5 things I LOVE about the Samsung Galaxy S23 - Who Needs Ultra?

- I really enjoyed using the (Lavender) S23 a little bit more than the Ultra, sometimes the "best of the best" isn't for everyone as size really DOES matter.

Exchanged my 3 months old S22 with S23 yesterday and believe me in just one day of use I can say the battery issue with previous s22 has been upgraded in S23 ... this S23 in just one day of use I have used it for almost 1 day now and charged only onced.. I am really happy with battery backup now .....
Got the same, but once you play you have only 5.30 h until it die, at 100%
I have also booked the s23, on the way currently, need to get out of the worst battery performance of the S22 :(

@@sirjokewither1224 User usage plays a factor in battery life.
I've had my s23 for over 3 weeks now,and it's everything I wanted my s22 to be.
The battery performance is much improved and I'm starting to prefer the design over the s22.
Also glad that we have the same chip across the board this year.
Overall it's a beautiful "compact" phone 😍
Can you please tell me what is your screen on time ??
@@anassmaystro screen on time will be different for everyone.
Having said that I get around 7-8 hours
It's a 128 gb variant?
@@rajikathapliyal3424 I got 256gb
@@paullewis6836how? I'm only gettinh around 4 to 5 hours of screen on time
6:30 light weight. Agree. Spot on review which for some reason other reviewers have not been talking about. Please don't take chapter titles out of timestamps. It's not "more exciting to watch" it's manipulative.
I received my Samsung Galaxy S23 a few months ago and totally love it. I am still learning about all the new features on this phone, may I add I am upgrading from a Samsung S6 which I bought in 2015 which also served me well.....
I am currently using a Galaxy A3 ( 2017) and planning once for all to move to an high end S class samsung
Good review, informative and entertaining
I have a Samsung s23 and I can say wow 👌 I love the compact phone with all the upgrades. And would still be using it for a good few years.
Iam glad you talked about the 8gb ram. Do you think 8gb in the ultra version is also enough? It should be ok, there isnt much differences in the phone except screen and cameras.
Great video ❤😃
The design is definitely the best of current flagships. Very minimal and classy. None of that bs square or elevated back under the camera lens
What is your favorite color ?
True, this is by far the cleanest design I've seen on any phone ever
Great review. Should have took a pic of the bell tower. TU..
I just ordered the basic S23. Should be here in a couple days. I purchased it based on a few videos similar to this one, and having previously owed 3 other Samsung phones (my current one is an S20). It looks to me that the S23 has made a new benchmark for smartphones for the next few years. So I am confident in buying this phone without feeling like it will be outdated in a year.
How is it so far?
Unless the flip phones evovle enough fast , S23 will remain best for long time
Loving it smooth, the perfect size, really good display has everything you need
bro, have u tried to uploading videos from main camera to IG? how is the quality? and compare to IPHONE how is the stabilization?
Thanks for sharing. I changed in my note9 for s23. Happy so far. Thanks for your vid.
Had a rough time deciding between the Ultra and the regular. Finally chose the S23 over the Ultra because it's just too big and I would only use the s-pen once in awhile but would have to weild it's size all the time. Glad I went with the smaller one, it's so nice and fast. Battery is much longer lasting when compared to my previous s22 and flip 3. The S23 reminds me of the S10e, too bad that was the last perfect phone as we've lost headphone Jack and sd card slot.
Thanks for the video!
can you please tell me how much Screen On Time do you get on a full charge?
@@Aryannoyed it's been 17.5 hours since last charged with a screen on time of 5.5 hours and the battery is still at 48%!
@@Aryannoyed 60hz refresh rate and 1/3 brightness
Couls you tell me about camera? How good is that?
I agree with what you said about it being like the s10e. I upgraded from the s10e to s23 256.. same form and everything else is upgraded. I was worried about the battery, but it's fine.. 👍
Me and my son both have the s23.
Found your video wanted check it out
Can you please tell me what is your screen on time ??

just an info, its not an overclocked chip, its just clocked higher
Samsung Galaxy S23 is really nice surprise and battery improvement is fantastic!
Battery is insane..... i just get it yesterday... and charged once
I sold my S23 Ultra and bought a S23. The compact size is refreshing.
How'd you do that clock display in your homescreen?
Thanks for making this! Ive been thinking about the ultra, but cant justify the price. You may have convinced me!
Tha'ts how we do it :)
I was your 1K like.
Great video. I got the same color , just loving the phone!!!
I just picked mine up in black.
Love it so far.. upgraded from a Poco f3 and s10e.
How you finding the battery ?
@@chriswest2290 Its lasting till end of the day, like 7-8 hours SOT. BTW im mostly on wifi ,feel like 5g would drain more battery though
@@Akshaykumar-kg5qv that's great.. congratulations on your phone👍.

Iphone 14 or this ?

“It could be slightly faster than Apple’s A16… as long as you don’t look at any benchmarks”
Hahahahahhaha I didn’t know this was a comedy show.
HAHAH
It is
Just upgraded from the S20 to a S23 Plus haven't activated yet but the design doesn't feel like plastic and noticed they got rid of the curved screen
That's because it's not plastic, it's glass front and back.
Can you please tell me what is your screen on time ??
haha hello i am rich, straight away flexing at us
I was hoping you're going to mention the weight which is by far my favorite feature. Who wants to carry around a 250 g brick in their pocket with a case? Not ne!
The new Sony Xperia amazingly also kept the weight down to only 185g... so it appears at least some manufacturers still realize this is a desired need. I'm talking to you Apple!
Apple also makes regular aluminum base and plus model iPhones ...
Screen on time bro?
The only thing I don't like here is the One UI. I just don't like how it looks.
Otherwise this compact phone had all i wanted
A54 is insane at 400
@richme how's the battery
How's the Battery Life? Especially when gaming for a few hours every day.
S23+ here battery life is amazing. 8+ hour sot EZ
S23 here. I'm getting 7 hours sot steaming CZcams the whole time.. on 4g and 5g no WiFi. And the battery software is still optimising and learning my usage, so could get better. 👍
@@chriswest2290 That's impressive 👍
Got 48h without charging 4h sot, and maybe in this 4h, 2:30 of gaming and still 30 % its better than expected, my first impression was bad but its pretty good.
And ive put the Best setting to save more battery, no ram plus, basic cpu, dark mode, 60hz.
And it was charged only at 85%.
S23 6.1 256
Love the smartphone a lot
I could get it if I do have the sources...Or even much appreciated if I’m offered.🥰🥰
Anyone Has any IDEA :
Which kind of screen protector we should use for this mobile? After I applied a screen protector as the Tamper Glass fingerprint sensor is not working
Spigen ez fit is brilliant, had them on both my s22 and now s23 👍.
Re-register your fingerprint once you put it on.
That's why I dislike these fingerprint sensors in the display ...
Swapped from 14 pro to s23 and battery is about the same. For people who are asking. Didn't regret the change to android yet. Swapping back and forth every 2 to 3 years
How about cameras? I'm on fence. I'm actually android user, but I want those awesome macro cameras pro offers. Can s23 make them too? Also I came to conclusion that I would miss Samsung's offered freedom as opposed to iphone.
Is this color suitable for guys????
i have the ultra and its bulky with screen protector and case, i am thinking about downgrading to the s23 256gb and keep the rest of the money, faster charging and 200mp camera don't mean a lot to me and i still have the same performance...
Yeah your eyed were too big, you said it s23 256 is the Best.
@@sirjokewither1224 both are great, but the ultra is really bulky and i am a big guy with big hands, to use it with one hand is not a simple task and no one uses the 200mp nor the spen daily, i find it hard to justify for 400 difference to me.
@@pav1u yep, but its not only 200 mpx its 6.8 screen, spen, and more
@Sir Joke Wither i explored everything including developer options and routines etc, i changed every costumizable thing here, i can see what it is capable of, thing is the heavy weight on one hand and too big for not using one hand modes
@@pav1u So you did downgraded ?
Ok, so I'm now on the fence. I currently use samsung galaxy s10e. I'd like to buy new phone for better camera, especially for macro photo taking. So first I wanted to buy iphone 13 mini, then regular 13 (better battery life), then pro or 14 pro. THEN I noticed in the store s23, and really liked it's design, and cameras seemed larger then regular android phone, as well as it has telephoto lens (with what iphone pro phones now capture macro photos), so now samsung s23 comes in the picture, and now I can't decide, because actually I'm enjoying android, and I came to conclusion that I'll definitely miss the freedom it gives, yet I really want those awesome iphone pro cameras. And, yes, I have really small hands. What would be best chose?
you wont like s23 camera, maybe s23 ultra camera is good but regular s23 camera is blurry, details when zooming are non existing and videos at night are terrible...my old iphone did better job so i would go for the iphone..but its amazing phone tho if it had a better camera
@@EliteRazzarar bummer. Maybe s24 will be better? Let's hope. I took, however, some photos in Samsung shop with s23. Maybe it's only because of good lightning, but photos came out good, even tried closeups, kind of macro shots, like with my glasses frame. It came out food, with nice details. Still dunno, you might be right as you have used it in natural lighting.
Had the s10, upgraded to 23. Get it, the camera is more than fine
This is the S23 correct not the plus!
How much Storage is actually available with the S23 with 256GB of Storage? --- In other words, how much System Software and Bloatware come with the device? --- Also, can any of this Bloatware be deleted?
In my s23. 8/256. The system takes around 57 GB of storage
He forgot to mention than 256 version comes with ufs4.0 storage...the 128 one comes with 3.1...a huge difference.
If u are planning to use the S23 for years i suggest buying the 256 gb version
This phone is no ENTRY in any way. I know you did not say "entry level". I've bought the S23+ but the price is everything but an 'entry'.
I have an extra S10 512 gb (white) in mint condition for sale. It's not used. If anyone is interested, let me know. I purchaed from online reseller company when my S10 128 gb screen broke, but got it fixed and missed the return date of the 'new' one. Anyways, I ordered the S23 in 256. I wish I could get it in the 512 :( It really limits it w/ apps and stuff. I hate big phones.
Tbh after having bade models for 4 years
And I still have the base model s22
When I saw real life differences between both base and ultra
Actually the ultra is better top notch everything
Yea the base model is good
But there are some stuttering happens unexpected heating on S22 not 23 ofc
But It feels the ultra is constantly faster
Like it retains the speed of the phone
But the base model rarely like feels heavy if you over do it with the phone
Which is expected but I noticed eventually
Portraits also are better since laser auto focus
It feels better on the ultra or top notch more than s22 for example
Still if you get the base model it's fine
Also don't forget to mention the vibration motor and sound from speakers
Meh it's kinda subjective to your needs
Hi everyone I’m Rich😃.
Forget about galaxy s23. I love your hair style though.
ahaha thanks!
Just a shame about the colours
8k looked awful
I hate that your name is rich now
hahhaha i swear it's not my fault! XD
For me ? It's my nightmare's phone!! Since I left my S10+ I can not stop complaining.
This new phone has a lot of negative points, for example in hardware: the gorilla glass victus 2 is weaker and likely to get scraches if you dont use a glass protection (on s10+ this wasn't necesary); another point is the Ip68 protection, since I ve got this new phone I got dust inside my camera glass!! I couldnt belive it when I discovered it!; another point, you lose head phone input and memory slot to improve capacity; the phone caseing looks less attractive than all glass caseing S10+.
Talking about software, yes, its a little more efficient and the batery last longer. The camera.. its good, one of the only best point of the phone.
Anyway, I think that there is a low cost qality phone but more expensive than ever, even though compairing to the other generations of Galaxy S that are cheaper and built with more quality materials
Interesting point you have. I use s10e, and I love it's size, 3 years and it's still going strong with 6gb ram. Only drawback is battery life. It's not very good, I'm not getting full day, and actually I never had. Camera is nice, but I'd like to upgrade.
