Statistically it’s very likely it’s someone she knew. Unfortunately everyone wants a dramatic answer like a serial killer or human trafficking… usually the reality is more mundane.
Normally timelines are very clear even with gaps. But the simple fact that it’s unclear i think whatever reason She may have stayed at someone’s house. Someone from around the corner from work.

      @patriciasimpson7020 Před 29 dny +10

Of course it should have been. And I'm honestly baffled as to why this happened and as to how nobody faced any repercussions for doing this. I just do not understand, the case doesn't involve high end criminality. It isn't about drugs, guns or gangs or anything like that. The journalists that came to talk with people were just regular journalists reporting on a story asking people routine questions as expected, not Donal MacIntyre.
So for anyone to then threaten a journalist for a case like this is seriously suspicious, even more so than the footage of the man near Claudia's house who may or may not have had something to do with her disappearance. I also don't get how they got away with threatening them either as if the journalists had backing and support from the police then there's no reason why they couldn't, wouldn't jump on these incidents to round up even more suspects straight away, other than being complete f**kin' idiots.
I'm absolutely flabbergasted!😦 If those journalists did report these encounters then the individuals who were intimidating should have been arrested literally the following day as there's no justifiable reason for any of them to have behaved this way. There is the possibility that those people just don't like talking to journalists but for case's such as this even those kinds of people would still try to help as much as they could. And as the police didn't look into this I'm left with no other choice than entertaining the actual possibility that they had something to do with Claudia's murder/abduction themselves.
I kind of do understand now why wild theories were shooting around such as Claudia possibly being trafficked. If this is how people behaved I'm surprised the idea hasn't been raised that this case is some big conspiracy where the whole town's involved.

It's all about the motivation. The likelihood that someone would be randomly abducted and murdered is incredibly low. Claudia was almost certainly murdered for a reason. If she was living a modest life working as a chef in the university, she clearly wasn't involved directly in crime. I think it's unlikely to be organised crime, as there's no real motivation or significant culture of organised crime in York which she appears to be on the periphery of. It's way more likely to be a very personal crime e.g. having a relationship with someone who decided it was better if she was out of the picture permanently and meticulously planned her exit. Probably a married guy who exploited her by asking for caution and secrecy, so he wouldn't get caught playing away from home, thereby coaching her into not leaving a trail. Poor Claudia - I hope this case is solved and she gets justice.

I don't think the police are being completely honest about what she was probably doing. She certainly "got around" and there is a strong rumour that she was also "selling herself", despite the police avidly denying that. The talk of someone walking up and down her street while on the phone, seemingly taking directions to her place and her being surprised to see him... certainly might seem to add up. If it was someone she already knew then why would he need directions to her place and why would she be surprised to see him?
Now, as a consenting adult "selling yourself" to other consenting adults isn't a crime in itself, but it can open you up to all kinds of danger.

She wasn't necessarily murdered on her way to work. She last spoke to her mum circa 20.00 and was called by a work colleague to see if she wanted a lift the following morning. He also may have called upon her the evening before but he specifically avoided the route past her house the following day on his way to work. I found that odd because people change their minds about lifts.
She never responded to a 9pm text from a friend and never opened the text that night or the following morning.
Her hair tongs were missing and her work whites.
What was odd is that she was due to meet her friend after 9pm in The Nags Head yet this friend never called her or went to her door to see where she was. The house was a few doors away.
Another friend who worked behind the bar never went to check on her after her shift ended. And that I found odd.
Two friends who never checked up on her that night and one was expecting to meet her. This friend said something interesting: 'I regret not giving more information to the police st the time'. That suggests that she may have known who she may have been meeting.
It wasn't just her passport left but also her cards. If she left she would have taken a card in case she needed money to get a cab.
Whatever occurred happened at her home.

Jen said: 'I hope that whatever happened, she was dead before she hit the ground...'. Not many deaths like that... Being shot, being hung, being knocked off road, electrocuted... (Faulty wiring, missing hair tongs...) Drugs, drink, was there a drinking game... Fight club...
Jen also said 'I had no idea it was going to play out like that...:. What did she mean by that.
Both of them said odd statements. Neither phoned her or walked the few doorways to knock on her door after she failed to come to the pub. Jen was living with her and had a key! And runs a bar so could at quick tidy ups...
Suzie fails to phone or text or call on her friend the night before but phones her dad early the next day to say something is wrong. You wouldn't phone that early. You'd wait till end of the day. She knew something had happened to her to call her dad so early the next morning.

Online there were 3 clues the tarot lady mentioned. Bridge, Castle, snowflake. The garden is by a quiet bridge, there's a model castle, and a fairy house which looked like a snowflake above the door from a distance. I guess when you want to find out, even though people don't always believe in tarot etc, I always think to explore every possible avenue. I said a prayer for Claudia to ask her to try and contact someone who can communicate to help find her, or lead someone to where she is. God bless all the missing one's.

No matter how much help and support they would receive from the police and other agencies, I would assume hardly anyone. I think each of the 4 guests would have made interesting and varied contributions, but the show should be longer - especially if one wishes to pique the public's interest, and hopefully elicit information that may help solve the case.
