Mineola, NY - Original FS Thunderbolt 1003 & Gamewell Diaphones - Siren & Horn Salute - 4/7/20

Update: As of May 2023, this siren has been re-installed on the new firehouse.
Update: This siren and the horns have been removed. A new Yellow 1003 is on a pole nearby to its old location, near the now demolished firehouse. It is being sent out for repair, and refurbishment, and will be reinstalled along with the new firehouse being built.
This Thunderbolt 1003 is the Mineola F.D. HQ Siren. The Diaphones are the backup horn, and sound for special events like this. They are both located on 171 Jericho Turnpike, by Washington Avenue, in between Willis Avenue and Mineola Boulevard. The Thunderbolt is sounded for fire calls and sounds everyday at 6 PM excluding Sunday.
Since Suffolk County did their siren salute 2 days ago, Nassau County conducted their's today. I decided to come to this Thunderbolt 1003 again. This siren performed many Hi-Lo's and was sounded with the New Diaphones for the first time, As far as I know. My friend Thomas F. (Railstormers Rail & Aviation) came with me to this siren.
