- My wintery sunday hike - with a surprise companion - takes me to two ice-clad waterfalls right on the outskirts of Reykjavík in Iceland; Tröllafoss & Þórufoss.
Tröllafoss: 64.21067074098285, -21.535906556451945

I just want to dispel right away any illusions that I might be getting a dog 😂
Actually, it's the dog that chooses you 🐶

Hello from England, Found your channel while researching for our upcoming holiday to Iceland in May. We have since binge watched all your vlogs. Keep up the good work. Jason & Kate
We are happy that you did not fall into the creek and get trapped. At least we know they would easily find your body in that bright, new?, jacket that you are wearing. I bet the trolls iced up the first waterfall just before you got there. Sneaky little fellow's. :)
😄
Speaking on behalf of the FOI (Fans of Ivar): while we adore you and your videos you and the scenery can't compete with a cute dog.
I KNEW allowing that dog to tag along was a bad idea! 😆
Are we going to start a fan group now? with groupies?
Thanks you for a wonderful video. When I was young (the late 1960s) my family lived at the Naval Air Station, Keflavik. I remember many visits to Thingvellir National Park and I remember the waterfall. Because we mostly went sightseeing in the summer, I had never seen it frozen before! Wow! Beautiful! I always enjoy watching your hikes.
Happy to hear you enjoyed it :)
Hi! a mexican guy here and a follower of your videos for some years.
Maybe the dog was your Nahual during your hike 🤭 In Mesoamerican cosmovision a Nahual is a mythical being that have the ability to transform into an animal. They are considered a protective spirit and spiritual guide that accompanies the person.
Just a funny random fact lol.
Loved that insight, and I am going to believe this was the case 😊
I know that you said that a dog doesn’t fit in your future “logistics” plan, but I’m really happy that you had that beautiful fur baby taking care of you during part of your hike. Anyway, if you change your mind in the future, let me know. We have a lot of adoptable friends here in my country.
Those images with your dron, simple gorgeous (I know I repeat myself, but I apparently run out of vocabulary when I need to describe Iceland). Thank you for sharing your hikes and thoughts with us.
If it would come to that (my housing situation would need to change) then I'd definitely opt for adopting one. Thanks for watching and coming along for the hike!
Will you have a dog by your next video? 😊
I don't think a dog fits in my current logistics. In the future... who knows :)
I see (Google) that Þórufoss was filmed in Game of Thrones. That was a nice pooch; maybe you need one?
Yes, and no, respectively ;)
