Michael Scheuer, former Chief of the CIA bin Laden unit
Conversations host Harry Kreisler welcomes Michael Scheuer, a 20 year veteran of the CIA, who in the 1990's headed the search for Osama Bin Laden and the rendition program to imprison jihadists. Scheuer discusses the career of Osama bin Laden, the origins of the rendition program, and the failure of the US foreign policy elite to understand the challenges posed by jihadist terrorism.

According to official figures, nearly 30,000 American soldiers were killed and wounded in Iraq, nearly 22,000 American soldiers were killed and wounded in Afghanistan, 30,000 committed suicide in the last 20 years, more than 600 NATO soldiers were killed, and 8,000 were killed who were working in American security companies. And spending more than five trillion dollars, and now the US national debt reaches 30 trillion dollars, and the American economy since 2008 has many problems. There is no victory in Iraq and Afghanistan, frankly.

He's in bed with ISIS, ISIL, Hamas, Hezbolah, CAIR, the Muslim Brotherhood, and whatever brand of Islamic fascism there is out there in the wasteland. The following is a list of countries invaded by the US forces (naval, military and ultimately air forces) since its inception in order of major incidents. This catalogue derives heavily form the work of US academic Dr Zoltan Grossman's article “From Wounded Knee to Libya : a century of U.S. military interventions” [1], Gideon Polya's book ‘Body Count. Global avoidable mortality since 1950” (that includes a brief history of all countries since Neolithic times) [2] and William Blum's book “ Rogue State ” [3]. This list includes instances of violent deployment of US forces within America (e.g. against demonstrators, miners etc), and includes small-scale bombing and military intervention operations, military evacuations of Americans and specific instances of explicit threats of use of nuclear weapons. The list does not include the 1801-1805 US Marine Barbary War operations against Barbary pirates based in Morocco , Algeria , Tunisia and Libya , and also ignores massive US subversion of virtually all countries in the world. @t

The Empire State building was hit by a much smaller plane travelling at a much lower speed, so it's not really a fair comparison, but it is the only one. Building No.7, like many buildings around the twin towers, was engulfed in flames and collapsed because the internal gas heating exploded, thus causing the building to implode.

Don Rendal did really said that, guess he didn’t watch tv solidly for the next few weeks. We had two tv’s going almost constantly especially in the first 2 days. Funny thing is there are some things have never seen again like the tv reporter who was first on the scene after the supposed plane hit the Pentagon and said he saw no signs of plane parts and the hole it supposedly made was small for the size of the plane that was supposed to have hit. And I just loved that the cameras for that side were not working. Plus then the Pentagon then sent out agents to collect film from area buildings’ security cameras. Couldn’t show a plane but one showed a streak of light.

When I was in college the father of a girl I was dating was friends with Panetta and I was fortunate to meet and get to know him. Leon Panetta is a fine man and when he was a Congressman out of Monterey California he served his district quite well. A very personable and reasonable guy. He showed his ethics when he left the Clinton cabinet right before the whole Monica Lewinski affair broke.

the young people .. hat er bekämpft.
