In this episode, I found an amazing camp site at the edge of a cliff. I were suprised by rain whole day..so cold...
As always, I cooked Chicken Siomay as my dinner and bread with cheese and kiwi for breakfast.
I enjoy a lot of natural sound and amazing beauty scenery...it's so relaxing.

Camping in the rain knowing what you're doing and being properly organized with the right gear is cozy / relaxing to watch, when I do it it's just a big unprepared wet frustrating mess...

His video is nice, but your comment is factually wrong.. he is surrounded by nature, nice nature indeed, but he is far from being self sufficient (probably it is not his goal , in the first place!).. why, you ask? well, he uses gas for cooking, he had to get it somewhere, did not collect his farts, right? second, all the food he brought with himself from elsewhere in the bag.. in the same way he could have taken a couple of McDonnalds burgers and be self sufficient because he eats them in a tent in the countryside...lol... recording and editing is very nice, that is great feature of this video, nice nature and his desire to enjoy it.. being self-sufficient is totally another type of video, my friend..

I enjoy sleeping without gear most of the time (my area is safe af so i dont really need to carry much survival equipment) i just enjoy sleeping under a tree and listen + feel the wind blow through the leaves.
My first outdoors experience was at 11 when my parents kicked me out at night as (punishment) i went into our toolshack retrieved a old blanket and 3 trashbags (i used one as tarp and filled the 2 remaining trashbags with leaves and used them as bed) then i went into the woods behind my house and set up for the night
I had to live like this for quite a while tho
I think it was 2 months before my teachers said anything about me wearing the same clothes and stinking like shit
But i feel in love with living outdoors so at least there is that lmao
I just wish i had someone to share this world with

it’s strange, i don’t feel comfortable when i’m doing these things but i still think it’s fun doing them, and i do still find comfort in watching others do them. It’s not comfortable being soggy and wet in the rain but once your inside the tent and dry it’s amazing

The self sufficiency of everything on ones own back, the immersion in nature etc is a wonderful experience. I was a keen winter backpacker forty five years ago into the remote Cheviot Hills from digs in Alnwick, at the time not a cook but now I would pre-prepare a casserole, or lasagne or snack on egg n bacon pie or huge filled pasties etc etc) ... and with lots of pre-cooked potatos and fresh veg; hiking in winter ie snow or frost meant little could 'go off'. Theres lots of ideas in my mind for better quality camp cookery nowadays. Breakfast next day ... boy-o-boy would be quite an affair, full egg n bacon (hint : plus now I wld add halloumi) and always a good bread. Only problem are the cooking pans but easy solved, ie two frying (nesting) plus steamer and of course snap top plastic containers. Always shield the flame and seal any cooking vessel for efficiency. I enjoyed this youtube, great way to 'kill' a weekend, I wish my legs could still do it ...
