Your reviews of arcade sticks are by far my favourite videos you make, thank you!
There must be some hidden meaning behind him wearing his shirt wrong side out >:[

Economically sound, and getting the most out of his clothing? Times are hard
It's a 90s thing.
Hiding a logo maybe?
I really loved A-sticks and after 12 year I could finally buy one (the hori alpha). Some people used to suggest the Hitbox but my little finger and my annular close each other as soon as one of the two is pulled down so I couldn't do motions very well. I discovered you very recently but your sticks reviews really helped me making my choice and even realize if I would have been better with something like a fight pad or an arcade stick, not to mention giving me a clear view on the world of sticks.
And how does it feel to play the stick after all this time?
I have the Hori Rap N Hayabusa for Ps4 but I have only used it on my PC, I love it 😄. I had to test different ways to hold the stick but i now think I got more used to it.
I have the Hori RAP4 Noir which I absolutely love. It works on the PS5 also. I changed the buttons to Sanwa because I thought the Hayabusa were too sensitive (double imputs). I like that you can change the artwork for that, the easy access inside the case and the different profiles.
hori 4 dont work on ps5
@@thagamersdivision72i think on Ps4 based games it does work
Getting this stick in the mail tomorrow.
This was a really great review to let me know how the profiles work.
Very cool. Thank you!
How is it? I’m thinking about getting one
I'm actually super excited to get this stick a very close friend of mine is gifting me this for Christmas!
That’s a dope ass friend!!!
@@AT_PokemonTCG89 they are :)
Update on it? How is it?
@@corvoyami3192 i love it but I really want to modify it a bit. Needs a bat top in my opinion
@@corvoyami3192 I would recommend it. What are you looking for in a fight stick?
I think this is the perfect stick for me I've recently been looking to get one yt recommendations r goated💪
You've always been my favorite person when it comes to fight stick reviews. I hope you decide to do one with the Nacon Daija sometime!
I started with a leverless, but after going to a nearby arcade with friends near my house and getting smoked on Alpha 2 because I didn't know how to play with the traditional setup I bought one of these to practice.
I now basically just play on this, it isn't as "good" as a leverless but it just feels more fun and I suck anyway.
I like that way of putting it. I’m ass either way so might as well feel cool
great review! almost bought the victrix but was like mayyyybe i should check this out, saved me some dough!
🕹️🦊 I always love your content brother! Keep up the amazing work! 💪🏻🦊
awesome review ! was thinking of buying this one? , gonna eye one from razer next . im currently playing with T.E.2 SF5 Ryu cover
How is the latency on this stick VS the fighting edge? Both are Hori and this one is newer. Wondering if this one feels more responsive or about the same
Dude hori and their noir layout, on goddd
Great review. Meesa will be getting the HORI SF6 fight stick soon. 😊
THX again!
No problem!
Great review, Please do a review on the Naicon Daija Arcade stick.
I know the cable isn't detachable, but is it easy to replace if it ever breaks? Do they sell replacements?
Hey man, love your reviews. I am thinking of getting this stick but, I need to see if it works with a brook converter. Wingman xb2 for xbox, it's not on the list of controllers on their website. But I do have a stick that is notnon the list either and it works.
Hi I use a hori fight stick 3 for ultra street fighter 4. The FS 3 has 3 turbo levels for buttons. Does this stick have turbo button or is it naturally built in to the stick? Thanks
So the Hori software seems kind of similar to what the crossup does but without the extra 4 buttons. Pretty neat.
how do i install this software? I want to use this arcade setup to play on my ps4!
Im definitely getting this for tekken 8
I wonder what the latency on this controller is compared to something like a brook fighting board
Which arcade sticks are out yet for the PS5 which works with PS5 Games? Im looking for a Budget one..
What backpack would you recommend using for carrying this around? great video as usual !
Can the stick be used as an analog? For arcade style games. Kinda like the crossup hitbox but that doesn’t work for ps5 so looking for a replacement
cool vid...is the lever on this stick square gate or octagonal ?
Thanks for the video review. I'm looking at purchasing this stick but i'm not sure if i want to change the buttons and joystick over to Sanwa or Senmitsu. Do you have any guides on how to replace Hayabusa joystick with a Seimitsu Joystick?
Never had a seimitsu lever but would love to try one some time
The Seimitsu joystick LS-32 could installed in this stick. But the NOBI silence couldn’t. Because the height inside the stick is too short.... unless you make a hold on the bottom plate like me 😅
The button could be changed with Sanwa and gamer finger
I want that...while waiting ps5 😮😮😮
jena blindata
good review....
but you didn't remove a doubt from me:
this controller i could use it to play (AL PC)
with quake\serious sam and similar?
I mean, I could move the character with the stick,
and at the same time manage viewfinder \ weapon change and shooting with the MOUSE?
Thank you
Does the fighting stick alpha have any way of changing the stick from Dpad - Left Stick - Right Stick ? Can't find a definitive yes / no anywhere online
Will you be making a video on how to change parts?
He really sniffed the paper that extracts the fumes from manufacturing.
i didn't know what that paper was for and that makes this so funny lmao
Can you remap the buttons to act like a directional input for ps5 like you can on PC? I can't find the app for ANYTHING
I need it for each system.
Nice vid! Does it come with an octagonal gate as well or just the 4way gate?
Also, does it happen too work on Switch?
I currently have a Mayflash 300. The main selling point on that for me was the price and the fact that it’s compatible with the ps4 and Switch.
I have the Hori Hayabusa RAP for the Switch and love it but I just picked up a PS5. Is there any way to make it compatible?
Hi what could you recommend from arcade stick for the xbox series x.Would like to buy one
I can totally see where you're coming from where you were talking about how having your own machinery turns the thing into a whole different kind of experience. If I had infinite time, I could see myself getting into fighting games in this way, but what bums me out is I don't have infinite time, and I like to dip my toes in a lot of different type of games so getting good at fighting games is never an option.
There was a time when I would look forward to fighting games. I would play them, and enjoy my time with them to a point, but ever since the focus became so much more on the competitive aspects and tournaments, I have felt left out. Like completely left out, and have to leave the genre behind, because I can't get that good. Even when I thought I was just okay, and still enjoyed playing fighting games with a fight stick, but I can't afford to spend $200 on one! What feels like not long ago (even though I guess it kinda was) I was able to get really nice mad catz fight sticks for Street Fighter 4, and they were enough to get me to improve my skills, and reasonably priced at $60. It's just too darn expensive for the casual player now.
I’d like to make the argument that FightPads are a pretty affordable and good alternative. Sure its smaller overall compared to a huge stick but not much different depending on layout and in some ways things are made easier imo. Stick is fun though I could see why one would want to stick (heh) with that once they’re used to it.
Not everyone plays Tournament so get that outta here. If you wanted to play you would 🤷🏾♂️
heck some sf6 pro players uses pad on tournaments like punk and snakeeyes
arcade stick isn’t really required
the macro buttons program allows only one button set one side ?
Bought one of these in January 2023 and it worked well until this month (November 2023)
It starting turning on by itself if left plugged in and now while playing its starting to disconnect and reconnect randomly
I need to know: is this compatible with the PlayStation VitaTV? Because if so, I may have finally found the answer to my local multiplayer woes (yes, there are a few fighting games that have local multiplayer when used on a VitaTV).
Hey have u reviewed the Nacon Daija? I think you would like it!
🧙🏻♂ Maan, I wanna get a stick to play Diablo 2 Resurrected on PS5. I have a Madcatz TE Fightstick for Xbox 360--should I sell it to finance my next stick or get a USB adapter for it?
If I mod a detachable lever to it is there room inside to store one?
Can you use your arcade game stick. To play a first person shooter game like call of duty?
Hi, I got this Hori Alpha recently. I didn't know there's app and I can customize buttons. Can you explain to me step-by-step how to do it? Where I can download the app and how to start? Thanks.
Também quero saber muito sobre isso!!
Bought it last week
Can you set any of the buttons to turbo?
how do i install this software? I want to use this arcade setup to play on my ps4!
Well I got my Victrix yesterday,it’s purple n 2day I switched out my buttons(that was a mother)but my new 1’s work great by tha way tha buttons I got was Qanba Gravity, thanks 2 ur videos I will say ur videos put me on Victrix so thanks Gamer would send a pick but don’t know how lol
Best way to share your arcade stick is on the ng discord :)
@@NihongoGamer how 2 find u there,I’m a little lost lol
How can I get the dragon slayer arcade fight stick to work with ps5 fighting games
How to access the right stick or d-pad if playing Diablo 4?
Thanks for the nice reivew ..... How about this Fight stick vs an Old Matcatz TE2+ in good condition at the same price ?? Which one will be a better purchase if I am planning to mod the buttons and Lever ?
Which one did you get?
@@bekirsoyku6257 I got both and then fell in Love with the Old Razer Panthera. TE2+ cannot match the build quality of the old Panthera.
Whats your take on upgrading this stick? Like i know if i change th buttons to sanwa it will be ok since the height should not be an issue but what about the stick itself like for example changing to a golden lever perhaps? Does it have room in it for the stick install?
A bit late, but does anyone know if I can drop in a WASD controller to replace the joystick? for a mixbox style control. Thank you!
Is the TURBO FEATURE completely removed from new HORI Sticks? or Is it still possible to enable TURBO function via the custom profiles?
no turbo function on this one
Using this for tekken 8…did you just wave dash using L1 L2 by mapping them?
you can see at 1:00 that is not his first time opening a box. this is a technique you have to practise for years :D
does the lever in this stick allow for gate changes? i prefer octo and the sanwa lever in my current stick has had an octogate since i bought it almost 10 years ago.
Yes but it’s kinda hard to find an octagonal gate for this stick, it’s much easier to just swap it out for your Sanwa stick. I’ve looked around and you can find the gate but they’re all from China and most are just 3D printed so you’d have to wait a while to get one and the quality is gonna be hit or miss.
What is your opinion on the Hayabusa lever? I'm thinking on buying this stick but I have doubts about the lever it's supposed to have a slightly bigger response time...@ nihongo
I quite like the Hayabusa lever but many people are quite divided on Hayabusa vs Sanwa JLF
@NihongoGamer Thank you. Just one more question. Do you know if l can install a sanwa lever in this arcade stick? Is it compatible? Thanks again 😊
Can you do a video on the antagonist v2
hows the weight of this stick?
I have a hyabusa RAP4 i find it is quite heavy
What would you recommend, this Hori stick or qanba obsidian ?
Looking to buy a stick before sf6
Depends what’s more important to you. Alpha is easier to open for mods and maintenance but Obsidian is a bit more stable on the lap. I like the Hori Hayabusa lever but if u prefer Sanwa it’s cheaper to get the obsidian which includes it from the start.
Does anyone know how to get the custom profile manager on PS5?
stick of the year
No, the Nacon Daija 2 is much better, a real arcade premium stick, this one is a cheap piece of plastic
How is this stick for lap play? Due to its width, do you find you have to reach too far out?
It’s plenty wide enough for lap play. I’d prefer if it were a little heavier maybe, but that can be easily fixed with some weights.
@@NihongoGamer I have the Etokki Omni and I find it too heavy for lap play. This looks perfect for me
Where can we get stick art?
I know that probably nobody will answer me but I have a question: is this arcade stick the best option (or one of the best) to play fighting game on console? I'm looking for a solid starting point, customizable, comfortable and of good quality. I am a new player and would like some "guide buying" from someone who is more experienced than me. Thank you.
It’s good cause you can start with it and not need to mod it for a while compared to something cheaper like a mayflash that you can get for like 70$ but you’ll want to swap out parts for it to feel decent so you’ll spend an extra like 70$ which is still a decent starting point if your not 100% sure your gonna be into playing with a stick. I recommend you check out JoystickNY they have a few videos about entry level sticks that are still relevant if your not ready to spend over 200$ for something like this.
I can’t get the device manager for my PC
is the cable detachable?
what are some ps4/ps5/pc fight sticks that have a detachable cable?
Not detachable without modding
May I ask how do you print different things. I would like to get rhe Sf6 edition but do you just use regular paper? I don’t think so. What is the process
?
Can you make a video on that perhaps?
Can i use this on my PC ?
I’m scared of Project L. The tactile sensation of inputting perfect combos is so satisfying but they’re dumbing it down to appeal to a wider audience. CvS2 and Samurai Shodown 5 Special may be my favorite games forever and that’s a disturbing thought. Thank you for the review I really enjoy that you aren’t trying to click bait us. I don’t own a stick I play in actual arcades which is shocking I know… The advice on the pressure of the stick was very helpful. If you play on old arcade machines, sticks without pressure feel slippery. Had I not came here, that thought wouldn’t have crossed my mind. Thank you, awesome review
Project L is probably going to work better than you think because it’s a tag team fighter. Our hands are going to be plenty busy managing two characters at once.
@@NihongoGamer Project L feels like it is rewarding reaction time over time spent in the gym getting everything down. It’s a logical thing to do for a MOBA company because they’re interested in E-sports. Players have become so refined you can’t balance it without removing complexity. Same Bob poke player over and over… I feel like rock paper scissors character selection instead of having a main is how this is going to play out but I’ll give the game a chance. Appreciate the reply
Can 2 of this connect to 1 ps5 to play against someone??
in a month time the new version is coming out are there any difference from this 1?
What's the name of the new one?
I've been thinking about getting a fight stick. So I can give my ps5 gamepad a break. This one was on the short list.
Glad I found you channel. Awesome review, by the way.
same for my. i’m currently playing tekken 8 and the ps5 pad just doesn’t feel good so i’ve been thinking about getting this stick. did u get it?
The place where i'm gonna buy it says this works on ps4 too, is that true?
suitable for ps4 ps5 and pc
Does the mic port works on PC? The manual kind of implies it mightn't work. Is there any advantage for PC players in buying the Xbox version?
I’m looking for a fight stick that I can use on other games like tmnt etc. for ps5 I have many ps4 sticks they didn’t work so I bought a brook wingman. And it seems the work for ps5 fighting games but not others games. I keep trying/buying different sticks and keep having the same issues. Replaced pad with brook one and same issue. Any help? Thanks
The Brooks 'Wingman FGC' converter only works with PS5 fighting games. If you would like to use a stick on any other title, you'd need to buy an officially licensed stick (such as the one reviewed in this video)
@@iambryan0147 ok thanks for the reply
had you ever review the Hori vewlix?
Sadly I got into arcade sticks after it was discontinued. Really wish I had one though
I bought this stick today but when i tried to re-map the buttons it doesn't save at all also i can't update it
did you ever solve this problem? looking to buy one and hope I don't run into this
Would anyone be so kind as to tell me where to get an octagonal restrictor for this arcade stick?
I got mines from Focus Attack
I bought this stick and I'm surprised there's no turbo function. Might be a deal breaker since I own the rap 4 which has one
would you recommend HORI or Qanba joysticks in general? If I had 250 bucks to spare that is :)
hope there is a tekken 8 for this.
does it work on ps4
where did you get hori device manager SOFTWAR, i only found Xbox version, i need PS5 version
Ps5 version is a download from the HORI site I believe
2:57 is this the new cheatbox? lol
I wonder how this would feel with Mortal Kombat.
Ps3,4,5,pc ok?
So the victrix isn’t your favorite stick?
I swap back and forth a lot. I’m just currently using the fighting edge more because of the Hayabusa lever. Could just be that the Sanwa in my Victrix has got loose over time and needs tightening up.
Why don't modern arcade sticks have clamshell, easy-access, style anymore? That's what I liked about my Mad Cats TE2 stick. I currently have a Qanba Obsidian and love it, but I wish it had that clamshell feature too. There was a time when I was at EVO 2018 where I actually had to reconnect a cord to a button because it wasn't responding. Really useful feature.
It’s probably more expensive to make a clamshell and also more likely to break. If u seal the arcade stick with a “warranty void if removed” sticker then people are less likely to mod their stick and then try to get a replacement on warranty I guess.

Hori said Fighting Edge can play on PS5 games, which means it supports PS5 PS4 PC platforms. Then why Alpha needs a platform switch?
If you 'really' want your artwork displayed while you're carrying the fight stick by the handle, I suppose you could get a duplicate, or if you prefer, a different piece of art; and then you can stick it 'ALL OVER THE BOTTOM'... 😆
(problem solved!)
All over the bottom! Problem evaded more like
I hope this replaces the RAP4 Kai. It is my least favorite out of all Hori sticks. The Fighting Edge and RAPN are the direct successors to the RAP 1-3 and should be sold alongside the Alpha.
would be nice to be wireless
nice the playstation gets another awesome controller...meanwhile Switch owners still stuck at using either a universal Stick that gets rebranded 5 times (Madcatz EGO/ DragonSlay/ Gamesir C2/ Gorilla gaming/ Sparkfox) or using the Hori RAP V, that´s like half a decade old T.T more full sized Switch arcade sticks pls
I agree, though I can understand why switch has so few official options. There’s just not a big demand for them and many fighting games aren’t on switch. And even if they are they usually don’t have rollback
@@NihongoGamer sadly the switch infrastructure can´t handle Rollback....atleast the Mayflash Magic NS exists
I'd suggest the 8bitdo arcade stick it real nice if you wanna check it out if you haven't
@@SwuadeTV really cool design, but it is a bit small/ light for playing in your lap, but that NES Controller colour pallett is pretty cool tho, I think I´ll stick to my old dragonslay for now until the obsidian 2 drops, then I´ll try if it works with the Magic NS, but thanks for the advice
@@kitsunahri yeah design is nice size is cool I use it on my lap it's about a foot. Weight for me is alright too I believe it's like 5lbs and works for switch and Xbox/windows cuz it comes wit its own dongle, so not sure if it'll work wit the magic ns or if you'll need it. No problem btw
Daija Arcade Stick.
