Cool game, but I don't get it. At 3:00, after Black takes the sacrificed bishop, what is his defense to mate in 1 after Rd1 or 0-0-0?

That's the correct line, f6 is the only move, since f5 would run into Nf3 and Ng5 which there is no defense to without a huge material loss. Only after f6 you play f3 and then the queen is forced to move away without being able to go back to d8 defending the rook, so Qxc6 is possible and white is better.

Thanks! - yes, luft for the King is the only save. With White I'd still be sorely tempted to still play Qd8+ and totally paralyze Black's back rank. But I can see how he might hang on and eventual get his Queen back to evict the White Queen, so f3 simply collecting the exchange with Qc6 would be best. It seems surprising though that White would not opt for this very natural D-file attack, but probably he saw something or other he didn't like...
