Why Sindarov accepted the draw he could play on to stalemate Gelfand's king.
Stalemate is still a draw, why wasting time?
There was a time that fide considered stalemate equals 0.6 points rather than 0.5 for the dominant side so it worth playing on.
They are not 1300s they know an easily drawing rook endgame when they see one.
