- 1989 yz 80 trail ride ripping through Southern Maine , rebuild the bike that winter as a project and took it for its first ride from Limington to Hollis . Made it all the way with no issues , as I’m riding I’m adjusting the carb to adjust air/fuel ratios to get it to run smoother but wasn’t having much luck at times .

Great video. So much fun to watch. Cant wait to ride my bike. Its a cr125
I love this vid you should post more of these I also have a 1989 yamahayz80 that I just rebuilt I’m planning on doing a full restoration once I get the money
I bought this bike as a project bike , and built it over the winter of 2019 . sourcing the parts wasn't the easiest and I went on Yamahas website to get OEM part numbers to match up to find what I needed on Ebay. all the bike original had was the frame ,seat, gas tank , and front forks , which was actually from an 86' yz 80 that I later figured out because it doesn't have front disc brakes . the front forks from the 89 had caliper mounting holes and the ones that came on this bike didn't have the holes to mount a caliper on. The swing arms were different as well from each year so finding wheels and bearings for the bike was a task at hand . So all in all the front end of the bike is a 86 and the rear end is an 89 .I realized when I was building this bike there wasn't any content on here for these years and im an old school kinda guy so I figured id make a riding video of the bike for people to watch . if you guys want to see more about the bike lmk on here and I can make more videos of it !
MIKE BEAN IS THE MAN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME HOW YOU RIDE THE YZ80
I have a 1990 YAMAHA YZ80A n I jus love your bike n your videos. Can you please make some more with the YZ80? Please 🙏

pog
I sure give it to all the riders that made them trails it's just like never never ending trails connecting to more trails connecting to more trails LOL
Dude as I'm watching this I know that u have to be getting tired it's like trails and trails that just never seems to end LOL
Daniel Allison im reaching down to adjust the carb to give it more fuel , its finicky with the older 2 strokes to get them to run good and it was running lean on the top end at times.
I love you for this...no homo lmao but I'm rebuilding my 93 yz80 shit was a beast in its glory days Haha and there's like not one vid on the older bikes except for a rebuild here n there...good shit tho bro
Hey, i need the boot between the airbox to carb.. got any buddys with parts? 93 - 01 yz80
@@russellhuston6481 I ended up finding one for my bike on eBay, went onto the Yamaha website and looked up the OEM part # for it , then typed the part # in on eBay
@@film207tv3 ya ive done that every month for the last 6 months, nothing comes up on ebay. Just one of these impossible, stupid over looked parts i cannot find. Too bad, the whole bike is restored and my daughter cant ride it.
@@russellhuston6481 that’s a bummer , may have to get creative and make your own some how maybe ? I had to do that with the chain guide that’s on the swing arm because they don’t make them anymore and you can’t find any used ones worth using
Love the content what years your bike I have a 1990 yz80
Everyone who watches this video go str8 2 12:11 of the video. Omg he str8 rips the shit out of the trail my God
What do you keep reaching down and tightening or something you keep taking your glove off and reaching down
Looks like he's adjusting the fuel/air mix
Would this be a good example of a lean condition with the sputtering?
So the bike as it turned out was actually getting to much fuel . The pet cock on the tank wasn’t the right one so it was feeding the carb more fuel than it should have been
God this guy really doesn't reply back 2 no1?huh????....
Sorry I’m not on here much , I work full time plus do side jobs after work so I’m very busy Dan .
Ty 4 getting back to me lol been trying for a long time
