- My 3rd attempt at Creag Mhor. Weather was looking favourable this time so i headed off to
tackle it from the Loch Lyon side. A fine day out and decided to come back over Meall Tionail

Hi Frank. Lots going on in this one but I enjoyed every minute of it. Can't beat Runrig - recovery being played over amazing footage of the hills. Glad you got your drone back. It's a horrible feeling when they get lost. ATB David 👍

Cheers Paul, I’ve obviously not done them from WH approach but I would defo recommend this way for anyone that’s not done them yet.
It’s a lovely area Glen Lyon and just a pity it clagged at summit.
Was so glad to find the drone undamaged and was prob lucky it crashed bum 1st🤣👍

Cheers Ally, yeh it’s a far better way I think to tackle these 2. A lovely cycle and your pretty close to the mountains after you ditch the bike.

Excellent Frank,glad u went back in the Glen Lyon way.Deffo think it is more of an interesting way rather than the Walkhighlands route.Loved that shady footbridge at the end.Waterfalls and bridges are my thing,lol.🤣👍

@@hikingwithfrank315 aye I've heard it's a tough one with Cairn Toul and the devil's point, at least if and only if I get a view I'll get a decent view of the Lairig Ghru when I'm up there
@@TheMarco99 I hope you get the views as we saw heehaw🤣 was meant to be a 90% cloud free munro day, but we didn’t get the views at any. We did it in a oner, 16hrs and 42km. A long long day.🤣

Hi Collette, I’m glad you found the channel. It was lovely meeting you both as well and yes that was a journey and a half back.
Myself and Brian spent the last 3.5hrs in the pitch black and took forever to get back. And yes those winds were absolutely ferocious after the Gap. We got back to the car at 11.30pm and just decided to drive home. Got home at 3am.🤣👍
What time did you get back to car then home.?

Hi frank! That’s great to hear u made it back ok but agreed it most definitely was a challenge! You couldn’t really get a stride on after the first part 3 miles of the walk back then yes we were the same in the pitch black from half seven so just makes everything more challenging 🤦🏼♀️😂 we kept losing the path aswell so it was most definitely an adventure 😮💨😂 thank god it didn’t rain from 6pm as was forecast as that would have tipped me over the edge I think lol! We got back to the car at 10.30 and did the same drive home and got back at 3am aswell!! A big day for all of us!!! 😴
A great walk though, would like to do again at some point but maybe in summer 😂

@@ColletteMeins-ik6cr hi Collette, yeh we kept losing the path as well especially after going over some of the boulder fields which btw were treacherous 🤣
I also managed to lose my gps somewhere along the way in the pitch black.😡
Yeh if I was to do it again I would defo do it over 2days.
But we all lived to tell the tale🤣👍

Lovely shots of the misty glen in the morning there Frank, and a nice bike and hike. Good stuff finding the drone. Shame it's the same colour as the rocks, would big shiny coloured stickers on it make it easier to find, or is the tracker good enough?
Hi Andy, yeh it was such a beautiful sight as I drove towards loch Lyon with the sun breaking thru the early morning mist.
I enjoyed the cycle in and didn’t take too long getting to the munro. Think I’ll defo put some hi viz stickers on it as it would defo make it easier to spot.
The find my drone is really good but you need a signal on your phone 1st which is why I didn’t spend too long intially searching for it, as I knew I’d prob get a signal at the summit.
Paul was the same when he crashed his drone in Glen Shiel.
He got a signal on his phone at summit then found it no bother on the way down.

Great video Frank, it worked really well with a music soundtrack and throw in some wind and water noise, might be the.way to go? How long did it take to find your drone on the way back down?ATB Andy
Cheers Andy, yeh I’ve done a couple vids without talking and I quite like them, will defo do some more in future.
When I got to the summit I got a good signal on my phone and the find my drone from that point took me right to it.
So from summit about 15mins to finding drone.
