That was fantastic enjoyed it so much thank you for sharing and your time was awesome never miss a video. Jordan well get that field done yet be nice to get a nice hay crop next year that pays sell to your uncle or any one hay and alfalfa are going up quit a bit just a thought.
I would not feel bad about brush hogging those off. My first thought when you mentioned that was I would have done just that. A great way to rehab pasture is mow, mow and mow some more. I cleared off a few acres (a lot more manually than you with that Kubota) a couple of years ago cut stumps off a ground level and I was able use my sickle mower over them to cut hay. Things will keep improving, year over year, as long as you are mowing it, either for hay or brush hogging.
Have to watch what kinda trees they are. Up here in Canada we have red cedar trees that are the first to grow in an unattended area. You need to dig them out, if you cut them off they like crust over the wound and seal it off . They go extremely hard and sharp, and they will go right threw tractor tires time after time. When they seal off like that, they will last decades before they rot away because it seals the moisture out.
Hello Jordan was thinking if you rented a bull dozer for a day you may be further ahead. I'm surprised you have not bent your loader. Good video have a great day.
It was interesting that the homemade "vertical grapple" worked for a bit. Do you think it would have been OK if the jaws were not sharp and had full freedom of movement?
You got 'er done Jordan...and no Kub fail! Still impressed with your fab skills...and don't know if you mentioned it or want to share it....but are you employed in a mechanical or industrial type job? You seem to attack issues with a zeal I see on a few YT channels(e.g. Grind Hard Plumbing, Hunter Goderich, VGG) but do very well, imho, when you "set your mind to it!" As always...be safe, calm...and carry on!
16:19 Hi , your video was interesting as usual. Are those narrow things roots or small trees? I know you’re mowing them down. I was wondering if rototilling them would work. How do other people get rid of them keep up the good work with the videos.
Living in MN, I sympathize with you on time running out in the fall....there's always something I wish I had gotten to. I was impressed with the scissors puller - watching you in action with it was like watching a big weed puller! Too bad it wasn't as fast as hoped, especially with the time constraint.
Is that a plasma cutter your using? If so what kind is it? is it 120V? Looking for some recommendations for work. They just want to buy a small one off amazon. I don't know much about them as I have only even ran big hypertherm ones.
All tractors and cars etc do break, they shuld break, if u use them right. If u dont break stuff now and then you are not using it as u shuld, and just have it as decoration piece. No point in buying stuff if u are not using it 👍
do you wish you bought a different brand rather than that there KU-BOATER? ps that tree puller will never work, you need 5/8 steel with teeth, i also found out the hard way, dont feel bad join the team
those little trees will keep growing back , probaly need to plough the land to get the roots up . Your doing a brilliant job and i love your vids
I will keep mowing them off. It will be fine.

Congrats young man. Looking good. Thanks for the videos. 👍
Thanks!

Thats the plan. In time it will be nice again.
Not what these are.
Looks good!
Thanks!

I have been very careful about bending the loader. I always try to use the center of the grapple. Thanks!
It looks great! Good job!
Thanks!

Yes... I was just sick of working on it and running out of time to work in the field. In the future I may revisit it.
Well done!
Thanks!

Where do yo live? When I was a child in the late 60's, I lived in a small town called: White Bear Lake, (near St. Paul, MN).
@@tubeDude48 I'm south of the metro area, Webster MN....the Lonsdale, Elko area if Webster doesn't ring a bell.
@@duanek9892 - Don't know the area, but thanks!

It can run on 110 or 220 and It is one of the ones off amazon.
Are you going to plant any grass seed in the area you cleaned off? I was not sure if you can plant grass seed in the fall or spring in your area.
I will be planting hay once all of the field is cleared. Hopefully I can get the rest cleared in the spring and plant.
Ingenuity ! -- The Farmer's Insurance Policy ---
It works great and always pays out.
good job, keep safe..
Thanks!
What are your plans for the field? Hay or crops or grazing?
I will be planting hay once it's all cleared.
What are you planning to do in the area you just cleaned up?
Will be planting hay once I get the whole field cleared.
So was the plan for the ground. Are you gonna just let it grow hay immediately next year or you gonna do a little tillage and hay seeding
Will hopefully be discing and planting hay.
@@HumbleAcres cool beans👍
What are you going to do when all those little trees grow in your hay field?
They don’t grow as fast as the hay will. Regular mowing will keep them down.
@@HumbleAcres Would it help to plow the field to uproot the trees so they don't grow back?
What do you plan to do with that land you cleared?
Hay
@@HumbleAcres - Ob Course!
