I recently learnt to read Urdu and yes, my “Urdu” pronunciation has definitely improved, nastaliq definitely helped. All that said, I dont think one should slam speakers for saying certain words wrong which have sounds that dont exist in their language. It’s almost infuriating. I am certain that if devnagari had separate letters for those sounds, people would definitely be able to pronounce them. I do indeed acknowledge that ‘क़’ and ‘ख़’ and stuff similar to that exist, but in practice- they’re just regular devanagari characters with a dot below them and one might not even pay attention to them or even wonder what that dot stands for because it isnt in canon with what they had previously being taught about the script and unlike Nastaliq, the number of dots do not matter to determine the sound in Hindi written in Devanagari.
Yes, I do agree that people mispronouncing words in your native tongue is definitely annoying and I definitely agree with your notion that people should be educated on how to rightly pronounce them! I couldnt agree more! but yes, as previously mentioned- it *really* isnt the speakers of a language who are at fault.
No, I do not feel attacked by this video. I thought my comment would resonate with some people and would make them feel less alone, less like a monolith.
    That’s all I had to say :)
Ps, your english pronunciation is awful. Perhaps you should take a “masterclass” on the language :D

Shakeel Jamali is a liar and a fraud when he accuses (20:11 min) great singer Kishore Kumar of mispronouncing 'Shikva' as 'Shiqva' in the song 'Tere bina zindagi se koi...'.
The fact is Kishore has not mispronounced the word 'Shikva,' but has rendered it perfectly, i.e. 'Shikva' (not 'Shiqva'). Listen to the song 4:18 min onwards on the following link and decide for yourself. czcams.com/video/8-HnmVg0-O8/video.html
