Wow, im getting overwhelmed with ALL the ideas to soothe you....its stressing me out. Too many choices.
How come you are so nice and beautiful?😊
'Self soothing' ... If I EVER heard an adult say that they needed to do that, I would recommend psychiatric care. Whenever I see a liberal mention doing it, I want to ask what grade they're in and if their mommy knows they are using the computer. Sorry ... This is just 'My truth!' Too many liberals are easily offended by everything they disagree with, & need soothing ... But they feel they are qualified to tell others what to believe. 😂🤣😂🤣
Lots of people talk about the benefits of a walk in nature or their other favourite calming activities. It sounds like you don't like the phrase "self soothing". Relaxation is important. Our bodies work best when we switch between our parasympathetic nervous system, which is what activates when we relax, and our sympathetic nervous system, which activates when we are physically active or stressed. Have you ever had the feeling of relaxing, perhaps in a park or on a sunny day, and suddenly realising how enjoyable life can be when you have time where you are not actively seeking or avoiding anything? The act of setting up the conditions for those moments to occur is "self soothing" and unsurprisingly there are numerous studies on meditation, time in nature, etc that show that this active approach to seeking out relaxation is beneficial to our health.
@@angustp5285 Yes ... People need to relax, of course. Self-soothing sounds like something small children do. 😀
@@pegatheetoo1437tell us that when you lose a loved one or go through a traumatic experience
@@auntb4573 I am 74 years old ... Believe me, I've had my share. It's probably just the snowflake, woke term 'self-soothing' that sounds so childish and silly ... Why do they keep changing grown-up words and definitions until they become ridiculous?!!
Self soothing is fine? A more accurate term to describe how people feel. If the term really triggers you that much just use something else. Nobody forced you to watch this video and give this comment. Did you watch this video to have something to be offended by?
