Why is it Buses back then had style? Today they are a bore
Because they have to be low-floor. That is why?

I remember my city used to have these buses until 2011.
What agency is that?
Toronto. That’s where I lived.@@BusTVChan
I ve been driving a bus for over 25 years and I miss these Newlook busses dearly. I learned to drive a bus with a fishbowl. The transit company where I worked phased them out in the early 2000. I truly enjoyed driving them. Unbeatable in a canadian winter snowstorm. Fun to drive. And that sound! Boy , this video brings back memories. Thank you for uploading.
Those buses are in some good shape!
These buses are in really good shape they did a good job taking care of them
I want one, those would fit in perfectly a small town in Idaho or Iowa
The Public Service GMs from the 60s were the bomb, and still look great.. I used to live in Teaneck and wait for my dad to get off the bus at Queen Ann Road from the NY Port Authority station. I later drove charters in Richmond Virginia for 8 years in the 70s & 80's .
Love that two-stroke diesel engine sound! Music to the 👂 ears!
Loved the sound of these buses! The smell, not so much. Great finds!
Beautiful buses that I’d love to drive!
You should! better hurry before they are all gone
I know that's right...
Nice parade of fishbowls
These old GMC buses look much better back then
Love that P700 signed for Oradell. My father probably rode on that, since we live in that town.
Thanks for checking out my video... thanks for the comment!
Even as a 60s kid, I always noticed how Public Service buses used a different shade of blue, blue-gray, green-blue, bright blue depending on where the buses ran and the type of service they were in.
Those are some fine buses and they got sound to back it up
What beauties!
I was very young when I rode in those GM old look busses. But, the busses I remember riding in the most are the GM new look fish bowls while growing up in Newark, NJ.
Paint them up to look like the bus in "Speed" and you'll make people smile wherever you take them!
It is almost a very simular paint scheme haha
✌️✌️✌️✌️ thanks for checking out my video and thanks for the comment
The blue Public Service buses had stick shifts. I remember that from the 107 line which ran from Irvington NJ to NYC. Also, each new model year was distinguable by the clearance lights. New style every year. The suffix letter of the unit nimber on the Public Service buses also indicated the model year.
I love the old fish bowls .the smell of diesel a dirty smelly bus station. People going places. Mass transit. V.TC.South Texas .hot summer days.I like A/C rear.top .I always rode near the driver to see him action...
Very nice fish
One thing about the fishbowl’s..everything shook when they hit a bump in the road like no other...If anybody wants to look up the Corgi 1:50 scale Liberty Lines bus 6 to Hastings (NY)...I took that bus every day for the last 3 years going to Yonkers High School...
That movie "Speed" so this was the make and model off that bus 2525
yessir. it was an assortment of mid-60s 40 and 35 footers, the main model number being TDH-5303A. The ones in the video seem to span from 1959 to the early 70s.
Brings back memories! Thanks for posting! Most Public Service buses retained their color when they became Transport of New Jersey, but some, like TNJ 720B at the start here, were painted red, white and blue for the US Bicentennial.
Great to see keep up the good work.
There's something oddly satisfying about the workmanship of 'back then'
Great video man, I really need to get up there.
Those are some beautiful buses!
I concur.. thanks for checking out the 📹 🎥 video 🚌 🚏 🚍
Thanks for the comment 😀 👍
Example of what buses are supposed to sound and look like.
There are transit 🚌 of the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and even 1980s. The former two decades has smaller windows.
Cool and a thumbs up like.
I used to have a 1963 gm new look bus from the City of Torrance Transit ca
WHAT HAPPENED TO IT???
Muito bem! Ótimo vídeo sobre os saudosos ônibus GMC que ficaram gravados em minha infância aqui no Brasil na década de 60.
Those are the best buses!!👍
Yes indeed! these are great buses
Sempre um Show,always a Show
Wow I miss the new York bus service in the bronx classic city buses
These look like buses of the 1970's. I have a commercial driver's license in my country, but I haven't worked as a bus driver. I'd like to visit New Jersey Transportation Heritage Center during my next trip to the US.
You need to visit the center. I believe the next display in lakewood would be in may of 2019
Thanks for the useful information. Now I plan to go to the US this autumn, but I might visit there in May of 2019 as well. My friend lives in Jackson, so I'll ask him more about the location.
Yes Its at the Lakewood Bus Terminal in Lakewood, NJ in Ocean County. They will more then likely know where that is. Jackson is also in Ocean County.
I'm glad to hear that. In my hometown, there are tons of bus routes. Some of buses drive on narrow roads. I found someone created a clip just like your videos.
czcams.com/video/19OL7O9iLgM/video.html
inJapan DrivingTeacher well some of those roads are pretty tight for those buses I don't know anything about those manufacturers haven't really researched those buses before
Cool video!
Thanks for checking out these buses
No problem!
Respect to elderlies young buses
I got a friend that has a fishbowl out of my
the GM new look buses were the best.
Esses ônibus, são lindas Princesas! 😀
They sound good.
very good engine sounds from these gmc fishbowl buses
Gm Fishbowl best design 😍😍😍😎
They’ve wanted by 2040 clean buses here in California if only they’d look like these oldies but goodies or something yeah!
That's my childhood.
They sure don't make the busses like that anymore 😕. The older buses were great and a lot of fun riding them and they were great 👍. In bad weather.
I agree with you, they dont make anything like they used to
Thanks for checking out my video, and thanks alot of the comment =) every like and subscribe and comment helps me out, so i appreciate it
no mundo todo tem bussologo e uma paixão
Lakewood bus terminal?
I remember riding on those 70's and 80 Buses the Bus drivers use to tell me that the steering was worth shit
It looks like a MSRTC Bus in Alibag
MSRTC Alibag Jaata Hai
Didn't know there were any Grumman/Fixible buses from the early 80's still on the road. Thought most of them were scrapped due to a design defect.
Cracked frames, I remember that. I think they repaired a number of them and then stopped making them
Today in Brazil bus is made more beautiful and comfortable than in the USA
please
That bus can jump 50 feet 😅
At least
Oh, for when you could ride bus(s)es for a few coins... even to NY...
