Nothing is better than your own experience. An exclusionary diet with occasional variation is most revealing. I have tried everything from total vegan to exclusively carnivore. Try things for yourself. Every single plant contains fiber. Every single plant also contains toxins to prevent animals from eating (killing) it. Some are less troublesome for you than others. I suggest you proceed based on your own actual experience, not based on what someone else suggests is good for you, because you are unique and nobody can know what works best for you without testing it.

I have an autoimmune disease (Behcet's). A century ago, without modern medicine, I would have been dead before I was diagnosed -- if Dr Behcet had defined the disease back then, since it was only identified less than a sentence ago.
Because it's a disease more common in Central Asia, I have to fight like hell every time I change doctors. I have been told, literally, that I couldn't have it because "it's rare, you can't have it."
Like ADD or ASD, these diseases are being diagnosed more often not necessarily because their true prevalence is well in advance of medical education deficits and White Coat Syndrome.
Any syndrome without a specific lab diagnostic (e.g. A1C) is almost guaranteed to be a underdiagnosed. If it depends on interviewing by the doctor, it is vulnerable to bias or ignorance of the medical professional.
How do we exclude this from an increase in autoimmune syndromes?

Make a curry with any paste base. Add coconut milk, onion, garlic, chilli, fresh turmeric, chick peas, fresh tomatoes, lime juice, broccoli, green beans, cauliflower and eat with brown rice and plain yoghurt. Eat this for two days and you will feel better. I truly believe this helps the gut. Stop overcomplicating it. Less is more. I hope it helps. It helped me.

I'm vegan, and I ate for example potatoes, beet, spinach, carrots etc. And then I got osteoarthitis on my hip, doctors said why, but it was oxalates that was the reason.

It's all so interesting and I have to take care not to be consumed (pardon the pun) by it all - I still have to live a life. But, I really think alcohol plays a big part in gut health, as well as mental health. Alcohol really does stop the absorption of vitamins and minerals, especially B12, magnesium, zinc - really important things people don't think about until they're losing their hair, balance, and with B12, their minds. I've been off the booze since March 2023 and have definitely noticed a difference.

Don’t eat more fibre. This ‘doctor’ is completely wrong on the fibre question. You can get short chain fatty acids directly from eating animal fats and fish as humans are evolved to do.
There is ZERO requirement for fibre in the human diet. You’d be much better off listening to Dr Chaffee for dietary advice than this man.

I agree with the other comment. I've been zero fiber for over 3 years after focusing on all the B.S. in this video. My digestion is flawless without it. Our microbiome only needs to support what we eat. It's our immune system's first line of defense to what travels through our digestion and it also helps to break things down.
A healthy gut microbiome is the gut microbiome we have when we're healthy.
