I have to say the most impressive part of Han is: in China, it's otd is 247,000 Yuan, which equals so 35,000 USD. Almost the same as Camry. This is amazing and the reason why it sells so much. I can't wait to see it coming to the US

I think this is an older version of Han EV, which was produced in 2021. The new 2022 version looks and rives better.

the rotating screen feature of all byd evs is very useful. normally i keep it at landscape as it gives me slightly better view of of the road. but on long road trips, i rotate it to portrait, and split the screen in two halves. on top half is my navigation app, and on bottom i play stream videos to keep the kids entertained.

BYD actually brought in ex designers (external and internal) of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi and Mercedes a few years ago, they are really serious about pushing their brand towards international customers...

Nah B.Y.D has changed the game in China. Already. NIO in the late future maybe but B.Y.D. cars as re the new Teslas even tho China already has an increase of Tesla drivers.
BYD has become the toppest EV brand in China. The car in the video is 2021 version which is out of date. BYD has a lot of more advanced cars nowadays. BYD sold more than 1.86 million cars last year, much more than Tesla. And sales are still growing fast. If you order a BYD car now in China, you have to wait for more than 3 month. With the production capacity growth, BYD may soon take the place of Tesla in all of the world.

I drive a limited edition 2022 Han EV, many times at charging station compared with Model 3and Y, they are not that good really. And the smart drive is a huge risk and tens of drivers died or seriously injured in China coz they trusted the public campaign of Tesla too much. And tesla sales plummeted in the last quarter of 2022. The losing year of 2023 for Tesla just began.

The real reason was Huawei wouldnt allow the U.S. government back door access to their phones and technology which the U.S. could use to reverse discovery of their technology (to steal it).

Thanks so much for this awesome video! BYD Han EV is an amazing car, I’ve had mine for a little over a year now in the Bahamas 🇧🇸 and I can’t get enough of it. The build quality and AWD performance is way better than the Tesla 3. The only ‘flaw’ is I have to learn mandarin to give it voice commands😂

The chances of these vehicles been sold in the USA is very unlikely. Firstly they to cheap so that's major competition to the local industry. Secondly they will blame the Chinese government for spying on customers through the cars AI( as if Tesla does not do it already). Thirdly, it shows that BYD with its blade battery technology is so far ahead of the USA and other countries in producing affordable EV's for the middle class. China is doing far more than most G7 countries in the green movement as well with regards cleaning up its environment but the west always focuses on the negative. Well done to BYD.
Fun fact: BYD is proudcing batteries for Tesla.

Not True. Tesla builds all its own battery packs, and it also builds some of its own cells. The cells it uses (in its pack) come from multiple sources. These predominantly include: LG Chem, and Panasonic. Panasonic produces cells with Tesla's GigaFactory in Nevada.

Every screen that sticks out like this in all cars should rotate. The driver should be able to choose what way the screen is orientated and when they park and watch a streaming app they could ask that app to play in landscape mode and then the system would remember how the driver likes certain apps to be used.

Nice looking vehicle reminds me of the beautiful Lucid Air. Great video as usual. Where do they write the code/software for their cars? Lucid's software is written entirely in the USA and if I'm not mistaken in Texas. I would love to see a head to head comparison with the Lucid Air. The starting price is very similar (MSRP). I love the cantilevered curved screen in the Lucid plus they have an iPad style screen in the middle. How come you guys don't have "Search" on your YT page?

Sport mode will turn both the front dash and centre pad red, and the dials will have differnt graphics that's more sporty/aggressive.

BYD is actually mostly a mainstream automaker, and that's why they're selling so many cars. NIO is the Chinese EV company that focuses on the high end, and they make very sleek looking cars, which also have swappable batteries. Li Auto is another startup high end EV maker, which focuses on luxury SUVs. Although BYD is not branching into the luxury space, with their Denza brand and their new high end luxury Yangwang brand.

To correct you if you haven’t been, that was BYD total car sales you mentioned. They have yet to pass Tesla for #1 ev sales. BYD also sells hybrid cars which has the majority of their total car sales.
