Imagine seeing Motörhead, Metallica and Guns N’ Roses on the same day.
I could only imagine watching peak Metallica and peak Guns n Roses all in one show...
I’m a huge Guns N Roses and Metallica fans they are both incredible and fantastic band I love them.
I review metallica albums on my channel if anyone is interested
Yeah Guns N Rose's is great too. No need to crap on them. They are different but both great for their own reasons👍
Guns and roses are trash.
Labowskie Big no
The sesame street singers were actually the inspiration for both bands
I think the reason why Metallica had to go on first was that if Guns were to go first - Metallica would've had to start playing around next day or something
Good point 👍
Exactly Right
Metallica always like to play shows early finish early plain and simple
I saw Guns at the Forum in LA. We had to wait for Axl. Such a mess.
lmaol
I don't know why Howard is downplaying how huge Gn'R was that time, a lot of people probably went to those shows for them
They were two biggest rock bands in 80’s to 90’s
I was at the Montreal show that delved into a riot. Faith No More, no problem. Metallica, James gets seriously burned by pyrotechnics after a few songs. Wait 2+ hours. GNR, play a few songs, Axl tells the crowd to gf themselves, drops the mic and splits. Crowd goes mental. Fires lit, tear gas, cop cars turned over, millions of dollars in damages. I was 19 years old.
i dont think they were really friends in montreal that day lol
GnR/Metallica was my first concert as a kid. Hard to top that afterwards.
Metallica didn't "open" for Guns N' Roses. The two bands were co-headlining. It was a strategic decision on Metallica's part to finish their set early and without any disturbances, which had a high chance of occurring if they went after a band as volatile and unpredictable as Guns N' Roses.
The last year I attended to a guns show in Guadalajara. And it's one of the best shows I've ever attended. They know how to get people excited. They started just 30 minutes late, but it was amazing. The stadium was packed, it was raining and Axl was amazing throughout the whole show.
Guns N' Roses & Metallica; Two bands I listen to the most. ❤️❤️
Both bands are fucking great end of story
I had a blast at that show.. loved Faith No More.. all three bands put on an amazing show.
Faith No More were invited because both Metallica and GNR liked them.
First concert I ever went to :-) back in the summer of 92
that's awesome 🍷
Saw this tour in Indy and GnR didn't take the stage until after midnight. Axl was in one of his fucking moods.
This is imposible, but.
Would be cool a GNR/Tallica 2022 tour. 30 years after.
Everybody: Metallica vs Guns 'n Roses
Me: THEY HAD MOTÖRHEAD OPEN FOR THEM! 🤯
I was the Rose Bowl show. It was incredible. It was a long day. GNR plays 3 hour sets.
That was a tough tour for them. Glad james healed up well
What a non issue, both bands are Legends. What a Great time for music.
I’ve seen both bands live multiple times... I’ve seen Rose throw a tantrum and leave the stage.... and get out-played by Skid Row. Now Metallica brings it every time, amazing energy every time... there is no comparison
Till this day. It's the best concert I've ever been to!
I love Guns N Metallica.
Axl was always late because he thought himself a diva. Saw them at MSG and they were so late coming to the state - the concert ended at 2AM. FWIW -Both, Metallica and GnR, put on an unbelievable show.
No talk of the Montreal riot? That shit was crazy
Being in L.A., tried to get tickets to see them at the Rose Bowl. Sold out. Guy on the phone says, "hold on, would I mind seeing them in San Diego?". Only 2 hours away, I say no. He comes back on the line and says, "No way, dude, front row, Jack Murphy Stadium." Only time I saw GNR, 2nd of 4 times I would see Metallica.
It was a MUCH bigger mistake for Dokken to let Metallica play before them! Dokken never made it out alive
So much coke that tour. Pablo Escobar would have struggled lol
The real reason why Metallica went on first was because they didn’t know if and when Axel would decide to go on stage. So they went on first and didn’t have to deal with it. Making the fans wait for hours.
I saw this tour in Buffalo, NY. Faith No More opened.
Yulp...they opened with Caffeine.
Nice words from you lars..what a respect..
I so wanted to go to that concert but was only 12. Went to my first Metallica concert two years later and have seen them 5 times.
I had the opportunity to see both Guns N Roses and Metallica exactly a year apart
July 16 2016_2017 Rogers Centre Toronto
I seriously felt like James wasn't really cool with the GnR crew or atleast I think he wasn't a big fan of Axl but that's just my opinion I think it was more of Lars which was James's right hand man who was wayyy more enthralled with the band and their whole scene but I think James wasn't that impressed and I'm not necessarily talking about GnR's music I'm meaning more of Axl's premadonna frontman/lead singer antics and constantly getting into lil scuffles with the audience, security, papperazzi while James was the total opposite he was more quite and reserved and worked his ass off and took his band very serious and was always about his fans and not letting the fans down while Axl treated his fans like shit Alot of the time cancelling shows 2 songs in because he claims his voice just wasn't sounding right on the mic petty shit like that....meanwhile James is the type that he breaks a few strings on his guitar midway through a song and instead of stopping the show he throws his guitar to his guitar tech and just starts doing the vocals without his guitar and I've seen even then after all that James's mic wasn't working too so he threw it down grabbed another mic and just kept it going regardless of the technical difficulties!!
Saw them in Pittsburgh and both sets were fantastic, and incident free!
I saw this concert back in MI back in the day. Good times!
I was at that concert, at the 🌹 rose bowl, it was a killer show, james was only singing because he got burned by a pirotech, on the last songs of there set he came out playing the guitar 🤘,so cool!
Yo! I was at that same show! Remember it got delayed, too. It was supposed to happen months earlier but because of the issues it got pushed back. And yeah, Metallica stole the show that night. And don’t forget the Andrew Dice Clay cameo!
Saw this tour at the Superdome in New Orleans. Freakin awesome!
Howard's interviews always so interesting
Fuck i wish i was alive back then. 98 kid and raised on this shit but it sucks i wasn't 22 back then because i would have loved to see a set like that in one night!
Having both bands play 2.5hr sets seems insane
If Nirvana join this tour, this concert will be historic. Axl invited kurt, but kurt declined.
It was historic without Nirvana.
that just blew my mind metallica guns n roses and nirvana woulda been epic
Was at the Pontiac Silverdome for that one
I was at the Montreal show. What should of been an awesome show turned into a nightmare.
I was 9 and went and will always remember it
Seen the show In the Pontiac silverstone. Metallica was incredible
That was my first concert in Minneapolis
I went to the show in Minneapolis and Metallica was amazing! Guns ‘n Roses wasn’t - they didn’t even play.
Did axl get pissed and leave?
I was at the Texas Stadium show. Gun 'n Roses made us wait 90 minutes between sets, and went over curfew. The tour would've been cancelled after a week if Guns had opened.
My 2 most favorite band joins togetherr
I would've been satisfied after Faith No More played.
Huge Fan Metallica ❣️
Every time I hear Lars talk all I can think about is Jim Breuer's impression of him.
JESUS lol😂 Howard loves to instigate 💩! I went to RoseBowl show in Pasadena in 93.. and yes SOME people left after Metallica simply I wager to say "they did so" at work next day.. but 99.9% OVERWHELMINGLY stayed for GNR... and those who split missed out on a great show/ memory!
It was an amazing tour and I'm glad I got to see it.
✌️🖖
Was at both shows at Giants Stadium and the crowd was drained and exhausted from Metallica by the time GnR hit the stage. Didn't help they came on around for after midnight in some cases.
My first big show!
Indianapolis,. It was a great concert, start to finish.
Two of my favorites
Saw that tour in Oakland. Body Count opened. Left a couple songs into the Guns set.
I doubt Lars can remember how many times he scored an 8 ball on that tour.
What a time to be alive
In 1992 February I was 10, I discovered Guns n Roses first then shortly after Metallica. What a ride two great bands. They taught me, Motörhead, Alice Cooper, they taught me Bob Dylan and made me think that the Beetles weren’t pussies after all. So many great musicians and artists because Guns Metallica.
love both bands
Metallica and GnR tour needed for 2021! Kiss and make up for the love of humanity!
Saw this show in Orlando - GNR, Metallica, Faith No More.
Please ask guns n roses to have a show in this channel please!
I loved that tour, where can I hear the whole interview?
I saw this tour in orlando, it was crazy. It was on a brink of a riot from people throwing food and stuff from the upper stands at the people on the field, what stopped it was girs showing their breasts and they would put it on the megatron, whoever was running the screens between the headliners would pick out hit chicks in the crowd and put them on and the crowd would cheer and most flashed, everyone forgot about the battle, and there had already been two legendary riots during the tour.
I love this, boobs solve everything
I'm kinda shocked they didn't bring up the pyrotechnics incident.
Por siempre los mejores guns and roses
Seen them in Denver 94 day on the green tour
Metallica was huge at that time, but Guns N’ Roses was gigantic.
Women liked guns and roses. Everyone liked metallica
Saw them at Foxboro on that tour. Left after Metallica. Awesome set.
Howard, that man is a brownie hound!
I'd heard that they fucking hated each other and I remember James Hetfield said in an interview that if they got offered an insane amount of money to do it again, they would turn it down.
Lars!!!🤘👽🤘
Seen it in Toronto cne grandstand.
How do you discuss the ‘92 tour and not mention the Montreal show where Hetfield was injured and the riots that happened after guns refused to go on early?
Metallica please next year 2021 tour. with Guns and Rose's. In Miami. Love you both Band. 👿
A 7 hour concert with those bands?!?! Holy shit. Can anyone actually confirm this?
That's the summer I got into Metallica... after an evening at a friend's backyard birthday party turned into a Metallica Vs Guns Roses debate. It ended with Wherever I May Roam being played on the stereo and blowing my fucking socks off.
I saw this show at the spectrum in Philadelphia in 1992 Metallica opened and played for 2 hours guns and roses didn't come on until 10.45 but played until 1.30 am other than deep purple and queen best concert I ever saw unfortunately I never could see zeppelin
One of the greatest summer tours ever. And i wasnt even there. Ha
I’m thinking 30th anniversary tour attempt!
Imagine how great it was
I was there. Saw two shows. It was great, but bittersweet because of Axl disrespecting fans every single show by being extremely late. GNR didn't come on until 3 hours after Metallica.
Metallica stuck the knife in Hair Metal's back, and G'nR twisted it
Guns and roses were the biggest band at that time 1992 period it was after use ur illusions 1 and 2 albums two of the best Rock albums of all time I was 26 at the time I saw this show metallic a was just then getting recognition they weren't the band they would become yet guns and roses at that time were the band bar none
Well said Lars
Pone los subtítulos en español lpm es mucho pedir??
Axl Rose and Guns N' Roses are the best forever and ever and since ever!
5 hours of Metallica and GNR! Plus Möterhead and Faith No More.
Appetite For Destruction is still one of my top 5 albums however not higher than Metallica 🤘🏻
I saw that show at Giants Stadium BEST SHOW IVE EVER SEEN AND IVE SEEN THOUSANDS
If we could get a Guns N' Roses show/tour with the "other" Band. That would be awsome
Oui on s'en rappelle a Montréal 🤣
Was at the show in Orlando. Metallica blew it up even with James not playing because of burnt hand. By the time Guns came out with a horn section we were done.
Lagends band forever
I thought they would alternate on opening. Wasn’t it like that?
i was there, giants stadium in jersey, great show, not as good as when guns opened for aerosmith in philly.
