This was my most played cassette ( Pillows and Prayers ) as a student, until some Twxx stole my cassette player with the cassettes. I still have the album at least.
Pillows and Prayers is a priceless collection of songs. The best compilation record ever.
I actually had a picture disc of it with the album cover shot on it of the little girl with the pipe

This is filmed on Barnes railway bridge in south west London, next to Barnes Bridge station, not far from where Ben grew up. It hasn't changed much in 34 years. I wonder if that graffiti is still on the wall?. I recommend the Coach & Horses pub in Barnes if your visiting the area.

EBTG were great live,saw them perform at Brixton Academy January 85 for a miners benefit .Aztec Camera and Orange Juice were also on the bill,top night.Coal not Dole!
I was there that night too. I believe the Woodentops were also on the bill and I think it was the last ever performance by Orange Juice. Good times.

You're absolutely right, it was Pillows and Prayers. I also had a copy, £1 from Woolworths. Loads of great stuff on there z including Quentin Crisp.
