Thank you for such a thorough review of what happens when you drive through a flood. I really respect what you do. Good mechanics are a big part of the lifeblood of a car.
Great video and sorry for what happened to the engine , I had a my car flooded but I didn’t even tried to start engine, towed it to the dealer , they manage to start the engine ..but ended up paying almost 5000 USD to the control units and modules.
Great insight into this, crazy how people have no idea about cars nowadays and just storm into the water and down the intake pipe into water haha how did that much of water get inside tho?
You're right the water definitely got sucked up through the intake. The day it happened, it had rained a lot all day . The water level was pretty high on certain parts of the town.
Man that to bad. That's a lot of water that came out. I wonder how long she drove it with all that water in there. It must of started making some kind of noise Before it just quit.
I know I wasn't expecting that. When she told me about it I thought ok well it probably sucked up water through the intake and the sparkplugs got wet . I didn't think it was this bad.
You're the genius here my friend 😂😂. If you actually paid attention to the video you can clearly tell that the engine is not hydro locked. 8:27 spark plugs are completely out and yet the engine won't turn . But of course you're one of those keyboard mechanics that knows it all huh 🤣😂

Thank you as well. I'm glad that this was very informative.
Wow ! that's crazy! I've never seen water in an engine like that.

Why didn't you do a engine flush before putting oil?
