How to Change the Cabin Filter on a MK3.5 Ford Focus 2014 to 2017

I would advise you to buy a genuine Ford Cabin Filter instead of like me getting one at the local aftermarket shop.

There looks to be nothing wrong with the old cabin filter. There are two types of cabin filter:
1. Charcoal filter (the type you have removed)
2. Particle filter (the type you are fitting)
The charcoal filter is the better filter to use, although much more expensive, and the only one to keep your Ford warranty (if still in warranty).

@@EducationPineapple Also, I find it easier to remove / install the filter if you remove the electrical plugs from the fuse board / BCM. You cannot get them in the wrong way when re-fitting them.

Bought the more "expensive" filter for around 10 pounds, Bosch 😋 so it ain't that much money anyways.. Always use a active carbon cabin filter.

Nice vid. The black cable that runs down the front really gets in the way when trying to remove and refit the pollen filter cover. Some focus don’t have it there. Not sure if it’s because it has dual zone climate on mine as Titanium.

That cable gets right in the way. It doesn't make the job any easy. Is it anyway to remove it or temporary disconnect it?

Remove it only if there is a plug.
