This channel is criminally underrated.
You are too kind Sir... Thank you for your support .
I bought this tool kit. DAMN NICE! BY FAR THE BEST TOOL KIT I HAVE EVER OWNED! Thanks so much for the review!
Damn it! Everytime I watch your videos I discover more tools I need to buy. Good work.
With your tool selection, MacGyver could rebuild the Titanic... 👏
Imagine what the A-Team could do! Lol.
Awesome tool kit, mate. I used your fork seal video to put 6 over tubes on my harley. Thanks for making great resources.
Del, thanks so much for taking the time and the effort to make your channel so interesting and handy for others. I'm sure 99% of the people here feel the same way mate. Steve.
Hi Steve, 99%?? Yeah Id say that's about the right ratio, like the saying goes, there's always one lol Thank you my friend, always great to hear from you...
I've learned so much from your videos, Del....I wanted to thank you and wish you a very happy bday
Thanks Martin, thats very kind mate. much appreciated.
Hi guys, I got my son a similar Wera metric kit for Christmas but in came in the form of an advent calendar !!!!.. Also he’s loving the Delboys garage tool kit deal we got him for Christmas which has come in handy as he has now secured a mechanic apprenticeship... keep up the great content on your channel...
Hey Billy, Thats great news, i think they did do an advent calendar this year, what a great present... and what wonderful news that he got a job in the trade.. he must be so excited and raring to get stuck in. Where is he working, and are they offering him a short term training job, or a permanent position?, please wish him all the very best of luck from us, and tell him we said hi... Take care both of you, keep warm, and keep in touch.. Del & Pennyx
Moonfleet41 Hi Del & Penny, he’s been offered a full apprenticeship and a permanent place when he finishes as long as he toes the line!!!... lol...
He’s a good lad and isn’t afraid of hard work. Thanks again for your prompt reply. Billy..
You just can’t beat being well equipped when riding. I carry most of what you’ve shown under my seat & with it being a gsx 1400 I even have room for a puncher repair kit a bulb kit & a mini jump starter “eBay £25”. It’s the size of the tool kit you were demonstrating & will start any petrol engine up to 4.0 & yes it works really well as I got to try it out on neighbours 2.0 seat Ibiza when he flattened the battery on it 3 weeks ago. Plus it’s nice to have plenty of kit if you need it to help out fellow bikers.👍
hey Del! i use some of the 'Wera' kit as a heating engineer and can say it is quality gear!! those little packs of different gear they do are amazing...lifetime warranty too i believe!
Spot on. The years I've struggled with these toolkits.. Those screwdrivers and pliers are hilarious. However, I do admit that my only axle nut spanner is located under the pillion seat... I need to enter one of your competitions :)
I love seeing someone so enthusiastic about new quality tools. Wera and Wiha are absolutely two of the best, and I have many Wera tools to work with. Just as other I may also recommend a third company to check out in the future should you need more tools, and that is Knipex, also made in Germany. Their pliers wrench was my all time perfect substitute for wrenches because the 250 mm long one opens to a size of 52 mm, covering far more than I need, and has a sort of built in ratcheting option to eliminate the problem with adjustable wrenches having to be opened up. Of course it's a bigger tool and might not fit into tiny spaces, but still covers a whole range in one tool. They also make the best combination pliers, even better than Wiha, all my pliers are either from Knipex or Engineer from Japan. If you want a good look before commiting, look up the Knipex minis set which has the pliers wrench and a "pump wrench" (don't know the proper name, it's called Cobra) in miny size and costs less than the actual tools. That was my first purchase from Knipex and I still keep it with me everyday alongside a Wera Tool-check plus set. Love your work!
I keep an emergency £10 in with the tools. The amount of times ive set out and forgot my cards. Love the vids Del. You deserve some televised air time!
Thank you Sir, that's very kind, I would so love to present this kinda thing abut hey, that's what You Tube's for... and I take one of those emergency tenners every time I go to the pub, but somehow when I get home I've always mislaid it lol
Great video. Wera stuff is superb, don't even hesitate.
Great vid... as always. Cheers guys.
Del, after watching this video I jumped on the internet and bought the Imperial Wera 8100 SB 9, 29 piece 3/8 drive kit.
It turned up today and I was blown away by the workmanship of the tools. Thanks for the video and recommendation and keep up the great videos.
Great to hear buddy! You'll love the quality and they'll never let you down.!
Another great video who doesn’t love tools of any shape or form, I just bought a Cruz tool kit dedicated to BMW it’s a lovely set. Not as nice as your new kit though, keep up the good work
I have Wera drivers and the ratcheting handles. They are amazing
Cool, thanks for this tip, was looking for it right now for my HD
Thanks buddy, if you click the link directly under the video they are in stock to buy now.
Great video as always Del and Penny! At the rate your going late spring will be the 3rd oil change not getting her out on the road at last! This has been a fantastic build, keep up the good work brother!
Thank you Brother.. i know it looks like its almost finished, but i still have the bodywork to finish, so its back to fabrication once the next few videos are squared away.. im junking the whole back end and starting again, it wont take months, but its got to be done.. you know how it is.. "i have a better idea":... lol
Love it. Greeting from the states
Mannnn!
That's some workshop 🤤🤤🤤
Breathtaking 😍🥰
P. Belated birthday wishes Del, looks like you got a great present from the lovely PP, it was my 61st last Tuesday. I will be getting most of what you showed, they will be great for the Fatboy. I put a genuine toolbox on the left hand side of mine, hopefully I can shoehorn them in, but a definite purchase. Cracking vlog to wake up to 😎👍
Hi Geoff, that's brilliant news, Happy Birthday too mate! I'm not too far behind you lol ...
You on't regret the tools, they're a great quality purchase and the socket set is really small and dinky, it fits in your hand and will definitely fit in your toolbox... looks like we have lots of fun to come in the weather forecasts this week, so keep warm and keep safe , D&Px
Great bit of kit cheers
My suggestion: throw out the spanners alltogether and just use one knipex pliers wrench instead if you want to save space and weight
Great choice. I have several WERA products which are certainly like most things from Germany just brilliant.
Thanks for the vid, great info
Tools are seriously my next big investment, I’ve outgrown my toolkit massively
Great video guys :) thanks
Hi Del/Penny good looking tool kit will have a look at the link good vid as always
That's a great little tool kit.
Great video buddy, I have the Wera electricians kit, expensive but a great piece of kit, regards Stu
Ha ha I've still got my factory toolkit. But then my ol girl is 20 this year. ...... Happy belated birthday Del 🖖
Yeah, ive got a few of those knocking about.. old bikes rock aye mate,
The famous bandit kit still got mine use for both bandit and my rf
Have a look at the Wera advent calendar, I got last years one and its awesome.
This is my first time on your channel, my regards to the amazing person in the video and happy birthday sir.
Thank You and welcome aboard, we're glad you enjoy the videos, thanks for the taking to drop us a line!
Just Found your chanel. Good work buddy! Love your video. Your wheels bearing vidéos saved me some trouble!
Keep Up your good work!
Cheer from canada
Thank you for your feedback sir, and welcome aboard, im glad the videos can help you out..
7-10" Knipex Plier Wrench is missing from your tool kit. Good video, thanks
Wera get that from ;) I like the look of the kit and those ratchet spanners and screwdriver look awesome. I think they are a great price too, you can spend a lot more on just one snap on spanner. I will save the links and maybe save for those after I finally save enough for my next bike.
Happy, happy Birthday, Del! Very helpful vid indeed. Loved the list that scrolled below! When I bought my 03 Fatboy last August, the only tool I found under the seat were nail clippers. They did NOT have the Harley logo and I’m pretty sure they were metric. 😉. Have a great Sunday, you two! 🏍
'Tea on the keyboard' again.. thanks for that.. Metric nail clippers are for left handed people aint they?.. and the 03 Fatboy has to be the coolest year ever aye.. love that silver and black two tome colour scheme!
Moonfleet41 spoken like a true southpaw!
Thank You for the video.
Great video 🇬🇧👍
Thanks for the tip emergency toolkit, it's better to be safe than sorry. Happy birthday buddy have a blessed and wonderful year. And Penny you have a blessed and wonderful year TO. Ride safe and God bless
Thank you so much Paul, you are very kind, and i dont feel a year older mate... maybe we'll get to met up for a beer or two in the future.. take care an keep safe.. D&Px
Moonfleet41 you never get older, you just get wiser and younger... at least that's how I feel... maybe a beer in the future sounds awesome.
Dam you! I am a Building Services Tech and work on Chillers/HVAC and the control systems. I have two full rolling chests of tools but thanks to you I just bought the Screwdriver set "mainly because it has the T27 for my Harley and being so close to Christmas I could only put the Wera tool kit in my wish list "maybe the wife will see it an have Santa bring it to me! :) Thanks and Merry Christmas!
haha that's made my evening, wonderful reasoning there brother, buy a whole set of tools for just the one that you need... you make me proud lol ! Merry Christmas brother... hope he brings you all you need !
Been trying to perfect the tiniest lightest toolkit for my 1980 Kawasaki Z250 and soon came to realise that open ended spanners are a must for anything in a tight spot - which seems to be most bits, tricky finding stub spanners with differing ends.
About the Wira tools, be careful not to leave them oily, cos oil melts the soft green butyl rubber insets on the handles over time.
Thanks buddy, I didn't know that about the rubber inserts, appreciate you sharing!
Got most of that kit under my seat.
Wera 3/8 Zyklop socket set, Wera 1/4 Zyklop socket set, Wera ratchet screwdriver and bits, Wera Joker spanners 5 piece set (8, 10,13, 17, and 19mm) Facom quatro spanners. Covers pretty much all bases Just need to add in my new Irwin pliers.
Lovely tools! I want them!
Can't think of a better way to start a Sunday.
Good tools are always with me. If it is only to help others, because I drive Guzzi. But in Switzerland, I am quite sure, that Harley driver do not carry any tools with them. They will call for assistance. Thank you for all the good videos.
Great vid. The Wera set looks really good. Only addition I’d recommend is a few cable ties and duct tape, saved me more than any tool 🤣
Thanks buddy.. thats why i put it in the ticker tape message along the bottom... plus a few other items you may need..
Happy belated birthday Del. Penny got you one cool birthday present mate. You have a great tool kit, now you will be hoping someone breaks down so you can play with it LOL. Penny and you have a great week. Cheers
Ha ha, well i have to admit buddy, with my puncture kit, ive used it four times, and none of those in my own bike..lol.! Thanks for your kind wished buddy, hope you had a good weekend.. D&Px
Them facom 4 in 1 spanners are identical to the bahco ones, I'm having some, a big fan of bahco ratcheting tools
Bought that wera set!!! Thanks for the review😃 like you, I didn’t know it existed....
Hi Jeffrey, thats great news, they are just about the best quality i have ever seen, did you order them from Recon?, if so, then they'll be with you shortly and im sure you'll love em... take care and ride safe.. Del.
Moonfleet41 bought it a bit cheaper on this side of the pond😃
Great info again del
Do me a favour and move your delboys garage sign to the left so it’s not hiding behind the cupboard 😂👍🏻👍🏻
Hi buddy, thought about that a lot over the years, the problem is though, that places it right on the corner of the wall and not in the centre of the space, which looks equally wrong lol and I may yet be moving those 3 units on the right, which will then put it back in the right place, but thanks brother, it's great to meet someone with the same OCD as me lol
Great vid buddy.
Wera is good stuff, I have the Wera Zyklop 8003A 1/4 socket wrench which is very small.
Have you seen the plier wrench made by Knipex pronounced K_Nip_Ex, I have the 125 mm length
version which is also very small it opens to 23mm. They have four different sizes, the great
thing about these wrenches are once you've adjusted the wrench for nut size it keeps its position,
as they have a spring, so as you turn the wrench no need to keep adjusting.
Knipex have a You Tube video on them.
Heh I liked this one too. Curiously I think Wera did that kit in an advent calendar for Christmas just gone, or maybe a smaller version I don't know, either way you kind of got the wallet thing on the first day and each after that a bit or part of a tool. Ashens thought the Wera calendar was the best calendar. Hehe a good Sunday! 😁
Yes I think it's maybe a German thing as Wiha did it as well with a set of varied screwdrivers!
Very nice tool kit del as you have Harley I have Suzuki and just invested in some JIS screw drivers not the most expensive set but better than using possi drive or philips the ratchet double sided spanners are brilliant all the best kev
Thanks Kevin... good tools make sense aye.
Hey Guys I'm back again. Great stuff and great vid. Ride safe Friends...Doc
Hi Doc, good to see ya, hope life is good,, take care, D&Px
Nice one Del & Penny. I was just chatting with my mates yesterday about bike toolkits & what to carry. That Wera one looks awesome, must go check it out!! Does the photo of Suzy Perry come with it?? Hah. Belated Happy Birthday from me & the gang. Awrabest, Al.x.
Hey Al.. no the photo is optional, you can substitute it for Joanna Lumley, Penny Mallory, (or Jodie Kid if you like adventure bikes) and yeah, amazing quality tools, and a good long term investment if you can run to them..!
Cheers for keeping us up to date on what's what mate!
Say are imperial tools different to metric ones? Is there on equivalence?
Wera make great tools. I've invested in quite a few.
Great review👍
Phook😂😂😂 the Army tips at the end😋. Nearly shat mehself loffin. Definitely a prayer book for scooter riders who wear shorts and flip flops too.
True dat mate!
Brill mate 👌🏾
Happy birthday del. Just thought I'd pass on that I made a mini tool kit from a zip up Filofax case from a charity shop. If you're on a budget, keeping an eye out for old cases like that is a good idea. Big enough to keep some co2, plug kit, mini torch, micro Leatherman copy, Allen keys, breakdown info... Only thing is I don't think I have tubeless anymore on my scrambler.
Hi buddy.. good call, a torch is the first thing we forget, and the first thing we bloody need when we break down in the dark..lol i do carry a puncture kit and Co2 bottles, but only ever used them for other people i am riding with..lol
Moonfleet41 Ive had one ever since I spent ages trying to hold my phone in my mouth/under my chin while I tried to adjust the throttle on my old 125cc. Just a cheapo single AAA off Aliexpress, nothing fancy but does the job.
Don't forget the good old adjustable spanner as you cant get ring spanners on every bolt/nut. I also carry a cable repair kit (had a clutch cable snap) and some self amalgamating tape.
All good stuff buddy, specially the cable kit, i have one too..!! i think if you accumulated all the different things that people carry onto one single bike.. you'd need a trailer...lol.
GPMG .bar mounted on your harley. .now there is an idea for your next project del. .oh..and suzy Perry. Good call 😊😊
Yeah, old school i know, but its good to reminisce.. maybe a Dillon would be more up to date aye..! (need a fair bit more link though aye)..lol!
,
Long time viewer and now a new subscriber. I am new to the Harley family of riders and appreciate the care and delivery of the content. I've learned quit a lot. Thank you. Wera does make great tools with many innovations. Will you please reply / post the brand and model for each of the: red-handled multi-screwdriver; and for the ratchet ring wrenches. Thank you.
Lovely Kit, have a nice sunday too. It's freezing here, I can't understand how people want to play golf on this hahha
Hi Gus.. i can't understand why people want to play golf in the first place.. but i guess its a good excuse for a long walk aye... or is it the special facilities at "the 19th T"..
Great stuff!
Thanks!
Del you forgot.......Frag granade and last but not least a cuddly toy :).
Happy Youth day too.
cheers buddy.. a man can never have enough grenades..!
Nice 👍🏻
Brilliant great advice but Triumph Tiger 800 XCa new still have a under seat kit would have sent you a picture but don't know how 😂
Timely, Del. My birthday’s next month!
Happy coming birthday Tom.. 27 again.?
Moonfleet41, absolutely correct: for the 39th time in a row!
I never ever not have a roll of tools/bolts /screws/ties n tape...under the seat ...they always seem to be handy for mates...ha ha ..dave..cheers folks
ha ha, dead right Carol, i have used mine more time for other people than ever for my bike.. specially the puncture kit..!
I'd be interested in seeing you performing more "roadside repairs", assembling a mechanics survival kit etc.
For instance, fixing a snapped throttle cable. This just happened to me and I used the other cable (the one that closes the throttle bodies) but I now plan to bring a cable repair kit.
Back in the day when cable snapping wasn't uncommon, the old dispatch riders used to cable zip tie a new cable alongside the main one... then if it broke, you just swapped the ends over.. also, if you want a rescue solution.. then Wemoto sell a cable repair kit, comes with a length of inner cable, loose ends, that screw in place, and you can make a new cable up on the roadside.. and the whole lot fits a plastic tub smaller than a shoe polish tin..!
@@Moonfleet41 Thanks for the nice answer. I took that as an example because I just lived it on a 2007 bike.
Tyre repair is another easy example. On paper, the solution from Dynaplug seems best (i.e. simple and takes little space) but how to inflate it afterwards? Hand/Foot pump? Electric pump? CO2 cartridges?
You may have some electrical issues, so maybe a tiny multimeter, some electrical wire, wago connectors, ...
A spare spark plug? Or a gaping tool?
Something to fix a broken chain (I know preventive maintenance is best, but it still happens)?
Locking pliers in case you break your gear selector or clutch lever, ...
A leak proof plastic bag to carry some fuel from the petrol station if they don't have jerrycans
A tie-down strap to fix stuff on the bike or allow yourself to be towed, ....
I really think that would be worth a series: "What should you have under your seat to fix 90% of the issues and not call AAA", I, for one, would certainly watch it and take notes.
(P) Just brilliant, well done guys, Quality tools as well, I could have done with a set of mole grips to use for kick start last week 🤣
ha ha, good old Mole grips.. the worlds best universal tool aye.
Penny.… I do hope that Del doesn't sleep with that dinky little Wera toolkit secreted under the pillow!!
Good ... nay OUTSTANDING job, too on buying it for Del as a present. Beats socks and hankies all day long!
Nice vid &, as usual, thanks for posting. 😎👍👍
Thanks Mark, she didn't know until you just told her.. dammit..!! lol Seriously mate, thanks for your kind support, always good to hear from you.. Del.
Moonfleet41 Ooooops! .… sorry! 😜😜
I had no idea tools are no longer a stock accessory kit on new bikes
Royal Enfield bikes come with tools.😎
Love the wera.
Great video just having a hard time finding these tools....
If you look, there's a direct link right under the video, takes you here:- www.reconelectrical.co.uk/tools/tool-sets
Very true about bike tool kits disappearing, I bought a Ducati recently and it came with a single Allen Key in the tool kit. Like Ikea furniture 😂
My '21 Ducati scrambler icon came with a tool kit from the factory. I am thinking of making a small tool box to bolt into the factory location where the factory catalytic converter box once was.
Good man 🖒😎
You had me scrambling to a dictionary (which is a good thing). OS map, hexiblocks, fabloned, chinagraph, Suzi Perry, few others. Funny list on the scroll, loved it. Don't forget to include a guy's name for the ladies. You forgot duct tape, although I think you guys call it 'gaffer tape'. Although the cloth electrical tape I suggested in my other comment is almost as good.
Ok Jeff, you are of course right, not just for the ladies, but for 'all genders of rider', so let me add to the list.. "Tesa cloth harness tape, and small photo of Oliver Goodwill" There, soon mended, and all riders catered for..!
Moonfleet41 touche! Lol!
Wera tools are great. I’m still using a couple of their screwdrivers I bought in 1984! Not home use either, I’ve worked on plant, HGVs & fork lifts with them. I’ve only got two left ‘cos the rest have been lost/stolen/borrowed!
"Lost Stolen Borrowed".... i feel your pain brother, aint that the truth.! if i still owned every tool id ever bought, i wouldn't be able to get in my garage..!
Delboy's Garage Haha! Yes!
Some interesting ideas there but the most important I spotted was the pic of Suzi Perry. I just so happen to already have a signed pic of her :)
No way.. thats cheating.. and probably why you will never break down again now... like a lucky charm aye.
i got a 0Ballards 5 Way Mini T-Bar Socket Tool Set, added 1/4 drive allen sockets to it
Happy birthday Del
Thanks buddy..
Curious about the 2 way scanners how does it work for both tightening and loosening ? Is there any adjuster ?
I would add a large, good quality crescent wrench as well in case you have to mess with an axle or larger fastener.
2014 I bought a new Triumph Thunderbird LT , it came with a " tool kit " ..........................1 yes 1 allen key , it clipped to the inside of a side panel and was for taking off the passenger seat , it worked too ! lost it now , gutted , don't know what to do now LOL , these look good though .
I've got all those things under my seat now. May as Well have bought a Jack up kit as I can't reach the floor... ;)
ha ha,. just take out the photo of Suzi Perry, and replace it with a photo of Kate Moss.. then your seat will fit on again..!
That Wera toolkit looks lovely, think i might invest in one of those. Awesome video Del! I was down in the Bournemouth/Poole area yesterday, oooofff it was cold.
Hi Sean, that's good news, you won't regret it, the quality is amazing, I guarantee you won't be able to put the ratchet down... it's like a little hand prop you keep in your pocket lol! .... and I guess they're not cheap, but the quality is astonishing, and it will last you a lifetime... the link is right under the video to all the tools I bought here!
And yeah, it's 'bloomin' taters' down here this week, apparently snow to come, yay, can't wait !
Great video and Happy Birthday
How did you know it was my birthday.
Thanks James, not nice once you're rolling along the 5th floor, seems like only yesterday I left school !
Happy birthday Im near the 6th
A pair of small or medium sized pliers wrench or adjustable wrench would be a good addition.
Hi Del, love the ticker tape suggestions to add to the tool kit! Not sure about the small photo of Suzie...maybe a medium size one?
Thanks buddy, good suggestion on the photo, but I was thinking about saving space on the tool kit , so the small photo would take up less room... perhaps you could get a double sided one with Joanna Lumley on the back?!
Moonfleet41 Fair enough about saving space. maybe a smaller piece of cake or fewer 50% tracer rounds, and then you can take all the girls along with you? I would also add Wendy James (in her prime) to the list.....
What size FACOM Spanner Wrenches do you recommend for my 2013 Harley Heritage?
My Harley came with a nice folding toolkit
