I find these videos very helpful and appreciate you making them.
My pleasure!
Thank you, I've been trying to find out the name and technique for this tune since I saw it in Inspector Donald Campbell of Ness.
Jimmy mac intosh Balmoral school insisted not to play an E gracenote on low A ,giving the accent on the A .But playing a short E instead giving the accent on the E witch is very différent rythme in the gracing. He made some interesting vidéo about that .Idem for the Dare mouvement on F
Legend. I gave up trying to learn this because there was no Matt Willis vid 😂
More piobaireachd embellishment videos coming soon!
Great video Matt 😊😊👍👍👍🍀🍀🍀🍀🙏🙏🙏🙏
Glad you enjoyed it
@@MattWillisBagpiper Thank you Matt for your advice on the polyester Thread it is still going strong in my Bagpipes. 😊😊🍀🍀👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Please please please can you do a tutorial on the tune “forward as one”
Please.
Not familiar with that tune...
Great vid! I see the crunluath as a tarluath with an f grace note. But grip with an edre works too.
When teaching the crunluath to students, it depends on how strong their taorluaths are. If they have good and consistent taorluaths, then I teach it as a taorluath with extra stuff.. If their taorluath are a bit weak, the grip / dre combo works better.
@@MattWillisBagpiper great videos on ceol mor. Appreciate the hard work that goes into these posts! Keep it up!
If you don't play the high A with the middle finger down, in a Pibroch competition, will you get marked down?
Not in my experience. I played a regular High A in "The Company's Lament" and no judge ever commented on it...
They remind you that you didn't play it. It's a judge's preference 😂
Just make sure your back is to the judges during that time
