I’ve made a a huge morning routine a year ago and everyone thinks I’m weird but cool, I feel so at home that I found this channel! I even have a essential oil diffuser come on 10 minutes before I wake up to help boost my mood

@@lineb.djursaa7290 6:20 light rain sounds come on level 2, salt lamp on, … 6:30 a custom voice message comes on , level three, three more lamps on, music is now upbeat, then 10. Inured later the Alexa in the washroom turns on for music and lights to go shower, then piano 30 minutes later beside where I read . So the music moves through the condo, lights are programmed, motivational voice and custom message for wake up time , natural sounds to wake up to ! Gradual light source

Currently my iphone is supposed to wake me up.......but it usually turns into my 4 year old screaming in my face WAKE up.......usually around 6am. Ugh. I need something more soothing like this Owen haha!

My wake up routine involves my chihuahua's tongue licking my face until I wake up. It works well, no need for any device.

By the way, if you don't want to have to change the routine time everytime you want a lie-in, you can also set it to trigger when an alarm is dismissed between certain hours. If you like to snooze your alarm, you can also set it so that it won't repeat the routine if it is activated within X minutes of the last time
I know you said make your own routines, but has anyone put two and two together and come up with routine templates you can download to your Alexa? I think there’d be a huge market.
The 'Big Fart' skill on that list would also be a good one for waking up too. These are informational videos, I also like other ones where you explain the integration between Alexa and Ring. You got yourself a new subscriber and thanks for sharing your ideas.

Doh, in Canada we don't have the ramp up feature. So I have to create wake up routines in intervals. At least this way I can make her go from a comforting sweet girlfriend tone....to a a**face get out of bed tone.
I have tooo many routines and it alarms set up from when I was first learning.
You explained the Alarm vs Routine vs Skills sooooo clearly! I’ve watched others and not understood that concept before.
I do have a question.. I have one routine I really like. It plays a play list from Apple Music but I can’t for the life of me know how I did it haha.
One of the issues I think I have is when I set up an alarm it offers choices of sounds ie classic alarm sounds AND music. But it legit just says “music”
So it’s guess work
Today I woke up to screaming death con rock music with a creepy dude mimicking Satan. Ok soo maybe that overlapped with a dream or something

What kind of light bulbs should I get for Alexa? Like is there any specific light bulbs to connect to my Alexa?
love the wake up video but have a question so I am using amazon cube as alarm clock and using i hope a flic 2 button to turn off alarm with phone not hub can i do this ;-) i dont see it in my routines its all grayed out will not allow me to use the button

For the skills like the nature/birds sounds, my alexa asks before playing if I would like her to play the nature sounds. Kinda annoying in the morning. Could it be an issue with the settings??
Yes this is a New thing and it SUCKS!! I’m trying to find a new app for nature sounds

9:53 It could have been worse! You could be waking up to the windows 98 startup sound at max volume on an Alexa device! Just be glad Amazon didn't give you the sound customization just yet, or else someone is gonna be waking up the next morning to the extremely loud windows 98 startup sound in the morning! And it sure isn't going to be me! Hahahaha!

in the alexa app i’m trying to set a different sound for my alarm within the app but when i click on a certain sound i cant hear it in the app or on my echo dot?
What’s the sound? It might be too long or the file is too big.
@@lifeautomated2209 so actually i think it might be an issue within the app? my sister also has an echo dot and can’t hear any alarm sounds when creating an alarm

I did all your steps and it works up until it plays Here comes the Sun, it does ramp up the light but it stops there
If the music doesn’t work try a different song or choosing a different provider
