  • What the difference? ... Here's a Tamiya Enthusiast's first try with 6S Power! Better late than never and definitely my fastest run ever!
    Unboxing and testing a new Gens Ace 6S LiPo Battery Combo for Bashing with a GPS speed test and off road run with the Arrma Typhon 6S Brushless High Speed Basher Buggy. Believe me, the difference between 4S and 6S LiPo is very real!
    The Gens Ace 3S 6500 mah 60C High Discharge LiPo Battery Soft Packs were kindly sponsored by Gens Ace, free for review and tests. You can find the price and buy them here with this (non-affiliate!) link:

    This is the first time I have tried some real 6S Power, my fastest RC Car run ever and first time I broke anything on my Arrma Typhon 6S BLX High Speed Buggy. ... Batteries did very good but the Arrma Typhon lost a tire and cracked a wing ... nothing serious but just shows what a 6S battery will do compared to a 4S.
    Arrma Speed Pinion with the Gens Ace 6S Up Next? Could be fun to try out a +100 kph run ...

      Thanks, Jeremy. Yeah, I know other people aim at 100 mph but for me, a stock car with no mods, reaching almost 100 kph was crazy. But fun to try for the first time 😀😂

    Goddag, Mikael! Wow, those batteries sure woke the Arrma up! You doubled the speed limit, good job no police were around! I think that is too fast for me, my old eyes can't keep up with it. Great fun for a change, though. Those batteries seem to get good reviews from everybody, nice they sent them to you, and a cool T-shirt to go with them! All the best, my mate, enjoy your Sunday... :))

      Goddag, Mark! Yeah, feel happy when receiving quality stuff. Hoping the batteries will have a long and productive life ☺️ T-shirt was XXL just like the batteries 😅 Need to eat more now so I can fit it. Not a bad thing either ... Take care, my friend, and thank you so much for watching

    That 6S is no joke, I just ordered a single 3s gens ace for my Rival MT10 that just arrived. If you're looking for a 3s Arrma Big Rock is a whole lot of fun. I went with the Team Associated Rival MT over the Arrma Granite, however people love the Granite as well. 5:17 was my favorite part! Thanks!

    Well that was spectacular speed and action Mikael. Way too fast for me though, I can hardly handle my 30mph buggy lol. Got to be honest Mikael, I'm not liking the batteries on top of each other though. Hope all is well with you and yours my friend.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you, Rob. Way too fast for me too 🤭😅 But fun to try out. Amazing it was easy to make go straight. Even those above 50 years could handle it 😉☺️ Ahh, it’s pretty standard with the two batteries on top. I like the 2 x 3S since I can use the 3S as single in other cars. And if it was a 6S all cells would be on top of each other anyway inside the pack - and I would only have one car to run it with. Hope all is good too, in good old England. Best to you and yours too, my friend.

    I think there was a Pete Wylie video recently how to fix those Arrma wheels imbalance, try check it out...
    I like that buggy and considered getting it but instead I went for a Kyosho 8th scale, and I got Gens Ace Bashing with it, but I stuck to 4s, it'll be the max that both the ESC and myself can handle, I think.
    Oh, I do miss Denmark sometimes.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  Před 3 lety

      Ahh, yes, the Cooking video 🙃 mine are still fine though. It was the glue that had come off one of the wheels. And sadly a lot of dirt and water spilled in. So maybe they are out of balance now - I will know in the next run 😂 Uhh, you got the electric Inferno ? Been looking so much at that. But already got a big 1/10 Kyosho basher buggy and then this Arrma, so I had to fight the temptation, since they are not cheap. 4S is good for the everyday run. I will still run mine with 4S. But it was just fun to see it on 6S, now that Gens Ace offered me to test it for free 🙂 I might be looking in to purchasing a couple of 2S batteries from Gens Ace too. They seem of good quality. ... Ihh, and I miss Finland sometimes too 🙂🙃

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  Před 3 lety +1

  • @darkiee69
    @darkiee69 Před 3 lety +1

    I think you got some water in that tire when you ran it through the puddles. 😮 If you look carefully behind the tire at 6:42 you can see some of it squirting out.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  Před 3 lety

      Yeah, I didn’t cover the wheel holes so there was a lot of water in all tires, but especially the one where the glue came loose. Filled up 🙃

    Tire's to get blown-out like crazy for 6s? I rather not, 4s is better, nice run there,hopefully next time with belted tire's to run better, it looks good on the first pass.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  Před 3 lety +1

      I think the combo of holes in the grass/dirt and the 6S was too much. Think the tires do well on tarmac still, a little ballooning but not too wild. Luckily it was just the glue coming off. Wonder what will happen with the tires when putting on the speed pinion 🙃😅
