Chris, the remarks which you made about how you described your work and job title made me chuckle so much simply because before I had to retire due to disabilities I was working in the funeral industry. I used to tell people who asked me what i did for a living that i was the very last person that would ever see you before you actually went to meet your maker. This alway's and i mean alway's confused everyone who asked!!! Which of course tickled me especially when someone once asked me if i was a hitman 😮😅. As always brother 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.

@@AGlimpseInside Thank you a bunch! My little one actually just had her second birthday a few days ago, well the 24th. Anyhow, she's doing good. She's not crawling yet, or even sitting up on her own. If she is propped up, she'll sit there. But that's alright, she'll get there I'm sure! Anyhow thanks for your well wishes brother. Hey quick question, you live in Florida don't you? Or am I mistaken? Anyhow I was thinking, every several years we take a trip down to Florida. And IDK when we will be doing so again. But if we end up down your way. I wondered if you might want to meet up? I mean it would just be awesome to meet you in person. If that's not something you're comfortable with. I totally understand, it's just a thought! Anyhow if you don't live in Florida. Then disregard all that, Lol. And like I said, idk, don't have a clue when we will make it down that way again. Anyhow keep doing the amazing things you're doing. I'm happy for you, being about to do what you're doing. And working your butt off, sure seems like you've gotten to a pretty good place my friend! Alright sorry about the novel, and until next time take care!

LOL… corner of shame. I have multiple of those. But I recently sent a picture to a friend I made online and told her… “this is my corner of shame”. She rolled laughing. I wonder if I got that from watching that video you did of the tour.
Love what you do. I need to get my shop organized. I have an xcarve and a Glowforge. I just purchased the sand paper thingy digital file and the farmhouse table plans after watching your video about being 2 years old. I know the table would be simple enough without the plans. But I wanted to give you some support. Then… while watching this video I had to go back and get the digital file for this.
I LOVE French cleats. However… I have ONE stand alone cleat that’s about 5” long in my shop right now. In my old shop I had way more. But it was a small tiny shop. I have my dream shop now. Lots of room that I have underutilized. And most of the cleat pieces I had then I’ve outgrown. I’m in the middle of a reorganization right now. My furniture painting business has taken over my shop and I need to reclaim my space. Hopefully this will motivate me to get going!

If they want to call it can infomercial, then let them. You show how you came up with the design, and made them, assemble them and use them. Seeing how you come up with these things helps to figure how I may design something for myself. Exampl - I have a worktable, and will be installing french cleats on the ends to hold the power tools I will use at that worktable. What you have will work, but my table is on casters, and moving it around may cause the tools to slide/slip out of the slots. So I need to come up with something to where something holds the tool in, or when I insert it, it has to go pas a thinner area, blocking it in. Or even a rubber band around the back, so I will cut a couple of notches. Or latch that flips down, etc. Thanks for the ideas.

Chris, how about designing a drawer application with aspects of your cleat designs? The ability to move drawers around within in cabinet and of different sizes might be an application to test your creativity. With drawer fronts sized in multiples of the cleat spacing, you could have a lot of flexibility in the size. Maybe the cleats are on the sides rather than the backs. I don’t know. That’s your job. 😀

I'd show you but I don't know how to include a picture.

Don’t apologize for being proud of what you make. And don’t apologize for doing something that you think is helpful to your community.
I will say that I don’t think you should look so negatively on your time as a baker. People certainly have choices to make about what they eat, and how they treat their bodies, but that does not mean that making someone a cake is a bad thing. making them donuts is not a bad thing. There are plenty of really healthy people who have a treat from time to time. I think if your marketing to someone to tell them how healthy it is or telling them, they should eat something that you make every single day then you could certainly want to rethink that. But selling people, bread and cakes that they enjoy is a really wonderful thing. we’ve had bakeries for centuries!

To laugh with you as your kids zoom around in the background, stealing the show. To be inspired to emulate you as best we can and to see what brilliant idea you have come up with and if we can buy it, if we can't make something similar ourselves, because we lack the ability just yet. Never apologise for the awesomeness that is 'A Glimpse Inside'. You, April and The Honest Carpenter are the reasons I am on this woodwork wagon train, the first three content makers I found, so the three of you get free passes to try and sell whatever the heck you want as far as I am concerned😂.

Hey Chris great as always mate. An idea though, now that you’ve incorporated bit storage into your tool holder it might be nice to have a version that can be taken off the wall and sat on your workbench. That way you can have one set up and ready to go with your drill/impact driver, pre-drill bit, countersink and hex bit, maybe even include a function to hold some screws as well.

  • @Kami8705

I like the idea of the drill holder. Have you considered making them so they can be set on a work table as well? Just take the whole holder off the wall and bring it to the work, especially with specific sets of bits for each holder.

Hey, this pecker FEST logo reminds me of the Festool Logo. Check for Copyright issues, or is this aligned with Festool?

Everything is here. There is a multitude of products that work with the French cleat system and of course the cleats are on the website too. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

A weird issue for finding a product I need is not being able to find 6” sandpaper organizers online. Why is this a thing? I really wish someone would sell them online.

@@AGlimpseInside Kinda, except I dont need cleats, I need it for either standalone, standalone but connectable or for a pegboard, pegboard connectable etc.. It just has to be utilitarian. I have a ton of sandpaper...

Do you sell the files for those of us that have CNC ? Might be able to expand your business even further if you don't already

I see that they are available now, just bought mine, then I realized that they are meant for a Laser not a CNC. Do you think they can be cut using a CNC instead? I am brand new to using this thing. thanks@@AGlimpseInside

@brianlister6036 yes, I would recommend using some tabs and dog bone fillets. I would have to have a whole conversation with you about this to really point you in the right direction but those two terms “Tabs“ and “dog bone fillets“. Google them and it will lead you down the right path. You should get some insight on how to do it. I would use an eighth of an inch bit and do it in two passes
