In terms of catless vs catted dp, ive heard that a highflow cat really won't limit you until the 550-600hp range. Theres no wrong choice but something to consider when it comes to emissions (if applicable) and smell.
I was debating on the CP-E lightweight black intercooler. Only reason I'm hesitant on pulling the trigger is it's about $880 (my ST is black on black.) Your ST is basically exactly how I want mine mod wise. Keep up the vids, they're very helpful and motivate me to spend money lol
I absolutely love my Depo Beast 5.5" core intercooler. Its under $300 and same performance as CP-E. I was running 170ish in the summer, I never go more than 20 degrees over ambient now according to the accessport.
The mentos gum lid fits on the windshield washer fluid tube??? lol. Mine broke a while back and I've had it on there with duct tape, I'm going to do this as I also have Mentos gum in my car LOL. best part of this video for me.
I mean the shade against the pre tunes from Cobb a bit not needed. I ran one after a Down pipe without tune and ran way too lean. That does way more damage than even a simple map of the hundreds available until yes, you get a full tune. And shift plate vs shift arm is silly. Same shift link set up, just which one do you want to put more stress on.
the cobb tunes have been responsible for people blowing motors they don’t adjust properly for modification and aren’t perfected for each car. i ran fbo on my cars for months on stock tune and was fine it does a good job of adjusting and learning. and shift plates put more stress as opposed to an arm because it lifts the cable up higher and bends it in addition to moving it make the throw shorter. just wears that’s stuff out faster and isn’t good for synchros. not a major difference but worth noting because the damage can be seen in the ownership of a car with one
I don’t think most of us would be happy with the stiff motor mounts , I upgraded my rear one with the slightly stiffer one and that was it otherwise way too much vibration and noise . I recommend that you should upgrade to a Quaif LSD and then see how it does with several wet road launches . Once you’ve had an LSD you don’t want to go without one , several times a year I have to drive in snow and I also need to launch my trailered Zodiac boat on a slippery boat launch ramp !
About to pickup my 2018 ST3 and am definitely interested in getting my car tuned.. What is your total spent on all of the performance parts and have you had it dyno’d?
ive got a 2018 st1, my lug nuts are already swollen so you should check them asap. ford lug nuts are so bad, idk how they havent been sued. you can pop a tire and you wont be able to get the lugs off, resulting in you needing to be towed instead of a simple wheel swap.
Expect around 280-300whp with full bolt ons and custom tune with e30 fuel. Intake/Exhaust optional all that's required to be Stage 3 is Air Filter, FMIC, Downpipe and Tune. Roughly $1500
@@nordicwarrior9566 You don't need e to make those numbers. My buddies 14 with fmic, catless dp, ame catback, rs air box and a tune on 93 made 300whp. Also still running the stock piping.
I had a 2014 focus st with all isolator and specially the one in the back with the plastic off too, with turbo smart BOV adjusted one turn on harder side, with stock intake and KN FILTER open box it was making all the Stu Stu, flutter, turbo sound and intake sound, I got rid of the car but I now have a 2017 st same set up but this one it’s less sound why is that? Both catback exhaust
How much does it cost to get it pro tuned? Mines almost stock, cai, bov, short shift, I’ve got an inter cooler to put in soon just need a few things first, I’m using cobbs stage 1 91 oct ots right now but I’ve heard they are bad for it
@@nv707to get 600hp on an st (if you don’t care about reliability) all your really going to need is a efficient enough turbo and intercooler, intake, catback exhaust, cattless/high flow down pipe, aux fuel and a nice tune. However, if you don’t want to be running on borrowed time you’ll want to invest in forged internals and a stronger clutch. All said and done depending on what parts you get i would assume you would be looking at anything in between $5-10k (cost just depends on how crazy you go)

Yep bought that cooler after i watched your install. Will be installing soon!!

I daily drove my '04 Focus with all three VF Engineering motor mounts and I loved it
Do you need the off market intercooler pipes if you plan to only run it with a cold air intake and exhaust?

Do you also have block mod ? I am tuning my car from 221 to 270bhp so not sure I need it or not

After All the Mods what BHP are getting?
Your only pushing like 220hp rn you need to get direct port fuel or nitrous injection
Where did you get that carbon trim piece for the handbrake? Mines broken and I can’t find a replacement🤔
i did a carbon overlay over the stock one. i have a video on it a while back
A list would have been helpful here, with links an shit. Great information either way, thanks bud!
What wind shield fluid cap is that? The original one cracked so I bought one off of amazon but doensn't fit.

Yeah stock tune is totally fine FBO, it's how you gotta run it to pass emissions for me anyways I just run a o2 defouler lol
Where’d you get those retainer clips holding your headlights and front cover?
ebay. they’re cheap dress up bolts
