  • I recently bought the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 and I got it with the Trail Loop in blue/black. Blue/Black is the new colour for 2023! The strap is really nice and it's the softest Apple Watch band I've ever felt! But it's not perfect, and if I'm being honest, I really thought I'd like this band more than I do.
    I have also reviewed the Alpine Loop for the Apple Watch Ultra, you can see that here: • This is the BEST band ...
    And you can check out my full unboxing of the Apple Watch Ultra here: • Apple Watch Ultra 2 In...

    I personally have the Alpine Loop in blue and it's amazing! I was considering the olive but ended up getting blue and I have no regrets, hope to get last years midnight Ocean Band or the 2023 blue version.

      @@ronanhutchinson A little off topic but what do you think of the iMac? Is it something you are interested in?

      @James-dg1me yeah, I use a MacBook Pro, so I’m a fan of macs in general. Haven’t used an iMac for a couple of years though. I prefer editing on a MacBook. What about you? You use an iMac?

      @@ronanhutchinson I don't have a Mac at the moment. I've always wanted to have one though. I use an Acer Nitro 5 which is a gaming laptop as my computer. Since I have an Apple Watch Ultra, iPad Pro and an iPhone 15 Pro already, I'll probably get an iMac in the near future. I was originally planning for a Mac Mini but I've changed my mind recently!

    There is certainly one thing that the trail Alpine band does not do as well as the Trail loop band and that is make quick and easy adjustments. I have both and the Alpine is very difficult to make adjustments while running, heck its bit challenging while walking or hiking. I prefer the Trail loop. I do find I need to make sure I don't over tighten it as that does bother my wrist. Once I figured out the best tension I have very happy with it.

      It’s like you’ve seen my plan for my next video about it! 😂😂 yeah, I’m finding I’m getting on much better with it now. So I’m gonna make an update to this video explaining my thoughts now. Thanks for watching, I’m glad you’re getting along well with your Trail Loop too. I still prefer how the Alpine looks, but they’re both great bands!

    i'm confused. Does the trail loop only chafe your wrist when it is wet? Because I don't plan on getting it wet on a regular basis.

    • @ronanhutchinson
      @ronanhutchinson  Před 3 měsíci

      Hey! Thanks for watching. No, not just when it’s wet. In fairness, I haven’t gotten it wet that much unless I’m trying to clean it… essentially, when it’s on my wrist, after a while (few days) it starts to irritate my wrist. I wouldn’t call it chaffing, cause it’s not sore. Just more itchy etc. I have found over time, the problem is getting less and less, and when it does happen, if I loosen the tightness a little, it usually solves it. I’ve another video coming about it soon.

    as Ive been saying, the Ultra 2 metal lug design (or really any metallic wrist band) risks scratching your laptop, especially the Mac laptops made from aluminum. Not to mention metal bands look great but you'll be taking it off frequently if you have to type into a laptop. Its not clear yet if any band out there is both thin, has no velcro (terrible design and ugly), no metal lug, and doesn't use magnets to stay on...

    • @Chillhoof
      @Chillhoof Před 17 dny

      If you pick the right size Alpine Loop the lug will sit at the side of your wrist and not ever touch the table. If the lug is in the 6 o'clock position it's simply too short for your wrist.

    Love the trail loop. Hate the Alpine Loop. The latter seems like they're for women.

      I think they’re all pretty unisex… but I think all three ultra bands lean more towards masculine styling. I like both, but for me I think the Alpine Loop looks slightly nicer than the Trail
