I am planning fly into germany and go to the black forest just being a bring grimm`s fan next year . i have never been to europe or ridden a motorcycle there. absolutely enjoying this serious to learn.

Last Sep a member of our tour group got fined 500euros on the spot speeding fine on the B500......
500! He just have been doing 70km/h over the limit. Actually that’s not bad over the border he would have lost his bike and had thousands to pay for the same offence 🙈

We did the B500 last year, stayed at a the hotel Ochsen, Hohfen an der enz, lovely place. 😊

I rode the B500 for the first time in 2019 and was super excited to be there. I rode it again last year and I'm pretty sure the speed limits had come down... think its 80kmh most of the way now (?), with some 50kmh sections. It is undoubtedly a beautiful road, and great for a 2-up bimble. But if you prefer a more spirited ride there has to be better options in that area. Nice to see you stopped in the lovely town of Wolfach! I always stop there for a coffee when I'm on the B500. 😊
Yes you are right, I noticed that too! It appears to be the Northern section of the B500 that have the new speed limits, they were doing a lot of road works further south so i hope they don't put new speed limits in place there as well!
There are still plenty of roads in the Black forest once you get off the B500 that are still 100 zones. We ride through the Todtmoos in the next episode.
The town of Wolfach saved us hehe couldn't believe how difficult it was to find a hotel that night!

@@SeanandEmily We’re going late July on our GS - with the back box, she wouldn’t have it any other way 🤣. I like the K1600 though and you can add the back box to the GT. I’d be tempted for the big European trips 👍

Dont bother most of it either 70 or 50kph! And a stretch of it is always shut!
Yeah the new speed limits suck! But it can still be enjoyed late afternoon -there's also plenty of off shoot roads in the area that are still 100kph =)
