirrelsTree I would love to hear the stories. However, I don't know if they are still in the bail bond business or not.
Your brother might not like people, but he sure as hell loves his brother! And quite protective of you!
Taylor sounds like the guy who is secretly a sage beyond his years, for his wisdom saved that Ex-Employee from getting heavily injured from his stupidity
And don't let anyone fool you, your stories are quite amazing! Your videos make me laugh and brighten my day!
Bye Felicia! Being a dispatcher and treating the owner of the company in this manner, one can only imagine how he treated the people that he was in control of while dispatching! The depths of stupidity are mind-boggling these days! Thank you for the great content and keep up the good work! Prayers and blessings
You need an IT guy to do a forensic audit on that laptop. And yes, more stories about your terrifying brother please.
Agreed you need somebody that knows what they’re doing to look at that laptop
Hidden files and encryption, crypto mining etc ?
Easy to hide files. Encrypt data. Trash browser history(usually leaves cookies)
I wouldn't be surprised if his brother is the IT guy and already did the forensic audit.
Strange behaviour. I reckon he was hiding something. Did you look for a virtual drive? Either that or he was just unstable and couldn't handle the job.
i'd love to hear more stories of you and your brother. maybe you could even get him to sit down and tell some with you.

For 20+ years my job was on notebook computers. On the road 25% of the time, it was my life blood. But I never considered it my personal space. It was my tool, but it was company property.
I worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service. I had absolutely no expectation of privacy on the computer I used. Moreover, there is a unit which regularly scans the computers for non-workrelated content.
Taylor used his initiative, saw a need and filled it. Bravo.
Thank you for your intelligent and entertaining programming. I bought one of your shirts.
Taylor: You can't shoot employees.
Brother: You just fired him...he's no longer an employee.
Lol, good point
That's exactly what I thought he was going to say...it's what I would have said.
That’s the loophole he was looking for. ;-)
You certainly have a way with telling stories that keeps me captivated throughout the entire story. Keep them coming!
Yes , there is no expectation of privacy in an office using the company computers. Taylor overstepped his authority but did what most bosses would have done. Your videos are fantastic.
Saved the kids life that day 😂
Taylor probably saw the moment he could end it and prevent pride from escalating the situation any further. So he did.
No expectation of privacy on company computers, phones etc. Company always makes that clear! Yes, please more stories of you and your brother doing anything!
No workie workie! I gotta use that. BTW, I agree with your brother. Animals are great. People are vile. As to the question, there is NO expectation of privacy on a work computer.
I'm one of the people that has a doormat that says "animals welcome, people tolerated" 😂
Hey now, people are animals too 😄
@@foxw875 I have one, too. And I run a dog sanctuary. I currently have a baby ‘possum in my kitchen waiting to go to a wildlife rehabber. I relocated a snake out of my barn last night so the dogs wouldn’t hurt it. Fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, and the carpenter bees chewing up my barn are the only creatures that come to harm around here.
@@aditsu The most vile kind.
Funny stuff about computers, tablets and cell phones with nanny software. We had a few guys at work who were questioned about being on the internet all day so one of the middle managers looked at production and noticed these guys got more done in a day than most. Turns out they were taking advantage of the unlimited data plan to stream music while they worked... and it helped them in their task! BTW, the boss wanted to know why they didn't just use a radio. The simple answer was the lack of stations (in our area) that played Mexican music.
One of my previous employers confronted me about being logged onto a pc my entire shift. I was confused for a moment because I was thinking "You can tell by how clean my area is that I am not on the computer all shift" and then remembered that I came in and logged onto the computer and then logged onto an online game I was playing and put my character into training while I worked. They did not like that I was doing that.
@@laggybum3218 IMO, listening to muusic is one thing, playing a game is entirely different. Playing a game takes you away from performing work.
@@johnhouchins3156 Putting a character into training does not, assuming it means what I think it means. There are totally ways to AFK certain games in order to raise stats without having to be present (such as while doing work).
i understand music helps production but it is not safe in a lot of situations to be ignoring everything else while working as such i do not let people working for me wear both ear buds its one or none this way you can still hear someone yell to get out the way or duck or help so yeah my point is i pay you to work safely not relax so put your crap in the truck ..... also if i yell to/or at someone and they do not hear me cause they have both in i will grab one and chuck it into the lake .... and yes i replace them, on payday and they normally do not take the chance again lol and no its not theft or destruction of private property it is in the paper that they signed when hired that i will dispose of the "extra" earbud at my own discretion and that they should have no personal property other than required things ie medicine, drinks lunch box ect while on a job site focus on the job not your baby momma if they have an emergency they can call the office and someone will get you lol
@@simonehudspeth861...MORE THAN FAIR...
1. Awesome Job Taylor for firing him LOL
2. Your brother is great and right about the knife.
3. Have a professional look at that laptop, I bet there are hidden files.
4. Great story, you are a great storyteller, I always enjoy them.
5. If it is owned by the company you have no expectations of privacy.
6. Yes all the bail bondsman stories, please.
No expectation of privacy at all. Work is work, period. Thank you for your content. There is so much business and life advice you present that I relate to or can learn from. Being a safety professional in the commercial roofing industry, I deal with situations similar to yours. Hearing how you handle your situations helps reinforce my approach and gives me things to think about that may come into play down the line. I would also like more stories about you and your brother, septic, bail bonds, whatever. No matter what the two of you get in to, I am sure the stories are interesting, insightful, and most of all, entertaining.
Love your content and keep up the good work.
I've spent my entire career in IT and have helped write/review many policies and procedures for several companies. James you are 100% correct in this, there is absolutely no expectation of privacy when using any company resource (notebook, phone or computer). I've been involved in many IT forensic investigations and I have seen many people lose their jobs due to the content on the company device that they used.
Yeah, as a global IT consultant, I can say that's the way in almost every country. Even BYOD has policies explicitly saying about privacy.
I see your points, and agree that the pc is 100% company property with no expectation of privacy, but an HR perspective may disagree. When employees leave corporate jobs, special access has to be requested from HR to access the email
I'm not sure under what legal framework you work but i can guarantee that at the very least this wouldnt fly in the nordics. There is a whole lot of things on work devices that still are privileged and neither the property nor under the perview of the company that owns the machine. Whether the companies respect the law is a separate thing but communications to your union representatives or similar institutions are thoroughly protected.
Why anyone has any expectation of privacy on any computer seems unreasonable to me, much less someone else’s computer
Maybe we should all just start trying to be excellent to each other
As the creator of the internet, that is true.
There is 100% no expectation of privacy and that has been made clear at the start of every job I have ever had. I love the crazy stories and would love to hear more. From bail bonds to Karen septic customers to cleaning out the dirty inside of the trucks, I have enjoyed you videos. Thank you.
Loved this story!
Awesome brother!!!! Always great to have someone at your back.
Odd take away, your brother and Taylor probably kept the bad employee out of jail. Sounds like he was one step away from actually assaulting you.
Hopefully, he will see this as a learning opportunity and take some anger management classes.
You own the company, you own the tools and hardware.
I work in the IT industry. Anything put on an company owned device is subject to audits. In some cases, if you sign into a personal account, Gmail for example, on those devices, the company can audit those as well.
You still might want do a deep dive for any hidden internet browsing just incase, as well as completely wipe the laptop.
And your brother sounds amazing!
I retired after40 odd (some of them were VERY odd) years in the computer industry My advice is that nothing on any device is private. Hell,my mother warned me long ago to never put anything on paper I didn't want published. My experience is that goes double for electronic media.
@@katecollins5937It always amazes me how on True Crime channels so many of the criminals keep a journal or diary. Like, are you a 12 year old girl, or what?
Ah, I did mention that I had retired after40 years in the IT industry. The longer I live, the less surprises me.
@@wmluna381 I hate this phrase, because it's total BS 99.9% of the time....but I've never seen anything that so keenly describes toxic masculinity. Look, I don't keep a diary/journal, but it is a highly respected and scientifically proven method of dealing with mental health issues. Grow up, do better.
Heads up to any IT guys or business owners: Accessing an employee's personal online accounts (Gmail, Facebook, etc) is most likely illegal - even if it's on a company computer.
You can, generally, monitor the company computer usage and check any files on the hard drive, but accessing any sites that the employee has left logged in crosses the line. A good analogy would be taking the employee's car keys and searching their car without their knowledge or consent.
Work is work. Personal, equipment etc. It's obvious you folks all have each other's back, Kudos to you. And I'd love to hear some more stories. Thanks James
PLEASE more stories of you and your brother doing crazy stuff! I love it!
I really enjoy your stories. No matter if they are about your plumbing business or your bail bondsmen business! Keep ‘em coming!! ❤
Edit: Yes, Taylor deserves a bonus/raise for that bit of assertion. 🤘
Our company training, and work culture in general, is: Everything you do should be handled as if the customer you are serving is right there with you. Texts on your company issued phone, emails, VERBAL CONVERSATION, et al. Everything should be done as if there is a customer making a video to post online. If you are completely transparent, then you have nothing to hide.
"Oh. He's being an asshole. Huh." Awesome.
And while Taylor was right about not shooting employees, at that point, the dispatcher was no longer an employee. ;)
And absolutely yes to the bail bonds stories.
I worked in IT for a while when I was younger and dumber, and more than occasionally had personal stuff on work machines. But I never thought of them as my machines. It was always very clear to me that they belonged to the company.
Technically he was still employed as no-one with the actual authority to fire him had at that point. One can assume that that employee has received his final paycheck, so has properly been dismissed from the company.
Taylor probably saved his life nonetheless.
Love your videos bro and yeah keep making videos of all the crazy story’s you and your brother went through
I absolutely LOVE your stories! More please!
Your brother seems to be a person who i would truly respect, appreciate and avoid. I would love to hear more stories about the two of you working together.

Sounds like Taylor has your back even when you don't realize you need it covered and you need to keep him around.
Yep. You never realize how valuable that is until you find out you have the totally opposite type of family. The type that will do everything in their power to try and destroy you because you refuse to let them control you.
Would love to see your brother in a video :D But yeah! Would also love to hear more stories because you're very good at telling them!

Absolutely no privacy expectations on a company computer! Love your stories, crazy stuff!
I agree with you - it is a business computer - I always had the rule - keep it to business. Had a manager that was fired - He had no clue they could do a search history and found porn sights and downloads. CANNOT FIX Stupid. And YES - more stories on adventures with your brother.

You guys dodged a bullet getting rid of someone who would have lost it eventually on something. In a way it’s good that it happened the way it did and it didn’t affect a customer or the company reputation.
People like that are a cancer to the company culture. If he had nothing to hide then he was just a bomb waiting to go off.
I have a laptop from work, and I expect to have no privacy on it, as it is strictly owned by the company. The most personal things I have are a few bash scripts (I'm a programmer) that I use to automate boring tasks lol
Also, now you made me curious, can you do a video with your brother? He sounds like someone I can relate to 😂

I'm an IT guy. I've talked to my ITSec co-workers.... it's amazing what people do on work PCs according to them. You should absolutely not expect privacy... especially at a large organization with an IT department. Depending on how the network is set up they can possibly see EVERYTHING you do.
Yes, indeed your Brothers IS THAT GUY. The man spoke softly but his words where definitely felt heavier, he had your back even though he hadn't even let his presence known in the room..and just that him being there sent a message....and love it. You have an excellent brother.
I rarely have interest in what he’s saying but love his storytelling ability so I love listening to him.
1) I never expected privacy etc on work devices. Granted, most of the time, I provided my own or they were virtual machines, so you rarely got the same one twice and they got re imaged regularly.
2) I would definitely enjoy more stories about your brother and you.
Mr. Butler, we appreciate your stories - especially because they often have a worthwhile point; however, even if there's no particular point you tell them in such an entertaining way. Yes please, more stories of any topic you like.

Retired now, but worked in IT as a programmer analyst. Never believed my work computer was mine. Never had any expectation of privacy regarding its contents. Would not have been completely comfortable with anyone else firing it up, for fear of them screwing something up, but would not have thrown a fit over it. Luckily, having the mouse to the left of the keyboard was enough to deter most such activity.
More stories about you guys doing crazy stuff please!
And yeah, no expectation of privacy on work devices. I am also pretty confident my employer isn't going to go looking as long as I don't give them a reason to do so.

I love your stories. They are always a highlight in my day. Thanks!
*Also, the fired guy is lucky he is still breathing.*
*And, no. There should not be an expectation of privacy when on company property using company equipment. If people feel that way, then they should start their own companies and discover how life really works.
Taylor's response to employee question is funny😂
Strictly business. Great story, great brother.
I would love to hear those stories with your brother. As an adult, I have no expectation of privacy when using work computers. It’s also made very clear during my orientation and I may even sign paperwork regarding it. But, I’m a nurse and work with patients and have privacy and HIPAA regulations to deal with, too.
My wife works for a major corporation, remote, on company equipment. The folks that work under her have no concept of how to respect the work equipment (laptops, thinclients, screens, etc)
That being said, there is absolutely no sort of expectations of privacy on company equipment.
Sounds like you all (except for the dispatcher) handled the situation correctly. Any time I see someone getting overly emotional about stuff that shouldn't be emotional...it's a red flag. Love your channel and content. It's not just about septic systems...it's more a real world look at life and the interaction between humans. Keep up the good work.
