We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.
-
THANK YOU ❗️ - Zábava
I like how he doesn’t try to hide his mistakes. Cooking shows feel less intimidating when they don’t show all perfection.
Indeed. Plus when things go wrong he shows what you can do to help save it or how to just roll with it.
@@guyjosephs5654 this is the new comedy hour? hehehe

That's what grabbed my attention with his channel in the first place!😊
I kinda figured when he said 400 for 25 minutes that bacon was smoked. But it happens 🤷🏻♂️
Makes everything he does seem much more attainable for the average or beginner cook
Man, I love McGriddles. Whoever thought to use small pancakes as sandwich buns is a goddamn genius.
Herb Peterson ❤️ Tom Ryan for McGriddles ❤️he also created pizza stuffed crust
@@tishsharay7509 is this true? Haha if so this man deserves a medal of honor

your not lying that shit is ridiculously good
Flat bread, then sandwich thins were a thing, then food allergies became a thing now making gluten free pancakes as sandwich bread because store bought gf bread is expensive and gross. My daughters science teacher even gave us all a recipe for pancake bread.
when sam said 20/25 minutes on the bacon, i thought, been there, i now do my candied bacon at 350 for 10/15 minutes and make a delicious apple bacon salsa with it.
Same ☝️🤣
Man, I would give my right leg to have had you as an uncle or dad growing up. My grandma was like the ONLY person in the family that liked cooking.
You know what you have to do to change that.
Hey what about Arby's classic beef and cheddar with curly fries
Yes yes yes yes yes!!!!!!!!!
Yes!
That's not roast beef...it's "roast beef". Delicious "roast beef" tho.

Great idea
I just learned that I’ve been using paper towels the wrong way for my entire life. 🥺
It really triggers me😭😭
I recoiled in disgust.
Yes Jack Daniels can be substituted for vanilla. I learned that at Miss Bobo's restaurant in Lynchburg, TN, after touring the JD Distillery.
Loved how the bacon was still used-shows what happens in a real kitchen and how to adjust.

Well I have never ever cooked much but am intelligent enough to follow your directions and today made my wife her Breakfast again. She had an operation and told to take at easy for at least a week. Therefore after watching several of your podcast cooking shows. I have made her several breakfast’s in bed. Today I made her one of your Croissant breakfast sandwiches. The ingredients I used was Croissants sliced and toasted in a hot pan with light butter, white cheddar sliced cheese, smoked Canadian Bacon, a avocado sliced, tomato sliced, cream cheese, spicy brown mustard, plus the single egg. She said it was the best ever of all the previous breakfast meals. Fantastic thanks a million
Sam is the most sincere and honest tutorial cook on the net today. Being funny as hell is an added bonus. Kudos to his Cuban sandwich back in the day. Cuban approved.

Jack's not bourbon, Sam! That's like calling Kraft Mayo Kewpie. It's got the same stuff, but is a totally different product.
is definitely not whisky for sure
@@khhnator Well, it is whiskey, but Tennessee whiskey not Kentucky bourbon. There are (actual) laws about that.

One thing I like about this channel compared to others is how real it is. Mistakes happen when cooking and they dont shy away from those mistakes unlike all the other cooking channels out there.
Wow! I have to do that one on my Blackstone. Lots of fun. Buying each of my brothers a cookbook for Christmas.
A cooking show that actually makes you feel you can do it yourself 👍

Thank you so much for the great cook book. No leftovers it great! My wife just bought it for me and going to start trying to made that delicious food! Keep up the great videos they're very appreciated and my favorite!
Made these this morning and absolutely DELICIOUS! Thank you!
I've always wanted to make the mcgriddle at home! I love that I can do that now!
Why did the clarinet practice sound so good though 😂
I'm so gonna try this! Thank you for doing this!!
Looks awesome. The trick to the maple syrup infused pankake flavor is when it is cooking, you drizzle syrup over the uncooked side, then flip.
That looks amazing...I’d go as far as saying that I’m lovin’ it.
those were professionally burnt bacon strips. I could tell by the smell.
I saw a video someone else made where they put a cup of maple syrup into a pot and boil it on the stove until it thickens. Then take it off and let it cool to room temp. After that, it's almost like a taffy consistency and you can cut/tear pieces off and roll them into little balls, dropping some onto the batter when you pour the pancake batter. Not complicated, really. Seems pretty fun. You can control the size of syrup chunks! But great video, Sam!
I love when cooks eat their own recipes on camera. I've seen many that don't, at least not on camera.
Been waiting forever a video like this 😁can’t wait to make it myself now. 😁🤤
Turns out I was PRECISELY stoned enough for this one, thanks boss

"One more ingredient...it's bourbon."
Pours in Jack Daniel's, lol
Jack Daniels is a Bourbon. Yes, it is also a Tennessee Whiskey, but that doesn't mean that it's not a Bourbon. Just like Remy Martin is a Cognac and also a brandy. One is a sub-category of the other. In Jack Daniels case, it is a Whiskey, more specifically a Bourbon, and even more specifically a Tennessee whiskey.
Technically JD is a bourbon. They just don't call it that for marketing purposes. Even the Master Distiller claims it is. Check out Fred Minnick's podcast with him where he admits it.
Jack Daniels is Not bourbon 🥃. Insulting to a real Kentuckian.

Well you will probably struggle with the branding iron but the rest of it is pretty readily available. We have great bacon (streaky in this case... cos loin cut is more prevalent), maple syrup you can buy at a supermarket but CostCo does a great deal. Sausage meat just go to a decent butcher although bigger supermarkets are probably stocking it for Christmas now... go do it Paul. Ohh Buttermilk. Frustrating for me . Waitrose, I can never find it. Tesco has it.
Allright!! I'm definitely trying the bourbon for the bacon and pancakes. On a day off work of course.
What I like about videos like this is that it de-mystifies store-bought (or restaurant-bought) food; it's proof that with a little (and sometimes VERY little) effort, you can yourself make an identical - and often much MUCH better - product. Thanks Sam and Team for bringing such great content to those of us who never thought we could cook!
The best part about it not being a McDonald's is that it will digest😂
19 minutes after upload. This is a record for me.
The McSam....I like it
Yesssss. I have all your cookbooks! Definitely best cookbook ever!
Pancake buns for the win. Also, I never realized that candied bacon was so easy to make.
You can sure tell “Alan” wasn’t in charge of that sandwich, it looks fantastic!
Somehow, I'm not even remotely surprised that Sam owns a branding iron.
I tried doing the syrup in the batter b4 this video when I saw it on babish for the exact same reason Sam gave. It really doesn't have that same maple flavor that we all love about them. You NEED to make the crystals. I heard that you can buy them at some places too. But I will probably make these again but this time use sam's bacon and green onion trick too.
I like that he was honest about burning the bacon. The reason they likely burnt/cooked faster than he expected, is because he soaked them in the bourbon mixture.

And every whiskey guy watching this immediately said “Jack Daniels isn’t bourbon....”
it is, but not good bourbon
@@norme2681 it actually really isn’t, it’s Tennessee whiskey. Not bourbon.
@@greggomes9192 It meets all the legal definitions of a bourbon. Yes, it's a Tennessee whiskey, but that doesn't mean that it's not also a bourbon.
@@bruceabbott6491 actually it doesn’t, before the distillate is put into barrels it is filtered through sugar maple charcoal. That step disqualifies it from being called bourbon and meaning the legal requirements to be called bourbon.
@@greggomes9192 This is untrue. There is nothing in Bourbon's legal requirements that prohibits the charcoal mellowing process. In fact, Wild Turkey Longbranch Bourbon also uses charcoal filtering - as does Evan Williams.

hey Sam, tip for you to make the pancake smooth: add only half of the liquid to the flour and mix is hard when it's dense. This way all the flour lumps will dissolve due to high internal friction. Then add the second half of the liquid and mix.
