- No Damage
No Ifrit
Beaten with the Goblin Hat on of course.
This fight is actually a lot of fun. There are definitely some things I'd rather be balanced differently (like buffing the damage of Ardyn's normals and nerfing the damage of Ardyn's Demon Punch) but it's pretty solid overall. The particle effects are a little extreme making it a bit hard to see what's happening sometimes and Ardyn's dodge is a little wonky, so staying up close and sidestepping/parrying on reaction wasn't very reliable for me. I wish it was possible to fight Regis as Noctis but whatareyagonnado. Gonna post the Somnus fight sometime tomorrow. Regis is the REAL final boss of episode Ardyn tho... - Hry
A+ for Finesse. My highest finish was an A+
Man, I've never had this much fun playing as the villain.
I can't figure this out, he fights Regis here and whoops him, then in Kingsglaive sees a much older Regis who refers to Ardyn as the Chancellor of Nif and not who he met that day. Memory loss? Also with all the people and cameras around that day, wasn't he made known and wanted?
My memory's a bit hazy, but I think Regis did indeed recognize Ardyn when they met again in Kingsglaive. He just had nothing to gain by provoking him then and there with how frail he was by that point. As for Ardyn's rampage in the DLC, I think he had his form disguised as the guard whose identity he stole at the beginning to everyone's eyes other than the player's.
@@TheRealKingheart I thought it was more a temporary disgusie and it was revealed when the Royal Arms were but thanks, those are good points. They could do a better job making things clear I mean what is this, Kingdom Hearts?
Actually, Ardyn was constantly in disguise, supposedly to everyone else he looks like a regular soldier/security guy, along with sounding like the guy.
So Regis thinks the Adagium looks like a Lucian male, that's likely ex security.
As they don't know about Ardyn's shape-shifting abilities, nor know his name, they don't know who he really is or what he looks like.
Pressingly they were looking for this Lucian looking guy for years before giving up as he just "vanished".
Its very likely Regis did not know Ardyn was the same guy he fought when he finally met him during Kingsglaive.
The only reason we ourselves keep seeing Ardyn as himself during the gameplay is (well it would be a boring and dumb Ardyn DLC if he would not look like Ardyn, but a Generic Security guy right?)
@@NJ-HH ... Well, I mean...
@@NJ-HH Late But about the royal arms and disguise if you paid attention during the episode it was revealed he was constantly in disguise especially when he left the car at the beginning and when using Ifrit and the royal arms he stayed in disguise.
And based on his reaction of "who are you" when Ardyn pulled out the royal arms and Regis never mentioning that he was the chancellor here more than likely means he was in disguise.
They do put stuff in the game clearly but you have to actually pay attention.
Ardyn is Somus no damage?
Regis' battle theme sounded beast until the sax killed it for me no offense!!🤔😂
Ardyn vs noctis no damage please.
I thought about trying it before, but when the other 3 show up, things get a little too crazy unless you cheese them. I might give it real a shot eventually and see I can come up with anything interesting tho. I just wish there was a true Ardyn vs Noctis 1v1 fight :p
I see the backup is like the ultimate hard.
At least if you're going for no damage, since getting clipped by anything would end the attempt. There's probably a way to consistently do it, but I'm not sure if it would be fun to do or watch. I dunno for sure.
