This makes so much sense. The portal they jump through at the end to escape, of course sends them 3 days into the future. I need to do some digging into your theory, cause I think you could be onto something big!
huge potential for dlc story in this game and i cant wait to see how it is further expanded upon. definitely the best halo story and setup we have had in many years
I absolutely LOVE the way they handled the retconning of cortana's story etc. Sure, it's not the "best halo story" we've had to date, but the potential halo infinite is showing makes me really excited for the future. Halo 4 walked a VERY fine line, with the campaign story being great, but the way it was told absolutely sucked. Add on that the shameless introduction of loadouts to try and convert cod fans and it JUST got the ok seal from the community. Halo 5 was an absolute trainwreck. It had nothing to do with halo's gameplay (standard thrusters, hovering, groundpounds, ads with big zoom on EVERY weapon etcetc) But Halo infinite The mystery they created around atriox, the cliffhanger ending setting up the next update/dlc; Offensive bias, are you KIDDING ME? The lorenerd in me is absolutely geekgasming. Now, 343 better not screw up the "easy" part in the coming days, or a lot of newer players will leave this amazing franchise.
I’m hoping for DLC to either include new areas in the existing map, or perhaps whole new campaign maps for DLC. That would take a monumental amount of effort for the developers, though considering the comment of Infinite being “the next ten years of halo”, I have extremely high hopes. Zeta halo’s history in the lore is astronomical, and I doubt they won’t capitalize on the storytelling potential at their fingertips, and truly craft a game worth remembering, even though it already is

If you all want a real headache the harbinger says the following in one of the missions to a human “we are returning” so that would point to she is one of the endless” also in one of the audio logs she states to a human listener “quite for I shall talk and you shall listen”. This phrase was uttered once before, by the Gravemind.
@@housefalcarac lol @ papa frank. Yeah man between the harbinger, the new unknown species (xalanyn), and the endless, idk which is which and if they're all the same or different. Idk. Wondering where the harbinger even came from and why she wants to help the endless. Are they precursor? Something different? Why do they hate forerunners and what does atriox want with them? So many questions
Not my comment but someone pointed out how the scene starts with a first-person perspective of Atriox similar to how we see through the eyes of the chief. I wonder if 343 is cleverly foreshadowing the fact that perhaps we might play as Atriox in the next DLC
Here’s an idea for DLC… and a short story. Play as a forerunner in the last days of the battle. Witness the hopelessness and offensive bias’ success against all odds.
I am so excited to see Offensive Bias. I know chief has a history of hating Forerunner Monitors and Ancilas, but I hope Offensive and Chief become allies and friends. Also if Offensive chooses to side with and help humanity, I'd LOVE to see if he has a Forerunner drone fleet of dreadnoughts tucked away in the galaxy somewhere, and use that to rebuild humanity's fleet with the loss of infinity
Even though that would be cool That would be extremely broken no other species would come close to being able to touch humanity if they got their hands on Forerunner ships
@@silentrudy9779 doesn’t it seem weird that everytime someone denies humanity of the mantle something bad happens to them or the Galaxy? What a “coincidence”
@@fluent4530 perhaps the endless have been pulling the strings longer than we know, or the still active forerunner AI’s are doing everything in their power to slow humanity’s evolution. The Banished have beef with humanity for reasons that run deeper than just a land grab and Cortana.
@@silentrudy9779 why would the forerunner AIs do that? Mendicant Bias And Offensive Bias have been helping us a lot And 343 Guilty Spark called us Reclaimers it would be counter intuitive for them to be helping us but at the same time stopping us from reclaiming the mantle
my God, Mendicant Bias & Offensive bias are somewhat rhyming with Cortana and The Weapon, it's like a cycle...its history repeating itself gcuywvgwgcgbwsebbwjkbwegggsc, and btw the moment I heard "Offensive Bias" I went batshit crazy, full monke.
Despondent Pyre mentions a loop and this idea of repeating the mistakes of the past in one of her audio logs in the game. So, I think it’s interesting for you to make that connection
Hidden Xperia caught onto that a few years ago when they revealed The Weapon. Given that the game was set on Zeta Halo, and the war between Offensive and Mendicant bias, and how Mendicant did what he could to right his wrong during the events of Halo 2 and 3, which mirrors what Cortana did in Halo infinites campaign. She did what she could to right her wrong
Curious about what the Legendary ending within #HaloInfinite means and why people are so hyped? Well, in this video I've completely broken it down and explained everything! #HaloInfinitecampaign #HaloInfinite
Enjoyed the commentary on this, after I saw the legendary ending I've been scouring and searching for any info/theories about the endless and their connection to forerunners (and precursors?). Seeing Offensive Bias be teased was such a hype moment and renewed my drive for theory crafting. I'm wondering if the Endless happen to be a species created by the Precursors, or perhaps they're new? Or maybe they're the precursors next step into the Galaxy, descendants, or maybe an altered version of themselves? also dope primordial and mendicant bias art
@@_Wizzo Its worth mentioning that recently Microsoft just trademarked the phrase "Halo: The Endless" this all but confirms that we are getting a continuation to the Endless's story sooner rather than later.
It's exciting to think about. I'm just VERY disappointed that none of the original lore was addressed in this game! This ring has such a rich history. I cannot believe none of it was used.
the endless were imprisoned as to prevent the flood from controlling the construct of time, the gravemind mentions this in his words during halo 2 "through rock.. and metal.. and time.." if the flood could take control of the construct of time, they can fulfill the will of the precursors.
The flood can already fuck with reality though since they're still precursors in the end. They can bend physics with a large enough infection as far as I know. They also still have the precursor ability to communicate naturally over extreme distances. That's what I assume he meant by that quote.
If you guys want more information on the Halo Infinite Storyline, go checkout this video where it explained everything in detail! - czcams.com/video/zscwk2gzLIU/video.html
Stuff relating to the Endless Weapon: There's evidence of an entire civilization that once inhabited this Ring. But… not Forerunner. Older. Different. Weapon: It's tragic. A civilization that had it all under control. Until they didn't. Despondent Pyr: These runes predate me. Older than even the Forerunners, Despondent Pyr: My makers… the Forerunner's greatest fear was understood to be the Great Parasite. The Flood. A scourge that almost wiped out everything. I now believe this hypothesis to be incorrect. Their greatest fear is… was… losing their power. The fear of a master who would become a slave. Despondent Pyr: Time moves forward, and back again. I now see Rings inside of Rings. Great circles everlasting. Without beginning or end. “Endless.” As I say their name I feel… foolish. Uninformed. Misled. Am I afraid. Despondent Pyr: One thing is certain. This installation was built differently than the others. A myriad of Reformation Spires can be deployed… indeed have been deployed when requested. To complete the circle. To ensure its inhabitants are preserved. Or perhaps I should say, "detained." Harbinger: To cover their sins. We stood. Silent. Unable to speak as they passed judgment. We could not defend ourselves. We could not reason with them. Hear this, Forerunners! Your Auditorium has fallen. The Endless found. Your sins undone. Today we return! Grand Edict: The Endless must be contained. I will inform the Criterion to proceed. Grand Edict: It matters not. Today we do what it takes to maintain order. To preserve our truth. Time will forget they ever existed. Grand Edict: If Halo cannot end them. It must imprison them. Grand Edict: When it is done, the engineers will be busy. We will learn their secrets.
What about ancient humans? may some of them still around? What about their technology (or ships, colonies, or relics like forerunner ones)? I feel there is an unfinished arc there and we get almost no information in that regard.
in the books the forerunners destroyed every trace of ancient humanity, they probably missed a few like a small ship that the UNSC did find and they found some armor which was what the mjolnir hellcat variant was partiall engineered after, also in halo 4 i think lasky did mention knowing the prometheans were ancient humans but i dont think the UNSC knows much more due to a lack of tangible history that was destroyed
My thoughts on the eternal. Two ideas. One: they are the precursors. When the halos were fired, it reset the DNA of what was still pure in them. The other is that they were before the precursors. Perhaps even apart of the mantle itself.
i'm pretty sure the ark we visit in halo 3 is the lesser ark. the greater ark was used to create the original 7 rings and they were all destroyed except for instillation 07 which was reduced in size. the original rings were 30k kilometers while the new array is only 10k Kilometers per ring
1. Time is a construct that the endless can control hence "we cannot allow it to be theirs" and "we will learn their secrets". 2. Harbinger is manipulating time during the fights but from our pov we see it as teleporting around and evading our attacks. Halo arrays can't kill them as they are able to completely "time jump" it. 3. If the flood consume them they will also have the ability to control time, making them truly unstoppable.
I wonder if that is the endless or what’s going on. The harbinger says it’s too late so it seems like succeeded in releasing them but if she succeeded in doing it then what is atriox doing unless she was working with atriox behind the scenes the whole time I mean atriox and his meeting with Cortana was 6 months ago what was he doing the whole time if even the banished thought he’s been dead for months
I have a theory on that. Atriox survived the explosion of the section of the Ring, and the Harbinger gave Atriox the key to release the Endless, that is why she said "you have what you need."(the key.). The sentence, "tell them, I'm sorry it took so long" eludes to the fact that she was tasked to release the Endless but failed, instead passing the role off to Atriox due to some sort of advantage he had in doing so.
@UCM5iJiO-aIxD5Hy66e4Xucg there’s a cutscene in one of the trailers that wasn’t in the game people were assuming it’s mendicant bias and when she said she was sorry the weapon said something along the lines of “it’s a old frequency like very old “ I was thinking maybe it was mendicant and since offensive I think was helping the weapon at the end I wonder if we get atriox/mendicant vs chief/offensive
I don’t think the endless are the primordials because the forerunners knew about the primordials before the firing of the ring. They talk about the endless like they are new with no information about them. I think the endless are ancient and are extremely intelligent like the primordials but are fundamentally different. They are capable of warping time which if you think about it would make them impossible to kill. there’s a part at the end of the game where chief teleports but at the expense of traveling 3 days into the future, the game has no explanation for this it just happened. It makes sense as well in the context of the rings firing, let’s say the rings are fired and you knew about it ahead of time, if you can teleport a few days into the future it would be easy to skip the moment the ring hit your world. (I also don’t think the harbinger is part of the endless just someone working for the endless, primarily she said stuff like how the endless would be freed but if she was part of the endless then the endless would have already been free as skimmers and her were already free. Also she wasn’t in the same containment area as the endless) also if you can warp time what stops you from keeping yourself from getting older, they would be essentially immortal and then add the fact the can essentially skip moments that would lead to their death and that would mean it would be impossible to cause their “end” making them “endless”
I feel like honestly, the forerunners just wiped their database of the primordials so the monitors wouldn't know possibly, or they're a new species. Hope their primordials
Precursors can control time and are basically gods. They cannot be killed, even by the halos unless you destroy their very atoms of existence which is so fucking hardcore, but also in the legendary ending the dude says “If Halo cannot end them, it shall imprison them.” Assuming he’s talking about the primordial or the precursors which cannot be destroyed, the endless are what the forerunners call the precursors, and the harbinger being the messenger that awakes the precursors after the war with the forerunners (she calls herself a messenger in the boss fight), so that is why the harbringer hates the forerunners (and sorta humanity). Also also because most of the surviving precursors got corrupted and turned into flood she probably just contact ancient flood to zeta halo lol
well the precursors cant even be destroyed dude they immortal and the harbinger is just a a messenger meant to wake up the precursors when the day comes
I think you overlooked the part about Time being theirs, given that Halo has the concept of living time, perhaps they may related to the Precursors, perhaps that's why offensive bias would be deployed, since that's his experience.
I think it would be neat to see the flood “working” with the endless like they did us in halo 3. Only for the twist to reveal that the whole reason gravemind was helping the endless was to use them as pawns to their overall plans. If the flood can’t manipulate halo, these endless can and the gravemind would know that. Plus if the endless were truly “worse than the flood” why would they be turning to the forerunners for help? If they are worse then the flood what do they need help from? The flood were the only threat in that time
@@Soccercrazyigboman there’s so much more to the flood than just being zombies. And probably more we don’t know about the flood than we already do. The flood are an incredibly interesting faction

Well I know harbinger does mention to one of the human prisoners that humanity used to be the forerunners' rival but seems to have a hatred for humans purely to spite the forerunners
Agreed. Very disappointing. The entire campaign you learn nothing new about the Endless from the moment they’re mentioned to the last scene. There’s building hype for future projects and then there’s dragging things out unnecessarily.

@@Soccercrazyigboman sorry, New fans don't give a shit, they are thrilled and can't wait for dlc, which is what was cut from the story, hope it's sold for extra money, like destiny did, cut content to resell it.
If The Endless survived the Halo Array without skipping through time, then their central nervous system must be different enough to survive it (like the Chief surviving the composer). Surely that means its different enough that the flood wouldn't be able to infect them? They struggled to infect Johnson thanks to his Orion augmentations damaging his nervous system
So apparently 2/3 of the campaign was removed to make Halo Infinite so definitely seems like DLC would be on the way with the scrapped content and also how vague the story is in some regards
They cyberpunked halo fans, anther game released unfinished, missing content, and yet players are satisfied, the future for gaming is looking bad since this is acceptable. What I find interesting is that quote saying the only thing that could officially kill the hive mind is if time and space rolled up and destroyed life itself….or something like that. It makes me think if the endless can bend time, travel back and forth in time, they could potentially break everything.
This is how Primordial was killed... not by traveling back in time, that has never been done in Halo lore, as far as im aware but by "traveling" forward. The Ur-Didact killed Primordial with a reverse-timelock which essentially speeds up time (instead of slowing) so much that millions of years pass during which the primordial decayed and died. This forward time travel is hinted with the 3 day skip which would explain how the harbinger teleported around aswell, it sped up time for itself. I think people are being too timetravely about this... its not always magical, manipulating time doesnt mean you can teleport physically or change year... it can mean just being able to live incredibly long (so technologically advanced that you can live forever?). And as you said gravemind can only be officially killed by time... so should we not think that the endless are the flood? and the flood are confirmed to be precursors. Sooo... the endless are precursors, who are the flood in this day and age. As the year dictates this Grand Edict speech took place during the flood-war so hes obviously talking about the flood since they cannot be killed by the halo rings, the rings only kill the food and starve it to death... which requires time. Flood are endless in number and age, so its not farfetched that some forerunners would call them "the Endless". We found some on the first frekking halo! still alive and kicking!
@@Otakahunt yeah I personally believe going back in time is impossible, but slowing down/speeding up time is possible. So I hope they don’t have the endless travel back in time just because I hate that trope and would make the story too complicated. I’m not sure the endless are the same as the flood. In fact I’m not sure the harbinger is the same as the endless despite the fact that she claims to be. Her and the skimmers pods were not locked up with the rest of the endless. And you can find the harbingers pod in one of the outposts so she wasn’t just alive hiding somewhere this whole time…..I don’t think. But I do think it’s possible the endless are connected to the precursors in some way. But I feel like they might be separate from the precursors for the simple fact that the AI says “they think we are here to help”.
Okay, So I'm wondering if the Endless are perhaps an actual machine intellegence/species. If so, they wouldn't be affected by either the flood or the rings as both affect only biological beings. I'm only thinking this due to the strange "tablets" (shown at 10:45. Which are similar to the "tablets" that were seen when the catalogued species were reintroduced to the galaxy after the rings where fired). The specific "tablets" shown are far more machine like than any of the previously seen "tablets"!
I really think the endless are some sort of AI deal. I mean, first of all the card portrait looks like a monitor. Secondly, AI are not biological and would therefore survive a halo firing,. Thirdly, the forerunners see AI as tools, they strip mendicant of creativity to create a version which will serve them, so AI standing on its own would likely terrify them. It just seem to fit the best given what info we have so far.
Yeah, I believe that 343i still want to a big enemy AI faction storyline, but just pivoted away from Cortana leading it due to poor reception of Halo 5's story.
I think this is a possibility, especially if they're still going for a "history repeats itself" sort of deal. Maybe the AI in the past tried doing the same thing as Cortana but they had the logic plague, thus making them "a greater danger than the flood" since they can't be killed by rings. Mendicant Bias could have had something to do with it especially since he's the parallel to Cortana, even to the point where in the end they both made amends with what they've done and helped Chief as their last action.
I think people are forgetting that the Flood also survives the Halo firing... they only lose all their food. And we know that the Flood are Precursors who turned to dust, which was corrupted overtime. The Precursors were already endless... living longer than we can comprehend. There is Primordial who claimed to be a precursor but was also confirmed to be a gravemind... primordial existed before the flood was active, discovered by ancient humans and taken to charum hakkor where humans titled it an Oracle and asked it questions... when the Flood came they asked the Primordial about it and the Primordial's answers were so horrifying some of the humans committed suicide. Primordial was captured and eventually killed by Forerunners with the use of a reverse-timelock that speeds up time so much that the creature within aged and decayed to death. But not before it was able to infect Mendicant Bias with the logic plague, turning it against its creators... the Forerunners. This death happened on Zeta Halo, which is the halo we are on in this game... he also did experiments on human and forerunner occupants on the halo before the mendicant bias situation was discovered, and those experiments were "shaping sickness" also known as The Flood. Everything points to the Endless being the Flood. If the games have taught us anything the flood are endless in numbers... but also endless in how long they can live, considering we found some on the first halo in the first game after so many centuries had passed since the firing.
@@Otakahunt They definitely aren't the Flood, at least as we know them. Cortana already stated that the Endless are worse than the Flood, so they are clearly different. Although, that doesn't mean that the Endless don't have any relation to the Flood and/or the Precursors.
The Endless are the Precursors. They were before, during and after. After Forerunners "wiped them out", they swore revenge as they dispersed themselves throughout the galaxy. Lots of years pass and they turn into the flood. Firing Halo doesn't kill Flood, it kills their food (all other life), thus rendering them dormant (not dead). Life goes on, and revives, so does the Flood. The Flood, being a corrupted and wretched state of being of Precursor, would surely be a lesser "species" of them and thus less dangerous. Which is why it's stated "far worse than flood on ring". Too easy.
The story should eventually end with the morales being: your luck eventually runs out (master chief being sent out with a bang). Everyone must band together to face an unstoppable foe (the flood). And by the very end it is revealed that the test wasn’t just meant for humanity, it was for everyone set in motion by the precursors who realized to late that “The Mantle of Responsibility” is not meant to be held up by one race alone but in fact all races should be responsible for the mantle. A lesson the forerunners and even the precursors themselves failed to learn.
Maybe if the flood were to start using the endless as biomass they would gain the ability to not be destroyed by the Halo array. It seems to me that would make them particularly dangerous. Pretty sure that can be killed easily I mean Master Chief kills one at the end of the game. Unless the harbinger is some other weird alien race that we don't know.
I definitely see more content coming in the future for halo infinite, if the rumor is true with their being content for the next 10 years then im sure their are going to be multiple differen campaigns out there
"Halo doesn't kill Flood, it kills their food. Humans, Covenant, whatever! We are all equally edible. The only way to stop the Flood is to starve them to death." - Cortana from Halo CE I'm guessing what they have sealed in the Cylixes are Graveminds that were left over from the war. If I remember correctly, The Gravemind was called Timeless One. I wonder if The Endless and Timeless One are the same. The Didact did use a Precursor tech called Reverse Timelock on the Timeless One before the firing of the rings. It was used to speed up time on the Primordial by millions of years which eventually lead to its destruction. We know that the Halo array can damage Precursor tech, which would leave the Forerunners with nothing to decay them with. Unlike Precursors, Forerunners have less control over time manipulation. This would leave them with the option of sealing the Graveminds in Cylixes.
You didn't know there'd be DLC for the campaign? 343 Industries said, years ago, that Halo Infinite would be the last Halo game for 20 years. It was obvious they'd be expanding on the initial campaign.
Entities who are composed will survive the firing of Halo rings. In the book Primordium, if I recall correctly, flood-infected humans and forerunners from the Palace of Pain are composed or attempted to be composed around the time Chakas is piloting the ring. Could they be the Endless?
In that case, that would mean The Endless ARE the flood. The Flood - or the Shaping Sickness - doesn't just infect the physical body, but also the mind/conciousness/soul of whatever it infects, and the Forerunners tried to cure the parasite by composing its victims' souls/minds/personalities and then reanimating them in fresh-untainted bodies, but each time, for some unknown reason, the infection carried over to the new body, which means their very minds/souls were infected forever. That's what's really fucking terrifying with the Flood. It's a literal eternity of concious, waking hell and torture, and even death can't stop it. Once infected, your fate is forever sealed.
@John Forge thanks, I listened to all the ones I found, I was wondering if any of the ones I missed made it clear. I’m hoping we learn more in story dlc down the line
The new story is setting up for offensive bias to side with the endless and follow in mendicant bias's path. The conclusion of the new story will probably be mc, new cortana, maybe even atriox and possible some old characters who might be brought back from time travelling against the endless, the banished and offensive bias.
I don’t think offensive is going to team with the endless, they can’t pull the logic plague trope again. Also Weapon and Cortana is a parallel to offensive and mendicant bias so one has to be good while the other ‘bad’
am i the only one that thinks its stupid to put a lock on something so dangerous and just not destroy the key or locking mech so it cant be opened? and safe to say the Endless are mechanical and not flesh sounds like the forerunners ambushed the endless just because they survived the Halo Array firing, it seems like the endless either figured out how to transfer their consciousness to machines so they could survive such super weapons. And doing such was a big enough of a red flag for the forerunners to imprison them. Especially since the cylixs of the endless kinda of look like a sentinel. but the question is will they suddenly be aggressive for the imprisonment? cause as i stated earlier i havent heard about them being an aggressive species
Heard it brought up that the endless are some variation of the precursors, probably ones that didnt transform into the flood. Maybe they are the precursors? A small detail backing this up is a phrase the harbinger & delta gravemind share; "i shall talk and you shall listen."
If the Endless can’t die and are worse than the flood. Hoo boy. I’m excited. And now we have official mentioned Offensive Bias in main line story. Of course mendicant bias was around in 2 and 3 but still.
Anyone else hopes this happens in the dlc?: Shipmaster, Lord Hood, and cavalry warp in next to Zeta Halo. “Brute ships, staggered line. Shipmaster, the Banished outnumber us 3 to 1!” “Then it is an even fight”
ngl i wonder if abaddon is gonna be revealed with infinites dlcs but at the end when the weapon was fighting the harbinger the fact that they mentioned mendicant bias helping them was insane because he was on the ark last
I pray and hope even if we do get future dlc for the campaign it de awesome if DLC took place on different part of the ring so you can actually explore the whole ring
Halo Infinite had a pretty good story, but since Halo 5 really screwed everything up lore wise Infinite could only really serve as a course correct for the series. Reach still has the best story IMO but Infinite is a step in the right direction for the next couple of Halo games.
i really hope halo infinte will have several chapters of campaign .. seems like there is more room to rebuild the unsc on zeta halo ... find lasky/palmer/blue team maybe halsey (not sure if she was on infinte at zeta halo). discover the fate of Infinity and attriox. so much more room for story expansion without having to rebuild a whole game, plus it would be nice to expand the open world some more. I loved it had alot of halo CE themes which felt great. I want more and there is definitely room for more.
Hmm offensive bias was deployed where and by whom for what purpose? He was meant to be deactivated by the protocol that was inspired by mendicant bias's betrayal and does he have a labyrinth like mendicant had where ever he is?
It's stated that the Forerunners exterminated the precursors including the mutated premordial, so could it be possible that the Endless are different species? But in the other hand the game gives proofs that they are at least the same origin, like when the Harbinger interrogate the UNSC marines she said the same thing as the Gravemind then made his mind instable.
It would be great if we got to see some of the interrogation scenes between Mendicant Bias and the Primordial in hologram form, maybe as a hidden aria I'm the game, as an Easter egg.
You'll get the ending on all difficulties but the conversation with the great edict is a legendary exclusive. So you will get to see atriox release the endless but there is no conversation at all...its all quiet, not even music
Could the endless be the precursors? Maybe they are returning hence why the forerunners are so concerned because of what happened between them beforehand.
It's a good set up for some thing else but waiting for a game to realise for 6 years only to have the whole game set up the next game for a species we know little about I find a tad disappointing
i think there might be a dlc call back to halo ce with a final mission to blow up the ring with the infinity or something thats how i thought the original story was going to end
If the flood were to infect and find these endless then that could be a problem as the flood could learn the secrets of time travel as well as surviving halo arrays firing.
they can already survive halos... why else could we find them in the first game? Cortana quote from the first game: "Halo doesn't kill Flood, it kills their food"
i hope you realize that "despondent pyre" and "Adjutant Resolution" are separate characters and that "Despondent Pyre" is in fact dead. Im only saying this cause you keep referring to them as one character when they are in fact two different character. Which is why "Adjutant Resolution" doesn't fully know what secrets the ring holds as "he" was never fully in charge of the ring until now.
The Harbringer was talking to Atriox that was sent in the past to turn the key maybe? It’s a good confusing ending an I like it. Gives me the good ol Xbox 720 with the halo 4 vibes back in the day!!
why not forward in time like MC? back in time makes no sense... the endless are imprisoned in the present day, but the Halo is broken and being repaired... so send to the future for when its repaired? not sure if it matters anyway, its not like they are trying to fire it.
Adjutant resolution was a shoot first ask relevant questions later kind of monitor and a prick, cos he asks what are you doing which is a self evident question, he doesn't ask what happened to my predecessor that warrants the non-reformation of installation 07. Edit: spelling errors.

Halo 4 walked a VERY fine line, with the campaign story being great, but the way it was told absolutely sucked.
Add on that the shameless introduction of loadouts to try and convert cod fans and it JUST got the ok seal from the community.
Halo 5 was an absolute trainwreck.
It had nothing to do with halo's gameplay (standard thrusters, hovering, groundpounds, ads with big zoom on EVERY weapon etcetc)
But Halo infinite

Halo Endless is already coming 💪😎

Stuff relating to the Endless
Weapon: There's evidence of an entire civilization that once inhabited this Ring. But… not Forerunner. Older. Different.
Weapon: It's tragic. A civilization that had it all under control. Until they didn't.
Despondent Pyr: These runes predate me. Older than even the Forerunners,
Despondent Pyr: My makers… the Forerunner's greatest fear was understood to be the Great Parasite. The Flood. A scourge that almost wiped out everything. I now believe this hypothesis to be incorrect. Their greatest fear is… was…
losing their power.
Or perhaps I should say, "detained."
Harbinger: To cover their sins. We stood.
This is just convincing me that they're the precursors
After Chief goes through the portal hes gone 3 days or time traveled & hes standing in "Rings inside of rings".
What about ancient humans? may some of them still around? What about their technology (or ships, colonies, or relics like forerunner ones)? I feel there is an unfinished arc there and we get almost no information in that regard.
Surely there's some ancient human Easter eggs or something
in the books the forerunners destroyed every trace of ancient humanity, they probably missed a few like a small ship that the UNSC did find and they found some armor which was what the mjolnir hellcat variant was partiall engineered after, also in halo 4 i think lasky did mention knowing the prometheans were ancient humans but i dont think the UNSC knows much more due to a lack of tangible history that was destroyed
My thoughts on the eternal. Two ideas.
One: they are the precursors. When the halos were fired, it reset the DNA of what was still pure in them.
The other is that they were before the precursors. Perhaps even apart of the mantle itself.
Biggest mistake of the Forerunners: having Mendicant Bias in charge of all Forerunner defenses against the Flood.
Mendicant was supposed to be incorruptible...
The Logic Plague just break all countermeasures...
Great vid and explanations! Bit of feedback work on getting those names down: Offensive Bias, Despondent Pyre, Adjutant Resolution. Keep it up!
i'm pretty sure the ark we visit in halo 3 is the lesser ark. the greater ark was used to create the original 7 rings and they were all destroyed except for instillation 07 which was reduced in size. the original rings were 30k kilometers while the new array is only 10k Kilometers per ring
Probably disappeared into a teleporter the Mc did
I have a theory on that.
I think he is releasing the flood lol idk
To fight the endless
Holy smokes!
This theory is awesome! Kudos to you!
@@7yearold436 Harbinger literally means messenger. I think you’re right👁👅👁
I think you overlooked the part about Time being theirs, given that Halo has the concept of living time, perhaps they may related to the Precursors, perhaps that's why offensive bias would be deployed, since that's his experience.
Good spot, definitely not a coincidence that they use the flood colour scheme
If The Endless survived the Halo Array without skipping through time, then their central nervous system must be different enough to survive it (like the Chief surviving the composer). What I find interesting is that quote saying the only thing that could officially kill the hive mind is if time and space rolled up and destroyed life itself….or something like that. It makes me think if the endless can bend time, travel back and forth in time, they could potentially break everything.
I mean, Chief and The Weapon literally get teleported ahead 3 days into the future.
You’ve literally blown my mind haha great theory, never thought of that
This is how Primordial was killed... not by traveling back in time, that has never been done in Halo lore, as far as im aware but by "traveling" forward.
@@Otakahunt what a comment… I’m going to use your suggestion in a video and credit you :)
I’m hoping for an all out war, chief/arbiter vs Endless/Banished vs Promethean’s vs Flood
This^^^ and then we need an invasion mode similar to war zone of halo 5, similar but quite a bit larger scale and wild asf
Now we’re talking
Okay, So I'm wondering if the Endless are perhaps an actual machine intellegence/species. If so, they wouldn't be affected by either the flood or the rings as both affect only biological beings.
I'm only thinking this due to the strange "tablets" (shown at 10:45. Which are similar to the "tablets" that were seen when the catalogued species were reintroduced to the galaxy after the rings where fired).
The specific "tablets" shown are far more machine like than any of the previously seen "tablets"!
the issue is what about the final boss and the winged creatures not being robots?

The endless are a threat purely because of the flood imagine a flood infected endless. Universe gone
Why didn’t you think Campaign DLC would be coming they said this game has a 10 year plan ofc it will have future dlc
I knew it would be coming, just not sure when!
The imprisoned endless kind of look like the cortana chip that master chief puts in the back of his helmet.
In that room that atriox opened with all the “endless”, it looks like there’s flood spores in the air, no?
👀imagine the flood are back for a DLC…
What if the reason for locking up the endless is to stop them from being infected by the flood after the rings are fired.
Too easy.
The endless better be even more terrifying then the flood
Tall order
The story should eventually end with the morales being: your luck eventually runs out (master chief being sent out with a bang). Everyone must band together to face an unstoppable foe (the flood). And by the very end it is revealed that the test wasn’t just meant for humanity, it was for everyone set in motion by the precursors who realized to late that “The Mantle of Responsibility” is not meant to be held up by one race alone but in fact all races should be responsible for the mantle. A lesson the forerunners and even the precursors themselves failed to learn.
The story won't end because Microsoft likes making money. It will be milked until enough people stop sending money.
don't forget skimmers are also endless. they got the same hands and feet as the Harbinger.
I don’t think the harbinger or skimmers are the endless
Maybe if the flood were to start using the endless as biomass they would gain the ability to not be destroyed by the Halo array. It seems to me that would make them particularly dangerous. Pretty sure that can be killed easily I mean Master Chief kills one at the end of the game. Unless the harbinger is some other weird alien race that we don't know.
Nah the Endless themselves are just beadt they eat flood for dinner.
Imagine the endless are an evolved version of the flood that can’t be killed by halo or anything else
flood has never been killed by halo.... Cortana quote from the first game: "Halo doesn't kill Flood, it kills their food"
The only way to stop the Flood is to starve them to death." - Cortana from Halo CE
I'm guessing what they have sealed in the Cylixes are Graveminds that were left over from the war. This would leave them with the option of sealing the Graveminds in Cylixes.
loved the video it was great and really interesting but it irritates me when you call Despondent Pyre "Despondent Prye"😂
My bad…😂
Did we ever find out what happened to captain lasky and the other Spartans, like if any of them survived?

The new story is setting up for offensive bias to side with the endless and follow in mendicant bias's path. The conclusion of the new story will probably be mc, new cortana, maybe even atriox and possible some old characters who might be brought back from time travelling against the endless, the banished and offensive bias.
I don’t think offensive is going to team with the endless, they can’t pull the logic plague trope again. Also Weapon and Cortana is a parallel to offensive and mendicant bias so one has to be good while the other ‘bad’
am i the only one that thinks its stupid to put a lock on something so dangerous and just not destroy the key or locking mech so it cant be opened? and safe to say the Endless are mechanical and not flesh
sounds like the forerunners ambushed the endless just because they survived the Halo Array firing, it seems like the endless either figured out how to transfer their consciousness to machines so they could survive such super weapons.
What’s there to be excited about they took a good story and now since halo 4 have butchered the living fuck out of it.
@@TheCosmicGuy0111 i guess someone hasnt paid attention to terminals and other lore.
Anyone else hopes this happens in the dlc?: Shipmaster, Lord Hood, and cavalry warp in next to Zeta Halo. “Brute ships, staggered line. Shipmaster, the Banished outnumber us 3 to 1!” “Then it is an even fight”
If the rings can’t kill the endless, then perhaps 66 tons of HE spewing divine intervention can
From the style of Harbinger and other little tidbits, I think the Endless are precursers in origin, like the primordial.
13:39 defensive bias
Offensive he made a mistake
ngl i wonder if abaddon is gonna be revealed with infinites dlcs but at the end when the weapon was fighting the harbinger the fact that they mentioned mendicant bias helping them was insane because he was on the ark last
I pray and hope even if we do get future dlc for the campaign it de awesome if DLC took place on different part of the ring so you can actually explore the whole ring
I want DLCs for Mendicant Bias and the Flood, Atriox and defeating the banished for good, an Arbiter arc and ODST style missions
So would the Flood work with the endless? Or is the only way to kill the endless (only good reason to keep flood on standby on the same ring)
I am curious, if something is more dangerous than the flood in the halo universe we’ve got a big issue
If the halos were ineffective they may be non biological or have crazy technological resources
I believe the Giant Sandwich easter egg fits in to all of this somehow? I just dont know how🤔
😂
idk mang, bullets seemed to work on the Harbinger. if we upscale it to a planet pretty sure we can take them out in 1 go.
It would be great if we got to see some of the interrogation scenes between Mendicant Bias and the Primordial in hologram form, maybe as a hidden aria I'm the game, as an Easter egg.
Could someone explain why people think the cylixes are the endless and not flood spores?
Oh shit this was a legendary only ending?? Lol I didn't know at all. Its sick though def glad I played through it on legendary
You'll get the ending on all difficulties but the conversation with the great edict is a legendary exclusive.
So you will get to see atriox release the endless but there is no conversation at all...its all quiet, not even music
Some of this I just read word for word on halopedia
Actually according to the game she is an exact copy the only difference being if she hadn’t meet chief.
Yes! It’s really interesting
Could the endless be the precursors? Maybe they are returning hence why the forerunners are so concerned because of what happened between them beforehand.
It's a good set up for some thing else but waiting for a game to realise for 6 years only to have the whole game set up the next game for a species we know little about I find a tad disappointing
So... Atriox traveled back in time?
"for further study"...... gotta love how the Forerunners screwed the galaxy 3 times by not just getting rid of threats
i think there might be a dlc call back to halo ce with a final mission to blow up the ring
with the infinity or something thats how i thought the original story was going to end
My question now is, what does atriox have to do with this?!! Dun dun dun...
Good video.
Well, we know a test firing unleashed The primordial in stasis. What is the precursors had their creators frozen? And the halo rings can't kill them.
Trinston was here.
Bro this is tooooo epic man wow
I bearly beat this game on easy like fuck me the whole way through the game
Notice the smaller explosions, grenade nerf, not even the explosion skull helps, I hate this game.
i hope you realize that "despondent pyre" and "Adjutant Resolution" are separate characters and that "Despondent Pyre" is in fact dead. Im only saying this cause you keep referring to them as one character when they are in fact two different character. Which is why "Adjutant Resolution" doesn't fully know what secrets the ring holds as "he" was never fully in charge of the ring until now.
No I know they’re 2 different characters. Despondent is dead and adjustment is the new zeta halo monitor.
3:08 does anyone else see the sadcat meme?
OMG YES! LOL
Adjutant resolution was a shoot first ask relevant questions later kind of monitor and a prick, cos he asks what are you doing which is a self evident question, he doesn't ask what happened to my predecessor that warrants the non-reformation of installation 07.
Edit: spelling errors.
The endless are just space roaches who can survive an a bomb.
Its Despondent Pyre (Pie-Er) no Pry-Er
liked the video. But fix the audio, is so low i had my headphones on at 80 volume. the commercials sound louder than the video.
I’ve now changed this for my new ones :)
Is that Samuel Hayden’s voice?
