The story goes, I found a listing on gumtree for pottery stuff. When I arrived the seller said 'I have all these pottery moulds would you like them as well?' and I said 'why not'. On the way home, I had the brain child to do a social media video series revealing what each mould is.
The mystery is in the fact that I had no idea what I had said yes to, some of the moulds are labelled and easy to tell but some of them are a little more difficult. The beauty is that all of the plaster moulds surprise you no matter the presentation of labels, titles or identifiable surface inside.
So come join me as I dive into this series and share the mould fun. I would love to hear any information you may have on the moulds and to let me know any stories you have that the moulds remind you of in the comments.
Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe!
Heaps of love,
Shelby

I think the mould could definitely be used as jewellery / ring storage. 😃
Such a fabulous idea! Definitely thought so literal with this piece this week! Thank you for sharing this thought because my mind totally didn’t go ‘hey I could use this for other things than paint’ ahahaha
I was thinking chips and dip... I might just be hungry though.
That's what I was thinking too!! Lol totally didn't think pallet!!
@@ShelbySherritt it just goes to show why we need to have different ppl in our lives, bc no matter what, everyone has a new set of eyes and perceptions
I immediately thought trinket tray too!
I loved the collab aspect of creating with other artists' mediums. It reminds you of the magical things and why you fell in love with the medium. And the inspiration!
Omigosh, I would give my eye-teeth to be able to paint my own ceramic palette. It’s so cute! And I think so many people would want these for jewelry, crafts, stationery, etc.
If you came up with a rainbow wildflower design or something like that, people would buy these like hotcakes.
You could even do some with the design in the paint cups and sell them as “trinket dishes” and others with the design around the edge of the palette but neutral in the paint cups to sell as “paint palettes”.
The bee design is sooo cute! And the striped tray is really fun.
Thank you! I can’t decide which one is my favourite but I am very partial to the little bees hehe
The daisy and the flower & bee designs were so cute! The rainbow stripes was also very cool, and I could see that one being used as like a bead tray to hold small things like buttons or colour separated m&ms for baking or something!
Kelsie's reaction to opening the kilm was so cute! Gorgeous work as always 😁
Aww man, I love that scratching effect! That's a new technique I don't think we've seen before, very cool. Can you incorporate that into another piece to explain the technique more please?
Also yes, more collabs! How fun to see another person's style in your medium!
Love these! I would totally use the daisy ones as a serving dish for deviled eggs
That is the cutest idea ever! I love it
This was absolutely the perfect mould to do a collaboration on!
The voice overs sounded so good and were so smooth and sounded great!
My favourite was seeing her reaction opening the kiln. It felt so genuine and special and see her reaction to what you guys have made, I'm sure has inspired a lot of your watchers to try pottery or other art.
Thank you for this video, I was look forward to your next one 😄
You and Kelsie were darling together. The collaborative aspect gave a new dimension to the mystery. Seeing her reaction was worth it. The wide variety of style & subject makes it hard to pick favorites, I’d say the flowers as paint palettes and the collab for a sauce, snack or catch all. They all have their own charm. Please reach out to more creatives and so this again. Cheers from the Midwest USA. Thanks
The collab one came out so cute. I love your bee palette and Kelsie's veggie palette the most.
Me too!
the speckled glazes are always my favourite! i also really love the milk and honey glaze youve used previously somewhere, speckly and ~variable stuff just gives it such a cozy vibe in my opinion
I think the flower ones worked so well as the speckled glaze gave an interest to the piece without distracting too much if it was going to be used as a paint palette. But really all of them were interesting designs. I did like how the houses turned out - like a sketch.
I LOVE that bee palette, the little bees are so cute. I really like Kelsie's line design too. They all turned out so nicely this week and the mould is so adorable.
I LOVE that speckle glaze so much! I loved both rainbow pieces too, and the bees and flowers were just so precious. I think my favourite piece of Kelsey's was the orange one with the scratched off flowers. It is competing with the eggsies for my favourite piece of the video.
The two minute piece was my favorite! So cute and unique, you should do more collabs with other creators!
The collab is so much fun! It was cool to see how you two worked off of each other and seeing Kelsey’s reaction to the kiln opening was so dear!
I look forward to these all week!
Yay I am so happy you do!
Who knew, after all these gorgeous and cute things, I would love the palette the most. I started painting this past year and my plastic palettes are so horrible. I have found that my tools are just as special to me as my art.
Hearing the excitement in your voices is a great way to start a Friday! I loved hearing both of your creative processes, I hope we can see more collaborations in the future!
Much fun watching the two of you!! Just love the 2 min challenge! You should do this with anyone you invite!! Next time work on two 2” pieces that you switch back and forth, that way you each get to take one home! I’m a quilter and we do a exercise called “stitch meditation “. I take a 6 inch square of cotton fabric and just sew for 2 min, switching thread every 2” for ten min total. Just free stitching with no plans, out of the box! Great mind release!
This video was wonderful! Working with other artists is always so inspiring and injects so much energy and excitement into a studio. I loved getting to see someone in your studio with you. This was such a treat!
i have never been this early to a video before. Cant wait to see what you make :D!!
Yay thank you so much please let me know what you think!
They'd make cute little candy or nut dishes, relish/condiment trays, or jewelry keepers. Also they'd be handy for beading as a bead tray, in the garage for keeping nuts/bolts/nails/screws, and the list goes on! What a great little mold to have in your collection
You could totally use these as little snack plates for kids . A dip or salsa in the middle and some corn chips and cut up veggies in the other wells.
All of your designs turned out 👍🏻 perfect!
Absolutely loved this collaboration- well done ladies ❤️
That bee one was by far my absolute favourite. As well as the scribble one. Wow
The bee is the cutest! It also really cool to see a mold from my hometown be living so far away now!
The 2 minute piece was really cute. It is challenging to share a piece and just let go and let it just come out even if it is a little chaotic 😊
They all came out so lovely! I think, if I really had to pick, my favorite is Kelsie's stripes. Just so nostalgic back to my childhood, in so many ways.
This was such a fun video and so wonderful to have a collab and hear from another amazing artist. It was so interesting how you each added your own styles. It just shows how unique art truly is!
They all turned out so cute and beautiful, but I think my faves were Kelsie’s carved out one, the bee one and the smiley face daisy. That speckled glaze is just gorgeous 😍😍😍 I’d love to see that used again in another mould reveal. So stunning. Amazing job all round.
🙏 Thank you for creating your art and this content. I’ve been indulging in it a lot in recent days when feeling down, stressed and overwhelmed and it is such a wholesome, joyful salve to the soul. Thank you Shelby! (and thank you Kelsie!)
I am SO jealous! I'm an artist too and that is the exact paint pallete I want. I can't afford to get one and if I had been in your shoes I would have been just over the moon! I bet you could sell these without even painting them!
I absolutely love the bee design ❣️❣️
It's such a cute mould! It looks like something you could do so much with, and also would be really popular. I'm sure some people would want it as just a decorative knicknack and actual artists would find it very useful.
What a fantastic mold ! So functional 😁
This collab was brilliant! It would be fun to see more.
This was so wholesome and sweet, all of the palettes came out so cute! The little bee one is my favorite 🧡 thank you both for creating! ☺
The bee design is my favorite though I love all the houses, the daisy's and the other designs. They'd be really nice just for small candy dishes for holidays too. A really cute mold.
This might be one of my favorite useful molds you've done to date
I just love this mold. I am a rock painter and of course have my own interpretation of design. I can see my own style painting on this and would love to know how to buy blank pieces.
She has a business called Mouldy Bisquits where she sells unpainted mystery mould pieces with little paint pots 😊
This is one of my fav episodes for sure 🤩 so kool seeing someone discover a new appreciation for another creative platform🌼🌺🏵 🐝🐝🐝
Isn’t it so wonderful!!
This is the first mould I’ve actually really WANTED more than anything!!!! I NEEEEEEEEES one!!! And the first video I wanted from beginning to end without skipping to the end result! Love love LOVE 💕
I loved this mold. It may be the creative in me, but I love the shape and the glazed outcomes. I think the Bees 🐝 are my favourite!
I love this type of collab. A newbie to pottery is neat to watch and encouraging.
Great collaboration ladies! That was very fun to watch.
What a fun collaboration! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope to see more.
This is a fun mould! You could also use them as a little snack dish, nuts and fruits and little finger foods in each dish, that way you can go crazy with the design and not worry about the paint color issue.
The bees are absolutely my favourite! they would be functional for watercolor but are still so so cute
I think this is my absolute favorite reveal so far!!! I love love love the smiley face palate!!!
That speckled glaze is gorgeous!! ❤
I really liked the colab! Maybe videos of the mystery molds with artists working in their own space would be cool. Kind of a way to promote Mouldy Bisquits and other artists at the same time!
Cant believe I missed a notification!
Love how different this mould was from the coffee mug which was restrictive, this one lends itself to loads of ideas! Love the bees, they were so cute! Another hit shelby!!! X
The three that Kelsie did are STUNNING! I also love your house one, and the specked effect on the daisies, and I love the simplicity of the bees. Basically I love them all. I think this is one of my favourites that you've done. I really hope you put some of these in your shop
What a great evolution for your Channel. I loved watching your collaboration. I’d love to see more 😊 I look forward to Saturdays to watch what you have made.
Kelsie's rising intonation is so Aussie! Loved the collab... yes more please!
i love the bee design! super simple but soooooo cute
I'm with trinket tray/jewelry folks...I could so see your sun and moon design you did on the mugs on these!
I’ve been watching this series every night for weeks. Can’t believe I’ve finally caught up 😞 I absolutely love your artwork and your personality 💕 Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪
Omg the two minute shared piece was adorable :*) I rlly love the area with the bunched up smiley face guys it would be rlly cute to see a piece with more of that pattern
Wow I really can't pick a favourite this week, I love them all! It was soo sweet seeing you work with another artist, you can really tell you both let loose and just had fun with it! :)
I loved seeing a collab! Art is such a solitary endeavour that I'm sure it's both an adjustment and a pleasure to have company.
This is so fun! I love the collaboration, the 2 minute challenge turned out really cute! Sharing the media we enjoy with other artists is one of the best things about being an artist. Another amazing video, Shelby!
I love her reaction! I'm so happy you did a collaboration with Kelsey the difference in design is a wonderful contrast absolutely love them both so much.
Beautiful! My personal favorite is the one from the two minute challenge; the dots (thumbprints?) with faces somehow just make me smile 😊.
I could also see the mould being used as a snack tray, as a watering station for bees/insects, or (glazed just on the outside) for growing microgreens (analogous to a cress hedgehog. Are those still a thing?) .
omg that house paint palette is absolutely beautiful!!!!
What a fun video! I love how every single piece turned out. The little faces are adorable!!
These are all so cuuuuute. I've always wanted a ceramic pallette for my watercolors. I've just been using the metal pallette on my watercolor tin. That's so amazing that she could make her own!
This was great! And as others have said it can be used to hold jewelry or keys or trinkets. Love the collab! So much fun to learn from each other ☺️
This mould and the collaboration are so sweet!
The bee and the flowers work very well,
🐝 #1 though so cute!
Watching your channel reminds me of some of the little porcelain brooch pins that my grandmother had had and her relish dishes and her little ornamental shoes
The two minute piece was my favorite!
i love love LOVE the speckle glaze on the daisy palettes!
Wow, love the perspective of the two artists.
So cute! The bee one is my favorite!
This collab was one of my favourite of your videos!
JUST DELIGHTFUL! Love you both so much x
Yes! Would love to see more collabs videos! This was fun to watch!
Not just a paint pallet, it would be such a cute appy platter!
These are adorable! I loved seeing the different designs you both chose.
So fun! Loved this reveal. Also, loved the collab!
These turned out fantastic!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love them. They are all so gorgeous. Really enjoyed the collab.
Love love love that speckled glaze!!
These are adorable. As someone who doesn't paint I'd use one for jewelry on top of my dresser. That would free you up to do more inside the mold. My favorites are the veggies and the daises.
Loved the kiln opening moment!
So cute I think they would make a great bead dish to,and painted up like a honey combe.
These could also be sold as candy trays and trinket dishes! Maybe some painted flower or jewel details with pearly finish and these would be lovely.
love love LOVE the bee one and also Kelsie's monochrome one with the carved out design so much
What a fun guest to have! I love her art!
A very very fun collab! Thank you so much, and so happy I could share her work with you!
These are so cute!! I loved your designs. The sad and happy daisies were my favorite. The reveal and reaction was amazing! :)
I love this piece. You both did an amazing job with your creativity.
I really loved watching you two collab together it was so fun and inspiring 💖
I’d for sure use this for mini snacks and have a dip in the middle!
This Collab was so cute and fun. And I absolutely loved everything you did for this mold.
Fridays are my favorite! I love these videos!
I loved the collab and seeing other artists’ styles!
It was fun to see two unique artists design pieces! I'd love to see this more often. :)
The speckle glaze is so nice. Also I think that these can be used to make a food-plater
I loved the collab! I would totally love to see more with different artists!
I loved the collab. Delightful!
Beautiful and perfect for Earth Day 🌏🐝💮🌻
