You and me both. And even worse is when people slow down on the highway to let them in!

These people can't visually interpret how fast a vehicle is going to match or accelerate to get on the highway.
people are zombies. no awareness at all of what's going on around them and can't see situations till it's right in their face. and it isn't just now and then, it's like everywhere you drive, there's at least one around you

I'll have to remember 5.2 the next time I see a truck trying to make a right across multiple lanes or make some multi-point turn into a drive. Normally I thought it was best to be nice to fellow drivers, but no apparently I should act as a self-appointed traffic rule enforcer.

People need to learn 4 things with driving near Class 8 trucks
1. They are bigger than you and will win in contested mass + inertia fights, so give them wide birth
2. They have lots of blind spots, re-read your drivers education manuals
3. if you can't see both of their headlights in your rearview mirror, you don't have enough room to merge in front of them.
4. this applies to every driving scenario, GET UP TO SPEED ON MERGING RAMPS!!! If you're afraid to go highways speeds, then you shouldn't be driving.

5. They take more time to speed up and slow down or stop.
6. They don't corner like a sports car; they're likely carrying or pulling a lot more weight than your entire vehicle.
#5 they are mostly driven by idiots, so cover the brakes.

I hate it when people enter an interstate or highway via an on-ramp only going 20-30 mph.
Same applies to people turning right onto a road ahead of you then not bothering to accelerate.
Doesn't help the on ramp is short
There are too many short on ramps where you would have to be driving a top fuel dragster to get up to speed in the distance provided but there are also drivers who can't decide whether to merge in front or in back. Often the vehicle entering the highway can't see the other traffic in their mirror because of the angle of the ramp.

The amount of people that obtained a drivers license whilst not knowing how to merge astounds me!! So many mergers think it's the responsibility of the vehicles already on the highway to either speed up or slow down to make room for them. They just expect it and dont bother even looking. Who taught these people how to drive? And who in their right mind gave them a license?
What make you think they're licensed to drive? Discounting DUIs and distracted (i.e. phone), most collisions involve one driver who's not licensed, not insured, not their car, car not registered, or some combination thereof.
Sadly it's not part of the test. AT ALL! They never leave the freaking parking lot. I taught my girls to drive and told them they can't get their license until I think they are ready. They both passes with flying colors but I was shocked to find out there was no road test.

@scorpionsting47 Entitled Ignoramuses. I would say 95% of drivers believe since someone or thing is in THEIR lane that YOU should have to deal with them going into YOUR lane. Basically, they view it the same way a business passes on their added expenses/higher costs onto the consumer. Doesn’t matter if it’s a pedestrian, bicyclist, mail carrier, broken down vehicle, suicidal squirrel…somehow they make THEIR problem everyone else’s.
People need to realize that semi’s don’t have the ability to stop on a dime. 🙄

You know what's frustrating about trucks on the interstate? When you're driving on a two lane section and one truck tries to pass a slower one, taking 2+ miles to do it and backing up traffic.

You know what's more annoying, 4 Wheelers that think a truck is just like a car even though a tractor without a trailer is well over 3-4 time the weight, can maneuver like a car even when hauling a 53ft. Trailer that can slide differently than the tractor and all kinds of fun deadly crap. Put your damn phones and other distractions down and fucking drive........

those hoods weigh enough, it had to be a pretty hard wind to blow it closed.
@@kenbrown2808 With the helper springs in use, you can both open and close that hood with your pinky. Very few truck hoods have a lock on them to prevent this situation. Most will just happily blow back over.

@@kenbrown2808 I am exaggerating a bit but I do about 4 oil changes a day on these trucks. A lot them close very easily. On a windy day I have to keep the bay doors shut so hoods don't slam on my head like the clip.

I saw a car, one night coming thru Toronto, go from the far left lane, across 3 other lanes to take the exit. At highway speed. The semi he cut off in the lane next to him, the brake lights on the trailer lit up as the car hit the off ramp, that's how fast it happened. Still don't know how he missed getting crushed by the truck.
If you don’t use a turn signal when driving you shouldn’t be driving in the first place.
Usage Tip: When possible, turn on your signal _ahead of time._ Let people know what you plan to do, don't just turn them on as you're turning or changing lanes!
And, just because you turn your signal on, you don’t have the right to come over. It must be safe to do so first.

#4.1 - What are you honking for? There are two lanes, you're in the left and the truck is going to wind up in the right lane. Probably wouldn't have been any issue if you didn't preemptively honk for no reason.

Truckers just don't understand how invisible they are. They are only 8 feet wide, 13 feet tall, and 75 feet long. If you want cars to see you put some flashing lights on your truck. Who sees something that size coming at them?
Lol the last clip, "Go! Go! Go! GO!" Some of these people have 200+ HP under their foot, and you'd never know it from how they merge. So many people should NOT be driving...
Folks, there's this thingie called the Go pedal. It's the right pedal and you push it down to go. More push, more go! Not too hard for most folks to figure out.

Crammers get angry when someone wants to merge. They also get angry when someone won't let them merge.
That is one of the most frustrating things with driving is when someone is merging onto a highway and don’t adjust their speed… they just slow roll until they run out of lane and then merge over like they’re the only ones on the road
I'm glad I'm not alone. Four wheelers not accelerating in the ACCELERATION lane pisses me off to no end.
There needs to be a mandatory jail sentence for hit and run drivers as well as anyone driving without insurance.
That car hauler driver from 6.x certainly finds themselves in exactly the same situation over and over again. Normally I’d say everyone else is the moron but when it happens over and over and over again, it usually means the cammer is the moron. It looks like they speed up to block people coming on the highway often and plowing into oncoming traffic instead of waiting for it to be clear when that other truck was blocking their lane, pure idiocy.

Drivers never want to take the few seconds to merge properly but they somehow find the hours it takes to deal with a collision.

At 2:26 that minivan had zero legitimate reason to hit the brakes as the truck in front was not rapidly decelerating; seems they're just trying to send a nonverbal message to the passing Challenger while simultaneously nearly causing an ARTIFICIAL collision. Luckily the Challenger has excellent driving skills despite their questionable driving etiquette. This is always puzzling to us. Why would you intentionally shorten the available stopping distance by hitting your brakes, if you've got a car rapidly approaching from the rear?

I recently had to get onto the highway for a brief period, and of course, the prius in front of me used the lane to get from a rolling 10mph to a whopping 45! To merge into a 60mph highway! I felt so unsafe.

I hate merging on ramps. People think that because they're coming on the traffic on the freeway has to let them in. Not how it works peope, pat attention to the YIELD sign!!! Trucking is hard having to deal with stupidity on the daily!
Yielding is one issue but the other is accelerating to have the same speed than the vehicles already on the freeway. Even in this video, we can see such drivers that initially merge correctly but then fail to accelerate as required.
