- Part 21: This is just ridiculous. I remember the times I was scared at 200m. This place is literal HELL. In todays adventure, we pass through the lost river to discover the inactive lava zone in our search for kyanite.

You do know that "organisms" and "orgasms" are rather different things.
39:00 when you started your mission, we heard a "thumb" noise as if you have bumped into something with your Cyclops. Most likely your Tail struck the Habitat when you turned around.
Thats why its not wise to park TO close to your Home with a ship that is so big, that normally has a Crew of 3.
Butch i know that by now you’ve finished the game, but I am SO shocked you made it to the inactive lava zone and DIDN’T hear the sea dragon’s roar. That’s ones of the most unsettling noises in subnautica by far. Can’t wait to catch up with the finals episodes of your playthough!

You made good progress this epidsode with the PRAWN suit. However, for the rest of the adventure, I would advise you to take the cyclops to the lost river. AFAIK it can travel through all passages, and you'll be able to stay way longer down there.

38:16 Ah, you must have run into the base with the cyclops. If you run into your base with a vehicle it can cause hull breaches, regardless of your hull integrity. I actually got a few when I was experimenting with whether you can dock the cyclops in the moon pool to charge it (you can’t, sadly).
Also you should use the kyanite for depth modules and other upgrades for the prawn suit and cyclops.
''please see this'' maybe it dose not have to end bc the story has an end. You can do some ''side quest's'' or try out some mods. I can see you already have some mods so why not test something new and cool. and there is a BUNCH OF MODS that makes the game feel like another game. but i really recommend playing ''subnautica bellow zero'' it is not as bad as this but it also has some crazy mods. I hope you like the game as much as i do and good luck surviving in the deepths of subnautica!:)
That's one of the best feelings in watching a new Subnautica player.
Watching them initially thinking 300 m was deep only to then be at 1500 m later on. Like, it feels like watching someone grow up.
When you returned to your base being flooded, you likely hit it with the tail of the submarine when you left. However, you did invite a reaper next to your base back in the movie.
Butch, there is actually multiple entrances to Lost River. If you find wide enough - you can bring Cyclops to Lava zone with you
A shrine is for someone who is alive, a memorial is for someone who is dead, a grave is where you burry a dead body
You got the kyanite, well done! When I first entered the volcanic area to get kyanite, I didn't have the suit that allowed me to exit the prawn, it was terrifying! Never have I hated Warpers so, so much. Looking forward to seeing you explore more of the area!

how can you possibly read "A PRODUCTION LINE OF WARPER PARTS" and not put 2 and 2 together and realize THE ALIENS MADE WARPERS TO WORK AS SECURITY TO KEEP CONTAMINATED ENTITIES IN CHECK???

If you or animals bang into your base the hull integrity level doesn't really matter it will still flood with enough physical damage.
Also those Lava Larvas suck battery from machines they are attached to.
Judging by the progress you typically make I would guess you have around 3-5 episodes left.

My dear friend Butch. I have to correct you on the Warpers. They weren't experimented on, but they were built by the Architects. I think you learn more further in the story (The Alien Species who build all the facilities)

there is one thing worse than going into the unknown or into certain danger.... going into an unknown which you KNOW contains danger and exactly the thing's you're scared of. Thats what you did and you're super brave for it.
Every Subnautica playthrough is completely unique and it's been fascinating watching you deal with your fears.

It truly does. Great editing and story telling. It's a lot of fun to watch this video series plus it inspired me to finish the game myself(also had the same struggles butch but it's been a bit more frustrating on console with just beacons and no very helpful map mod. Looking forward to his ark and other series afterwards.

Jet pack and grapple arm is the best way to prawn suit.
Seeing you play this puts my slight discomfort into complete perspective, and I'm now downloading the game to play again!

Yes I do!! I actually started the recording for the final episodes, but 10 minutes in I got a phone call about my car which was in the garage which completely derailed my week 💰😂

The prawn suit reminds me of a Dennis Quaid film, "Inner Space"
You probably damaged the base by trying to glide the cyclops out of the parking spot. You probably hit the base.
You don't have to fear leviathans in the prawn suit. Even a freshly made prawn suit with no upgrades can handle a leviathan attack.

Hey Butch, you should play raft or stranded deep they both involve a slightly lesser amount of water.
Just an FYI Butch you can get your Cyclops all the way down through the Lost River.
Wait I think that all those ion cubes might come in handy when crafting the ion power cells, just thought it might be something to look into.
There’s another entrance to the lost river that I took my Cyclops through. It is guarded by a ghost leviathan. I was able to take my Cyclops down through the lost river and down to the lava biome and build and endgame base down there.
Quite funny watching you try and work out what damaged your base without realising you smashed you Cyclops into it. 😂😂
Heads up Butch. Your base was flooded cause you hit it with the cyclopes before heading to the lava zone. Lol.
Warpers were not toertured and dead in the facility chamber, they were manufactured and not alive yet :) They are biomachines
So, why did you never go down the lost river with the cyclops ? It makes things so much easier to have a base with fabricator, storage, food and water, energy and of course safety nearby at all times. With lights off and engine powered down nothing will attack the cyclops. Also there's a module that can transfer environmental heat into energy.
Butch the warpers can’t teleport you out of your cyclops. Only your seamoth and prawn suit. Also, for Pete’s sake, take your prawn suit with you in the cyclops all the time. The prawn suit with the jump jet upgrade and grappling hook is just as useful as the seamoth. Just don’t take the prawn suit out by itself on long distances.
P.S. the seamoth shock defense upgrade works on all life forms in subnautica, including all leviathans. So they actually aren’t that dangerous if you have it installed.
When you complete the game id love to see you react to some speedruns, watching people beat the game in 30 minutes compared to the weeks you spent! 😂

Dear Butch. I thrilled along with the rest of the troops as you found one of the alien outposts, the one that takes an orange tablet. But there are two more! Luckily they are not in the lost river hah. You mentioned not wanting this series to end so i think you would be remiss if you didn't pull on your big boy pants and go look for them. One of them has a massive clue as to how the Below Zero story line was formed as well. Love your work 👌

on my 2nd playthrough, i took the cyclops down into the lost river. going there via the blood kelp zone route, i can actually get the cyclops down there.
If you want more Cuddlefish, just ask chat for the locations. They are hidden across the map.
He doesn’t have a chat and google would be better anyway.

What a great question! I don’t think I would be as scared. But it still would certainly be uncomfortable!
and you should bring your cyclops in the lava zone, because you have here still few things to found and in that way you would need to come back to surface every time for some resources, and the recomends you to do it because cyclops depht module mark 3 is up to 1400 meters down
