Who wouldn't like ?
It turned out beautiful.
Tell your sister it's not the size of the Serving board, it's what she puts on it that makes the difference.
In America???
Hahaha.
If she is Italian she will, know what to serve and how
Your sister ought to be a happy camper it looks good 🇮🇱🎅🤶🎄
I love that you take a piece of wood that most people would pass over and make something beautiful! Good to see you in Fine Woodworking!
One thing I want to comment on, it is so good to see a woodworker like yourself that keeps his hand tools sharp, like the draw knife used to remove the bark. I've watched other woodworkers and it's painful to watch them struggle with a dull cutting tool. I enjoy your videos very much. Keep up the good work.
I don't see much logic in trying to use a tool that's not sharp. Wouldn't be as pleasant to use. Thanks!
I hope she loved it and appreciated your hard work.
Lol, your sister sounds like a kindred spirit! She thinks like me. Bigger is almost always better….. until it’s not. My friends have learned to expect to take home leftovers after a dinner or party because I seem to lack the the ability to judge the amounts of food etc I need to feed a given party of people. No one ever left my table hungry.
Very nice and will make a great gift. I'm sure your sister will cherish this for many years to come.
thank you!
Usually not a big fan of epoxy pieces that I've seen. What you've done with that board is beautiful. Blends very nicely with the existing wood grain. Your sister should be very pleased.
Thanks Jim!
I can't believe you did this for your sister. You are the kindest brother on the planet. I can't imagine any of my five brothers doing anything so nice as that for me.
That’s kind of sad. Why is that? Is it how you were raised? As a dad with little kids including a daughter, how can I make sure this doesn’t happen in our future?
@@beck204 Just keep them close together, especially during the teen years. Make certain they do nice things for one another. Make certain that older brothers understand their roles as protectors of younger siblings.
What a great way to preserve and utilize smaller pieces with really special grain patterns. I can imagine the number of such scraps and cutoffs that would otherwise get tossed out.
Matt, I really enjoy your videos! i started building furniture as a hobby in 1983. I make a lot of stuff over the years. My pride and Joy are two things, a cherry roll top secretary desk for my wife, and three quartersawn white oak tool chests. Also I no longer have a shop any longer, I can relate to what you are doing.
Love it when you turn on the camera for discussing what the plan is instead of just showing the work alone.
I don't know if envy is the right word but I envy you being able to work wood as you do, I so wish I was able to have or use a shop similar to yours, I like to create things out of wood, I always have liked woodworking. Great work by the way, I love the shows you make it brings me that much closer to what I would love to do.
That's spectacular. Keep coming with the variety ( sawmill, trailer shop projects).
Very nice! I loved the sound your mic picked up of the draw knife in action.
That thing turned out really nice! Awesome job!
Great piece of work, Matt. Can see why you enjoyed it. All best wishes for the season and 2020!!

Small projects like that are great. Fairly straightforward and satisfying to do with out a long commitment to the project.

You Are The Man Matthew
Hi Matt, I really enjoy your channel, it's easy to watch, informative & entertaining. Happy Year End & all the best in 2020 to you & yours. Watching in Willamina, Oregon, aka Timber Town USA, C.
Thank you so much!
Just ordered my first ever batch of West epoxy. Thanks for all the tips over the years I am still a little nervous to work with it but you for sure helped Matt!!!
awesome!!
You'll get the feel for it after a while. Just keep the mix ratios right which is easy if you have the pumps. I've been through many gallons of West System through the years from boat building to resin augmented turnings - just don't let any thicker pours get hot while they cure. I wish you well.
@@boooshes thanks brother!
Looks fantastic!
Thanks Bruce!
Nice work!
