You've GOT this! I mixed up high flow acrylic paints and acrylic inks into my soap water. I keep each color in an empty pill bottle for furure use. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Great tip! I keep the leftover inks in recycled little bottles, too! We think alike! 😊
I've done this for kids' art classes for years. After much experimentation, I've found that using plain old food color and bubble solution work the best for a variation of bubble sizes and clear prints. 😊
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me! It's such a fun technique for kids art classes ❤️😊
@Saacibo You're right! I've not yet seen any age group that isn't intrigued with this technique!
Thanks, Dragena for doing this for you and us, so we don’t have to reinvent the wheel and go through this process. I had great fun with the printer paper hubby bought. This is a fun thing to do with my granddaughters, once they are a bit older. 2+4 may be a wild mess!
You’re very welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks so much for watching ❤️😊
Gracias, intente varias veces y con esta recomendación lo logré!!!!!
I’m so glad. Thank you for watching 😊❤️
The larger bubbles don’t seem to soak the paper as much and give better definition. Looks like fun.
It really was a lot of fun! Thanks for watching 😊❤️
What a pretty project you did 🧡🧡🧡 I LOVE BUBBLES 🧡🧡🧡 thank you for the patience to make another try with them 👍🏻
My pleasure! I'm glad you enjoyed it Steffi! I love creating abstract background pages. I plan to do some drawing on them at some stage😊❤️
Awesome, thank you so much for this tutorial.
You're very welcome! Glad you liked it! 😊❤️
The second time is the charm! The results are amazing. I'm definitely going to try it now.
I'm glad you like it! Thank you so much 😊❤️
Metallic acrylic inks work well on black paper😊
Thank you for the suggestion. I will try that next time 😊
This is the coolest thing g ever! Who knew blowing bubbles could become art😊
Glad you liked the video! It was so much fun to do this and I hope you try it sometime ❤️😊
bubbles! this is soo much fun! and they turned out beautifully!
Thank you so much 😊❤️
I love how you experiment and get wonderful results from unpredictable media. Once dried, is the soap leaving a sticky feeling to the paper?
Not at all, not sticky nor slippery, nothing. I was surprised. I also had a lot of ink mixture left so I decided to keep it to see how long it will be before it goes bad. 😊❤️
WELL!!! How cool is that! Thank you for sharing. I'm definitely trying this! Thank you so much.
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it 😊❤️
What an interesting process, love the outcome 💛
Thank you so much! Glad you like it 😊❤️
Those are lovely. Love all the shades. Thank you for sharing your tips. I love the bubbles.❤
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching 😊❤️
So glad you're no longer having bubble trouble, lol. 😁 Your papers came out very nice.
I saw Barbra's video quite some time ago and had similar issues with using coffee, so I tried food coloring, it worked pretty well. I also like how you scooped the bubbles off, seems to work better then just letting them dry.
I don't have any calligraphy ink, but found some water soluble ink cartridges, at the resale shop. May break one open and soak in a little water and see how that works out, for 25 cents, you can't go wrong, lol.
Great project, enjoyed watching!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Great idea using ink cartridges. Inks go a long way when you add water to them 😊
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment 😊❤️
💜
Nice idea for background papers! TFS
You are so welcome! Glad you like them ❤️😊
I think you could use that tray to blowup bubbles and then just take your paper to the bubbles instead of trying to carry them over. Also just to blow a glob of coffee or ink around a page makes a wonderful design💞
Thanks for the tip 😊❤️
Looks like fun, you torn paper looked like a turtle design!😂
😂😂😂 yes, I can see a turtle! Oh, the reality of experimenting when crafting is that things will go wrong at some point, I choose to embrace it 🤣
Try a bubble gun for a marbled bubble print ! I do this for kids and the print effect is so beautiful. So good for mass making
Thanks so much for the tip! ❤️😊
I like it. Do you think can work also with acrylic colors? I want to try
I think it works with acrylics, too. As long as they are not too thick and heavy. 😊
Some days ago I used ink spray whitout glooves…. It was difficult to wash away, also with alcool, nothing. But the embarrassing thing was that the color was blood red🫣🫣
Oh, dear 🤣. Mine were magenta and green, every pore was stained and it went all under my nails 🤣
❤❤
Red green and yellow make brown
If you don't have wooden tongue blades, you can use a ruler, kitchen spatula or even a credit card.
Barbara @ 49Dragonflies shows us to place the paper over the bubbles container and the bubbles will instantly be on the paper without the dark areas from spreading the bubbles with an instrument. I’ve had 100% success. Just another approach. Enjoying your channel, Dragana.
Thank you! I show Barbara's technique briefly in the video, at 39:08 and again at 53:17. I prefer her method for small papers and envelopes. When working on larger papers I find it easier to bring the bubbles to the paper. 😊❤️
@@Saacibo oops! Guess, I commented too early and I had to go do something and didn’t get to the later part. Next time, I get to makin’ bubble solution with the grandkids, we’ll do it both ways. Either way, one does get some fun papers.
Nice. How long the water/dishwashing detergent/ink mixture can be kept in cupboards under lids in jars? I hope for a long time. Also I went to check prices for drawing ink on amazon and boy those could add up. But then I checked my local Michaels and with the coupon of 30% off of a regular item (for one only per day) I can try that. White on black paper impressed me the most. I gave a fountain pen to my husband for his BD long ago and never seen him actually using it. So I'll see if he can let me borrow that for doodling. Plus I will do the bubbling. And let the grandkids watch (just watch😊) when they come to visit.
I'm going to keep the ink mixtures for as long as they look ok. I transferred them into recycled little bottles and jars that I can close. I honestly don't know how long they can last. But, I'm sure I'll get at least a few uses out of them. I filmed the video on that but I think I won't release now, maybe after some time to see, I have to see if the inks hold up ok. 😊❤️
Dragana how do you stop the paper from warping?
I usually stack them up after they are completely dried and I place lots of large heavy books on top. I leave them like that for a day or two and they become relatively flat again. 😊
@@Saacibo thank you. Does it help if I put them under a heavy thing when wet?
@@armineaghajani3478 I don’t know, I haven’t tried. Mainly because I was afraid they might end up being stuck to the books or moldy from drying too long without proper air flow 😊
@@Saacibo thank you
🤩👍👍👍💕💕💕🇩🇰
Thank you Karen 😊❤️
Try using just the white ink and soap without any water on the black paper. Yours may have been too dilute.
Probably. Thanks so much for the suggestion. Next time I try I'll use less water 😊❤️
I have been experimenting with bubbles and ink myself. It seemed to leave a bad taste in my mouth. The fumes? Not sure, but to avoid that, I just made a mixture. Of ink, dawn soap. Got a sock, put it over a cut up water bottle, and blew the bottle with a hair dryer on the actual canvas. It worked too. I just did not like the taste.
Great idea using socks and a hairdryer. I haven’t experienced any fumes or funny taste in my mouth. I was very careful not to inhale, and I always turned my head away from the straw when I was inhaling air. 😊
@@Saacibo Thanks yes, I did, and I tried not to inhale, but for some reason, it really left a bad taste in my mouth literally. Blowing the bubbles, through the sock, creates a lot of bubbles, but sometimes, they can blow away. Lol. I am working on a piece right now, and its taking me a few days to complete it. But I am also working with resin, to create bubbles, and it will be on my channel in the near future. Hope you can see it. Have a great day.
