The Mother 32 and the DFAM are actually the last modules I have added to my already extensive rig - and I've never been a fan of Moog for stupid reasons that make no sense at all. And I have to admit it completely blew me away combined with a RocketScience (not) TUESDAY (sequence, gates), brains/pressurepoints (variety) and good old Clouds (sound beds and reverb). Mindblowingly beautiful and so much fun when combined with other modules. They make any rig shine. DFAM is a genius module that goes beyond it's own case when you reroute the individual VCO outputs. It may be hard to believe these guys because they sound over the top, but they are right on all points and the enthusiasm is absolutely genuine.

2 DFams are better than 1; I have 2 and the O-Coast which is hooked up to the SQ1. I setup the basic drum patch on both then start the second DFAM on a different step and get some great syncopated rhythms...

‘Envelope Generators to change the pitch at the same time’ - this is something I discovered on my Roland System-1m, and indeed this is something that makes that synth shine. I’ve been plugging my Mother 32 back and forth with the System-1m. So this DFAM has a whopping 3 EGs?! That’s two more than the M-32, albeit 2 or 3 stage EGs. I couldn’t stand the little tiny keyboard layout of the M32, this DFAM’s sequencer is offering a whole lot more for this form factor. Somebody us selling this DFAM, I’ve known of it and heard it, but I wasn’t even thinking about it this morning, now I’m hoping that Rudolph comes whizzing like a shooting star and brings Santa down along with my DFAM right with him right now any minute! My mother is lonely, Santa!

VinceVega303 you should be able to learn easily enough from the manual/videos online, this video is kind of hard to understand as a tutorial so it might seem a lot more complicated than it really is, I learned on an arturia micro brute just from messing around and it all makes sense eventually :)

I'm attempting an effects insert based on Olives, or Dijon, but it's still early days.

This is techno music. Deep bass and fast rhythms excited people and triggered the instinctive response to dance since humans first figured out how to make drums, thousands of years ago.
Like, for example, African drumming music, it's repetitive but contains minor tweaks and also sudden changes of tempo, new rhythms, etc. This particular video didn't have swing, but it did have accents and breaks, and generally speaking, this kind of music progresses over time.
